Oh, I should have a video of my first vintage box fan up soon as soon as I have some time off. Pics of it are up on DT under the thread, "Late 1975 K-223 Pics."
Well I can give you some information on it. This is one of the first K-223's produced. It was like sometime in the fall of 1975 (probably October) that the plastic bladed K-223's replaced the metal bladed Kmart P-23's (later modeled as
K-23's). This one is the same shade of blue as the Kmart P-23's/K-23's. Yet it already has the style of handle on all Lakewood box fans from 1976 to 1998, and all P-25's from 2000 to 2007 (at the time the P-25 was discontinued).
Also, I plan to do a second video of me comparing my vintage box fan to, you know, one of those "almighty brace bladed box fan wonders". :p That video I intend to make as a tribute and video responce to the video that taught me pretty much all I know about box fans and quality, EmersonCollie's "Today's Lakewood Box Fan" video.
Great video! It's nice to see that you're making fan videos again. I sure miss the ones you deleted. I hope you bring them back one of these days. Well at least you're back into it. That's good to know.
Sure, it is going to take a long time. But hey, at least you're re-videoing the ones you did before. Hopefully you'll do still video the new fans you get at the same time you re-video the old ones.
In my uncle's lake house, there is the exact same fan, but it does not have the kenmore logo on it. It is a plain GE fan.

Glad you like the fan, Myles, and glad you got it lubricated sufficiently to stop that noise.
