i had a crash few days ago with my skoda octavia 5 (1.4) and i was with 60hm/h and i hit a tree....the only think who broke was the body kit .....realy is too strong car....!!!!

@harrygoozee Yeah, but the superb is a big car. I costs a lot more and has almost the same price of a standard vw passat. The passat looks a bit boring, but the superb is still a skoda... if you know what i mean

@JENSDONT yes which the passat is smaller and sportier while the superb is a large family car...i have been in all 3 of the cars and the octavia is the worst...if i could have £20,000 to spend on a car, i would have a passat

@harrygoozee Yeah, but I have to say skoda is also good quality these days (VW concern), and it hasn't got such a bad reputation anymore. The superb is indeed more a family vehicle and the passat is more like a 'leasing car' for company's. I guess the superb has almost the size of an Audi A6... and it costs a lot less off course

@JENSDONT the passat and octavia are are sorta the same...the passat i went in had done over 100,000 miles...and the suberb did about 60,000 miles and the octavia did 90,000 miles...but they were taxis

@harrygoozee I guess the Superb is an excelent taxi-car. The space on the back is enormous! It could have been an Audi A8. :)

@miestozverys ! Skoda Superb first generation (B5, Typ 3U) used platform from 1999 B5 Volkswagen Passat LWB "long wheelbase" (B5 PL45+). Skoda Superb second gen. (B6, Typ 3T) based on stretched version platform A5 PQ35 (not Passat).
