  • He's too far up on the stick with his left hand. That's why he's flicking his finger out to get good rebound.

  • Awesome!

  • do it slowly first, use the stick like you normaly would

  • @morroida9966 actually this is the traditional grip : )

  • @Txiki6x + go Watch Vinnie Colaiuta and look what he does with traditional grip

or Steve Gadd or Dave Weckl.

  • @Txiki6x i know, i always play like that when im playing jazz, but hes not doing so well at it

  • @morroida9966 that's true :D

  • hey dude your aw

  • You inspired me to take drum lessons.

  • Really good in places. Check out my dubstep guitar channel if you get a a chance, something different. keep the uploads coming man you've got potential, nice kit setup too :)

  • haha i thought at the very first second you got somethings from jojo mayer then i read the description =D

  • Гарно! Чувак молодець! :D (Ukr)

  • U R awesome dude!

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, do you think tightening the snares would make it a bit more crisp?

    Otherwise, it was aammaazziinnggg(:

  • @iPwnsYou297 probably. That's what makes drum line snares so sharp--they're tuned crazy high. I did that with my snare a while ago because I was playing a show where I needed to have crisp, clean hits, and it worked like a charm; also, having a steel snare makes it a little bit crisper. I own a steel snare, and I've played on wood ones before, and the steel is definitely crisper in comparison.

  • somebody has been listening to jojo hahahahah

    not bad...keep practicing

  • Keep it up, man; you're a hell of a lot better than I'd be right now - don't let any disparaging remarks get you down.

  • deadly dude, heard one or two mistakes i think your timing is pretty good tho. Need more people that can play dnb like this on drums, wish i could do it myself.

  • нет слов,отлично играет!

  • Nice Crazy ^^

  • This stuff isn't that easy to play. He's a bit off time but I think overall it's pretty good.

I love that China on your right.

  • Świetne. Gdyby "spiąć" bardziej perkusję to byłoby brzmienie Mayera ;) Technicznie jest bardzo blisko :D Gratuluję

  • Dude you inspired my to purchase another snare. So much more emotions in the music now

  • love the add on's ......sounds like some great drillnbass

  • that china sounds beast

    \m/

  • sweeeeeeeeet

  • great dnb groove

  • @Thomlistentoslayer

don't dis the man, the guy's a talent & young, look what he's doing now!!!!!

beats is beats & these are nice beats.

I love vinyl d'n'b but don't accuse plagiarism because i can hear similar structure here

great drummin mate, i wish you ALB with it :))

  • Ты лучший :)

  • a feq years ago i thought dnb can`t be played on drums...i thought its just electronic:D

  • fair enough you pretty awesome ,... keep it up

  • its definatlly not crisp... you need to work o your timing and you'll be wicked

  • AMAZING!!!

  • sweet:)

  • круто

  • So damn COOL man! 5*! Rock on.. but now it seems like the bass is still missing for a nice drum and BASS music! ^^

  • Honestly all I can come up with after playing for 35 years myself is -- keep practicing because I've missed the point of this.

It's just repetative and extremely basic dude.

    Rock on.....

  • Can I use this track in one of my poetry videos? Ill credit you with same...

  • "Drum and bass" inprovisation 2 * Did I miss somthing?

  • jojo mayer...........jajaja

  • Dude, your good but you need to tighten it up! work it slow and with a metronome. or just slow at first. Theirs no point in playing fast if you can't do it tight.

  • suckt

  • COOL.

Try to work more your left foot.

    Groove on...

    NBdrums

  • FUCKING AWESOME especially from 1:04

    Zajebioza koles, wymiatasz ^^

  • next jojo mayer if you tighten it abit man but still awesome xD

  • jabon! you are great/

  • were you wired , ha

  • you got potential man..even if this is the beginning stages keep practicing and you'll get better everyone does

  • Great mate, keep the DnB spirit going!

  • keep practicing

  • woooooooo watch that lefty, otherwize nice ideas, don'give a shit if you use dem off someone else, by the way just take it a li'l slower for a start....

  • how long have you been doing DnB?

