Thanks for the video tutorial. I like it in particular because it doesn't take short-cuts and is precise. I am a life-long sketcher and, even though I am moderately familiar with Illustrator and enjoy digital brushwork, I just haven't been able to marry my sketches with the digital format. This may help.
