How do you get onto this server? I've tried to play on the prince umeboshi server but every time i try to join it when it has more than 20 people this BF1942 just crashes. I have tried it on compatibility: Windows 98/ME, but that didn't help. Can anyone help? PLEASE REPLY!!!!!!! thx

You have to download their monthly map tweak packs to be able to play on their server. You can find the dl-links on the bottom left on my channel page.

Be aware that they will auto-kick you if you have a high ping.

When you say you can't play the game, are you saying the launcher for BF1918 isn't working correctly? What error messages are you getting? When you start up regular battlefield 1942, are you able to choose battlefield 1918 from the custom games option in the menu?

I wish mods were easy to download. I wish you can just install it as a playable shortcut. I wish we didn't have to install the zip., then extract and install the game. I don't even know how to play Battlefield 1918 3.0 with Battlefield 1942 1.6. Can anyone help me, please?

@fizzer221 What's so complicated about installing mods? As far as I remember, every battlefield mod was just download the zip or pure .exe file, double click, click next a shitload of times, then done. What's so complicated about clicking the "next" button on an installer?

@BDNeon I've already installed the battlefield modification from the net, I've extracted the zip. file, and I've installed the the game to my Windows 7. But I can't play the game. This is the first time I have intalled a mod. Can you be patient and give me step-by-step instructions please? Thank you very much! :)

@fizzer221 i dunno....it was such an easy mod... you just donwload all the 3 downloading parts and then just "yes" to everything and soon i had my own BF1918 shortcut image there and when i press it BF1918 works fine. and yes ur also able to find the bf1918 from the custom games.

@nikofinman All mods run seperately from eachother as far as I know. So no, having different mods should have no effect on others you're already using. I myself recently rediscovered my missing 2nd install disc for BF1942, and have been enjoying the living hell out of my old fav mods. now if only I could get people to play them with me ><

@Ashmole3 So would I. They kicked me off the server at the end of the last video sequence, so I never got to see how it turned out. It was literally right as I dropped through that floor hatch that it paused, and then I was sitting looking at the main menu.

@wtfringe123 Sounds like punkbuster might be giving you trouble. There's a lot of wierd shit you gotta do to get old punkbuster stuff to work with mods. Check around on the forums for Forgotten Hope, they might be able to help you out.

A proposed supertank that was designed but never built by Krupp.

The map is indeed El Alamein, but it's been modified in FHSW with destroyable factories in the British Bases and the Ratte, among other special vehicles. Map is renamed Operation Rattrap and you win by blowing up either the Ratte or the factories depending on which team you are.

@francsico1945 Hoo boy.... I haven't installed FHSW in a while, and it was always a bit of a hassle getting everything running right on Vista. My advice is to check out the Forgotten Hope forums, unless you can read japanese in which case just go straight to the FHSW forums, and I'll bet someone's posted a how to guide to getting the game to run right on Windows 7.

People still play, and as you saw it is possible to fill up a server, but it's usually at very specific and usually odd times. This game is very unpopular with americans, but the japanese (who created it) and the europeans love it. You wanna play with other folks, it's usually on their hours.

So don't download it and expect to see 50 servers full of people in the middle of the day.

Still totally f-ing worth waiting till 3 in the morning to play though.

@BDNeon Its unpopular with Americans because it actually takes skill to kill someone as compared to the vanilla version where you can simply side step and still get kills from afar. I know this 1st hand since im an American. I'd take FH over normal any day.