  • thought that was rather impressive myself lol , dont care wot anyone says , it takes hard work and pratice to go that fast and that constant and u did make a few mistakes , so wot , who doesnt when there practicing , u did great pal , i luv drum n bass

  • y would u put a vid up if u suck soooooooooooooooooooooo bad wow practice man

  • I didn't like this much unfortunately

  • totally agree with the jo jo mayer comment.....you obviously have the drive and potential for being a good drummer, maybe just need to work on the originality of your parts.

  • how is playing the same thing over and over improv?

  • I dont know how you could copy the same exact Jojo Mayer beats... everything you just did was stright from his proformances. i dont know to be impressed, or upset that you can't play you own...

  • Great job dude...nice nice. It's so difficult to play that's...

  • good job, but could be better :D, try listening some jazz, hell some beatcore might even help, you got the idea, but it's not quite there.

  • definitely inspired by jojo mayer. a most excellent drummer he is! excellent stuff there mate! did you learn from watching him? you use lots of his grips etc. great for the quick rolls! excellent stuff man

  • I really do like this, why don't you do your own stuff keenan90..........if your that good you fucking dick

  • mah...

  • you are just moving the same basic beat across the set! that's not improvisation at all. the only part that deviated and showed flow and motion was the last four seconds. yes that was a well played technical beat. but its just a rock beat. listen to some jazz man. Dave King especially, you'd probably like him. or some old school like Gene Kruppa, Buddy Rich, or stuff like that. keep working, the ability is there, unlock it.

  • hey, i always wanted to know the advantages to holding the stick like that (in your left hand)

  • different sound

    ease to roll

different feel may be more suitable for the drummer

  • brilliant!!

  • very jojo mayer style :P very good

  • nice :D

  • i think you are a very good drummer but to me it doesn't seem like you are cought in the music. to me it seems too technical

  • caught*

  • O/ . . . \O

  • Try getting some pots and buckets they sound peng they need to be more bass

  • OUaii....where is the emotion ? the feeling?

  • Amazing

  • It's good, but a little too repetitive

  • D&B is based on a loop of drum...

  • True.. Call me crazy though, I can get much into something that seems repetitive unless there's other instruments involved. You have skill.. Better than me. I just prefer to mix it up.

  • really really cool and awesome!

  • Awesome speed, nice skills:)

  • славно жиганит

  • Zaebca 4uva4ok hujarit = molodca =)

  • - - -

  • I LOVE the upside down cymbal far right (I always call them a China, don't know if that's right). That ugly crash is wicked.

  • yep chinas the style of symmbol

  • Slow it up a bit and keep rhythms consistent

Other than that, it was good

  • stop being bitches buys.

    its drum n bass

something thts considered a musical feature of it isss how repetative it is. gd job

  • Needs a little more variation but its not bad ^_^

  • if i need someone to make me a repetitive track, over and over and over again, you'll be the first one i call on.

  • too many drums for him I think

  • shit

  • I fucking love this! where did you collect the notes from?

  • you will ruin your left wrist if you continue using traditional grip.

  • how do you figure that?

  • traditional grip was formed to use old marching snare drums that hung at the marcher's side. this was to make it more comfortable and convinient for marching. however, when you take the drum, straghten it out, and put it in front of you, your wrist needs to turn at an unnatural angle to play effectively. you can lessen the damage by tilting your snare imitating the old marching drums. (most drummers who use this grip do that) but if you don't want to, suit yourself.

  • ur right

  • touche

  • fasza(Y) nice :D

  • nice ghost notes

  • Awesome, man!

  • are you using a double bass pedal or is it with one foot just curious by the way great beat/rhythm keep doing what your doing

  • He's only using one drum pedal.

I think he's using heeltoe-method on the bass drum..

  • ROOTWATER !!!

  • Rootwater indeed ;-)

  • ur awesome man keep it up

  • hot

  • shit man that is insane, NICE

  • killer dnb grooves man

  • ho yeah !

  • what type is that additonal snare? how is it called?

  • Very cool drumset ;)

I remember the times when I was playing on It :D

    Talented.

  • nice set, nice beats

    ---> keep it up

  • Nice foot work

  • oooooohhhh yeaaahhh....jojo mayer!!!!!!! you've got some skills there dude!!!

  • very great... you´re very talented

  • Heavy Talent !!!!!

  • massive props to you....were you in the army at any stage of your life?

