  • He had every right to defend his life and his babies.

  • He may have been cleared criminally, but there's no shortage of Democrat lawyers willing to sue him in civil court for everything he's got. "A top 49%er shooting a bottom 51%er! It's a hate crime!"

  • @CambridgeHeights It's called a safe, they have ones that mount to the bed frame and open with a programable fingerprint (be it dad or mom or both).

Problem solved - little johnny cant get to daddys gun and daddy can keep little johnny safe.

  • Having a gun in the house increases the chances of an accidental death. For example if a child discovers it and uses it. I'm not saying that you shouldn't own a gun, I'm just saying that it's something to consider. If you live in an extremely safe neighborhood, you might be putting your family in more danger by having a gun. Nevertheless, it is your right and your decision.

  • Why did this guy even have to go to court on this case. He shot someone breaking into his home. Were is the problem???

  • @Pastrano66 The problem is that too many damn liberal gun haters, some of which are probably felony prosecuters, like ot make examples out of good, hardworking people who use a gun to defend themselves. Why? They don't like guns, and they don't like people who have guns. When a man kills a crook, he has denied the state of putting that crook on trial, and sentencing him to a few years of luxury living behind bars to enjoy 3 meals a day, cable TV, clean clothes, and free medical treatment.

  • More Americans are armed now then ever before. We elected a guy who hates guns. This has turned many into gun colletors. I ;like Obama personally but he scares me on his gun control views. The gun industry LOVES him. He is protected by a well aremed and trained group. We aren't.

  • Handguns are good for defense on the street and in open buildings. Shotguns are best for home defense, unless you use slugs, you won't risk harming others in nearby rooms.

  • @98RamMagnum Handguns are great for close quarter fighting. Shotguns are awesome for clearing a room full of criminals. AR-15 type of weapons are perfect to protect the freedom of keeping those 1st two types of weapons in your home. On shotguns for home defense, use law enforcement ammo. It's a bit more expensive, but designed to shred the criminals insides without too much risk of overpenetration. And all that blood & guts will be easily cleaned off after they haul off the dead criminal's body.

  • This is the world we live in and most anti gunners hate the fact that WE THE PEOPLE will protect our family and love ones from the MONTSERS of society. Those who oppose gun ownership only have to view the local news to see that their position is wrong and very dangerous to their well being. We are not advocating murder but we are advocating the preservation of life by any means taken/necessary...

  • I would do the same, I am sure you all would.

This is what Mexico needs to prevent the drug gangs from breaking into people house and kidnapping them shoot to killed, kill or be killed.

  • Well he may need more training but he still got the job done.He is a credit to his country and a hero to his family .

  • 1 down many more 2 go!

  • It's never a tragedy when a dangerous, violent scumbag bites the dust. The world is a safer place because this shooting happened

  • I remember Joe Horn

  • Hey best.......just FYI........if you kill someone in self defense we don't call that murder. Murder is a crime. Killing someone and murdering them are not necessarily the same thing. That's like if you borrowed a car from someone, and the police charged you with car theft just because you happen to be in possession of the car. If the owner of the car gave you permission you can legally have the car, and you aren't a thief. If you kill someone within the bounds of the law, you aren't a murderer

  • If you are giving people the right to use weapons at least teach them on the how-to s!

  • It is always a tragedy when someone loses their life. But if you are trying to harm someone...you deserve whatever you get!

  • I am sorry his family had to go through out, by brother took care of business and his family. He is the kind of Dad every kid in America should have. Armed, trained, level-headed, and a protector of the family home! God bless, criminals take note we will not be messed with!

  • You fail to realize many things despite my agreement with you one this one point.

  • I question how trained he is, when he was displaying his gun for the camera, it was not properly held, the magazine was in, and the chamber was closed. So we can only assume he was showing them a loaded gun and holding it horizontal, that is not good.

  • near the end of the video the woman says "the man he killed lives just a few houses down from his family". you know what that means? ZOMBIE!

  • He used to live...

  • Good for this guy.

  • sometimes familes train the sons and daughters to be thieves and stuff

    wow that must haought you

having neibors telling you that you mudered their son

you snould pack up and move out of state

and carry your gun everywhere you go

    good job though

  • Many hails to this gentleman. May decent people prevail over the ones that attempt to do us harm.

  • dats how we do u in da city of htown lol good job tired of bad things happening in this city

  • Good job, an American Hero

  • *voice out of nowhere*

  • Good for him.

  • Don't wana get shot? Don't victimize people!

  • YOU SEE THIS AMERICA??!

when you are armed you have "OPTIONS"

when you are not armed you have "NO OPTIONS"

    GO BUY A GUN!

  • Amen

  • @gacylikesbrutal

I live in Cali. Don't think we're ALL a bunch of hippie gun haters. I've got a 12-Guage under my bed. Anyone breaking into my home will get a face full of buckshot. :)

  • Im glad he is ok and that his family is safe. Good for him.

  • Im glad he was found innocent. Self defence and protecting his family... Im glad everyone was okay.

  • I think the security system he had at the time worked real well. No need for anything else.

    good video!!

  • My uncle is getting a gun b ecuase one night he cought a 25 ear old man tryng to break in throiugh a kitchen window, my unlce yelled at him and spooked the man away. After that he decided to get a gun, he has two young duaghters and a wife to protect, so next time if yelling doesnt work, then the bullet will.

  • Criminals will always prefer unarmed victims.

A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone because when seconds count the police are only minutes away.

  • An armed citized is a safe citizen!

  • amen sir

  • This is a prime example of why more Law-abiding Americans should take advantage of our right to bear arms. Good on the homeowner in this video.

  • same reason why I own firearms I have ladies in my life that I want to keep safe.

  • STOP!

    GO AWAY!

    I HAVE CALLED THE POLICE!

    THEY ARE ON THE WAY!

I HAVE A GUN! IF YOU COME IN I WILL SHOOT!

Shoot 200 rounds at the range, yelling that as loud and as fast as you can before each and every shot.

    Great practice..

  • If someone breaks into my house the only warning they get is the subtle sound of the hammer dropping.

  • Good thing this happened in Texas. If this were in Cali he would have to verbally warn the suspect then make SURE the suspect had a weapon in his hand and WASNT running away. In that case its OKAY to shoot. But to shoot some guy crawling in your window in Cali..you're done and in jail. Sucks i know! So, I myself have my burgler routine down. Verbally warn, fire warning shot, if suspect doesn't approaches, 1 in his chest. If only i can remember all that under stress. =/

    L.A. Gun owner.

  • why would you have to do any of that. If the guy dies in your house it's your word over the corpse.

  • howabout move from cali?

  • @bubejunkie DO NOT fire warning shots,

do a search on defense and weapons tactics, too dangerous, shoot to stop.

  • I agree with cramsa. Unfortunately far too many americans do not fully understand that the entire Bill of Rights and maybe the Constitution itself is held up by the Second Amendment. Clearly Mr. Barone did what a man should do, he protected his family.

  • Is there a Castle Doctrine in Colorado? Just curious.

  • He and his family are well and safe... that's ALL THAT MATTERS... thank goodness where here in America have the 2nd Amendment and have the right to protect ourselves from people who would do us harm.
