na-interview ko rin si Yda Henarez sa aking radio program and she told me na hindi talaga grand winner sina jonalyn and brenan. actually, it was cercado sisters and a lady who put the philippines in the map of wcopa after jonalyn and rizza.
Rizza navales almost got the Grand Champion of the World if not she missed the gold in one category. (try to view my interview with her in youtube. just hit Atty tonton and look for rizza navales). Aria so far got the highest award in the last Wcopa competition. i was also able to interview her on channel 4 and in my radio show.

bragging sila sa award ni jonalyn, which is ok lang naman kasi pinapasikat nila talaga yun si jonalyn at brenan. ang kaso lang yung mga totoong nanalo ng malalaking awards ay na iinsulto pag sinasabi nila na grand champ sila(jonalyn/brenan/GMA&former director). ang nanalo ng star trophy ay sila cercado sisters, reymund sajor, jed madela and aria clemente. ang nanalo na over all grand champion performer of the world ay si jed(2005, senior) and aria (2007, junior).

Jonalyn and Brenan were grand finalists in duet/group vocal entry in 2006. They were never declared as GRAND Champions of the World in 2006. They never got in as solo performers in the grand finals in 2006.
GRAND Champs from the Philippines in the last three years are Jed Madela (2005), Aria Clemente (2007), Reymond Sajor (2007) and the Cercado Sisters (2006).

Pls do your research first before posting. You may google WCOPA's official web site. Jonalyn and Brenan were grand finalists only in 2006. Reymond is Grand Champion of the World while Aria is Overall Grand Champion of the World in 2007 WCOPA.

Ang 1st prize RnB na sinasabi mo that Jonalyn and Brenan got were just special awards given after round 2 of the competitions in 2006. There were 4 rounds in the competition. Grand finalists lang po talaga inabot nila Jonalyn and Brenan in 2006. I know my data. Pls double check with WCOPA US executives.

listen to the origal theatre and movie recording and see the difference. tapos i-justify mo kung nag rehearse sila at kung makatarungan ang mga adlibs nila at ang ending...naman! (but then again, i am not attacking any of the individual singers. may kanya kanya silang galing pero this song really doesn't work for them as a group!
JACOB....why do we have to compare them sa original in the forst place,, they wer not trying to copy.. 2nd they were not promoting rent as a play...its their own interpretation...lahat ng artists sa mundo hindi pwedeng i compare sa mga original ...sobrang me exceptions lang jan..they were trying to showcase individually ang mga talents ng wcopa...in fairness lahat sila magaling...kaya nga nanalo sila.. its not the best rendition but definitely its not the worst.
1. yeah right...they were not trying to copy, tell that to the marines.
2. kaya nga sabi ko, i didn't like their rendition. so if you can't live with others opinion. pasensya ka.
3. lahat pwedeng i-compare, sinong may sabing hindi. kaya nga we say na mas magaling tayo sa iba...kasi nga we're comparing di ba? kaya nga may natatalo at may nananalo eh.
4. am not questioning their talent as individual artists, ok. tulad ng sinabi ko magaling sila individually.

bragging sila sa award ni jonalyn, which is ok lang naman kasi pinapasikat nila talaga yun si jonalyn at brenan. ang kaso lang yung mga totoong nanalo ng malalaking awards ay na iinsulto pag sinasabi nila na grand champ sila(jonalyn/brenan/GMA&former director). ang nanalo ng star trophy ay sila cercado sisters, reymund sajor, jed madela and aria clemente. ang nanalo na over all grand champion performer of the world ay si jed(2005, senior) and aria (2007, junior).

Sorry to disappoint you again but Rizza Navales, like Jonalyn and Brenan, didn't grab a GRAND CHAMPION trophy during the 2005 grand finals night duet category with Jed Madela.

maraming categories yan pero i'm sure si brenan and jonalyn duet sila nanalo not as a solo performer. Just search 2006.Pero gma talagang walang ginagawa sa mga talent nanalo last year kundi and mga gma artist. And i think its not fair

Jonalyn and Brenan were grand finalists in duet/group vocal entry in 2006. They were never declared as GRAND Champions of the World in 2006. They never got in as solo performers in the grand finals in 2006.
GRAND Champs from the Philippines in the last three years are Jed Madela (2005), Aria Clemente (2007), Reymond Sajor (2007) and the Cercado Sisters (2006).

mawalang galang na po pero i dont think nanloloko lang ang gma. di nila pwedeng gawin un dahil pwede silang idemanda ng WCOPA management. so basically, kung anuman ung mga awards na napanalunan nila jonalyn at brenan (according sa press release ng gma), totoo un. its just the readers that misinterpret it.

Pls do your research first before posting. You may google WCOPA's official web site. Jonalyn and Brenan were grand finalists only in 2006. Reymond is Grand Champion of the World while Aria is Overall Grand Champion of the World in 2007 WCOPA.

Sorry to disappoint you hugejawbreaker. This is Oliver Oliveros, Associate Director for 2007 Team Philippines WCOPA. Ang 1st prize RnB na sinasabi mo that Jonalyn and Brenan got were just special awards given after round 2 of the competitions in 2006. There were 4 rounds in the competition. Grand finalists lang po talaga inabot nila Jonalyn and Brenan in 2006. I know my data. Pls double check with WCOPA US executives.

listen to the origal theatre and movie recording and see the difference. tapos i-justify mo kung nag rehearse sila at kung makatarungan ang mga adlibs nila at ang ending...naman! (but then again, i am not attacking any of the individual singers. may kanya kanya silang galing pero this song really doesn't work for them as a group!

JACOB....why do we have to compare them sa original in the forst place,, they wer not trying to copy.. 2nd they were not promoting rent as a play...its their own interpretation...lahat ng artists sa mundo hindi pwedeng i compare sa mga original ...sobrang me exceptions lang jan..they were trying to showcase individually ang mga talents ng wcopa...in fairness lahat sila magaling...kaya nga nanalo sila.. its not the best rendition but definitely its not the worst.
