I remember seeing this on MTV wish was it's self only a year old. We watched everything on MTV then. I loved this concert. She sang a lot more with him than this song and I loved the concert. Once a young hippie, then a yuppie in the eighties now in the new century an old hippie again. Think I was right the first time!

Fantastic duet, matching voices and all, but what an awkwad stage performance. He's doing random leg kicks and Vegas-showgirl swings, and she's trying to keep up with him by thrusting at the stage.

This is better appreciated with the eyes closed.

oh my god!! thank you for posting this!! rod stewart has been my favorite singer since I was two. when I was six, my doctor told my mom if I didn't stop damaging my vocal cords I was gonna sound like kim carnes when I grew up. they must have liked that idea, because I can't remember being told to stop yelling so my cords could heal. now, my voice is on the raspy side. but unfortunately, I don't sound like her.

Great post ! A rare gem, it was great to hear the duet and see them frolicking around on stage. I saw Rod in concert on that tour and I think he was at his best looking then.

Thank you for posting this! I've been a huge Kim Carnes fan since 1981 and I've always wanted to see this performance. But I have a feeling that they didn't rehearse and Kim was a bit lost, trying to follow Rod's "choreography" (or lack of it).

Anyways, she is MARVELOUS and they have a very nice voice match. The personalities, on the other hand... what a difference!
