@NgJackal1990 Japan does not have an army. So theyre basically stuck to negotiations. At best they could hire another country to bring them home. But my guess is theyre afraid that North Korea will get rid of the kids if theyre pushed too far about the subject.

Easy to be said than done. If Korea need to be rid of communists. Two thing need to be true, first South Korea's willingness to war the North and for China to back out of their support to the North.

@kook2222 North Korea does not practice what is traditionally known as communism. Its their own special version of it - a corrupted version. Dont get me wrong, I dont like communism either, but defining communism on the basis of how North Korea practices it, is just wrong.

Looking back, the nations that have controlled by Stalin have developed oppresive government except for a few that have change to a better nation, like the East Germany for example. It's a good thing that Japan was not divided into two with USSR and US, it would be very different today.