  • get a johnny rabb video. traditional is tired

  • it looks like you're having fun and that's the most important thing.

  • waya un makina!!

  • first of all..it's good.

    BUT

you're not just inspired by jojo..many fills are just copied..but not half as good.

and the part where you grab the cymbals is not even close to jojo.

i think it's very confusing and simply not right that this vid has more views then ANY jojo mayer vid on youtube!!!!!!!!!!

  • Man,calm down! What are you talkin about! This is awesome, maybe without dynamic, but it is still awesome!!Nobody cant play like Jojo,of course, but if Vinnie is trying to play drum and bass,You would tell him same thing you told this guy:"NOT EVEN CLOSE TO JOJO"??!

  • YES! i would put the same comment below a colaiuta vid if he just copies jojo mayer and gets more credit then mayer himself. that would piss me off too, definately.

i just think that it's pretty lame that when u search for jojo you get this, a mayer copy of HIS solo and song from the modern drummer festival 2005 (look it up), instead of the guy himself.

  • wicked bad!!!

  • sick as hell dude

  • great!

  • Too repetitive man...

  • aaaaa its soooo cooool!!!!!!!

  • i say he was alright

    keep it up!

  • I've been telling everybody this... jojo gives us humans a little extra mojo... very nice playing

  • sick!!!

  • yo dude keep up the work! ur getting there....it looks like ur trying a lil bit too hard but it all comes with practice

  • like other have said, a tiny bit off here and there, but lets face it 180bpm odd is hard to keep tight. Nice job

  • Check out L.A.O.S. - Strong (Spin Recordings)... Its soo cool!

  • its off as hell

  • sounded a bit sloppy

  • Can see the Majer influence.

It's good but abit off sometimes.

Tighten it up and it would be amazing :)

  • i notice some jojo mayer influence, am i right?

  • yup, i noticed too

  • seems a little off

    but its alright

  • muscle shirt.

  • Fuckyng great dude!!!!!!!!!!! 5*

  • thats real good dude .

  • i feel like the rhythm is off on the drums.

  • Nice one man, I like your kick pedal work, I take it you're using single pedal?

The Jojo Mayer stuff I rweally like is the backsticking hi-hat work using that wee 13" snare to the left.

Keep up the good work brosef!

  • you should live in southern california so we could jam. please?

  • dude nice, i love ur progessive kinda style

  • takie sobie:/ myli rytm często..

  • you crazy fockin bitch!!!

  • I have the Jojo Mayer dvd with all the street beatz. this is one of them. good job!

  • What do you physically need to have to be a good drummer? Do you need to be able to be fast or have some sort of good co ordination?

  • You don't really need to have strong abilities in these areas prior to trying to start drumming. You just need to practice certain things over and over till you can do it good. When I started drumming I could have hardly done a single stroke roll with one beat per second. 2-3 years later i could probably fit about 8-12 beats in a second. yay!

  • Hmm... I'm quite fast at table tapping. When I'm bored I can sit at the table and tap the table REALLY fast and i though "Hmm... I wonder wa would happen if I done the same on a drum kit?" Lol

  • both of them!

    God Bless

  • just listen to music a lot. then try and play songs on drums. perfect them. pretty soon youll understand what needs to be hit and when and youll understand the drums as an instrument. then you can make up your own stuff like this guy.

just listen to lots of music. and practice playing a lot.

  • Very good!

  • !!!sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!

  • are those heads remo black suedes?

  • wut wut boza drumma!!! wikid mush up!

  • Very good... a better microphone setup would have done it much justice. I could hear your talent though!

  • awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love itttttttttttt

  • not as good as edwordless breakbeat...this is a bit too fast really....

  • perfektni...

  • Very awesome!

  • suksssssssssss yo.

  • freakin awesome m8!!

  • Awesome!!!

  • pretty strong with the traditional grip. i like ur style.

  • practice more.

    why so fast?

and stop hitting high every sec. not helping

  • because it's drum n bass. know what you're talking about before you criticise.

  • Lol, you have no clue what your talking about. This is Drum & Bass.

  • Very sweet dude! I would like to jam with you^^

  • Sweet drumming dude.

  • pretty sweet! go jojo!
