  • Where u located?

  • what turbo setup is used on that motor?

  • I'm in the middle of a cam chain replacement and i was wondering if you would know the torqu specs for the cam bolts and if there is a seq for them. If so it would be greatly appreciated

  • @jazzpur Do you have any idea how gifted you are?

  • really nice facility you got there, and a really pro job..

  • Thank u very much! Can u keep sending other videos about timing belt?

  • Using this guide and my Bentley to rebuild my B6 Audi A4 1.8t. Very helpful info about the timing by the way. Quick question however. Most people use gasket sealant on the headgasket and such... your video doesn't show this... what do you recommend? Sealant or just put the headgasket on dry?

  • @Tdfries OEM 20v gaskets do not use gasket sealant....youll see in the bently that they are installed dry

  • @jazzpur They do show to put a dab of sealant in each of the corners by the cam tensioner and end cam cap.

  • Nice to see a 5 valve per cylinder head. Not many vehicles have this design. I have the 20V head from my 1.6L Toyota MR2 engine. Your videos really helped highlight the main points in engine rebuilding thanks for sharing this info.

  • this videos are really good, I'm a building engineer had a very bad time fixing my 01 1.8 turbo jetta no mechanics available for a right away and some of them stupidly expensive, i watched the video a couple of times, bought the right tools and materials as recommended take my time fixing it and boooom, i been driving ma jetta for almost 3 months not. the problem timing belt broke out at 70 miles per hour......

  • @TheMountaineer03 t. belt on my A4 1.8T broke out rolling at 50 mph +- ; what if I got a small play in the pistons?

  • very good

  • Next video. How to install a 20v head on a 2.0L ABA block (better R/L ratio with more displacement) mechanical lifters and for hi-rev engines.......how to get rid of the spring tensioner for a fixed one from the 16v ABA engine.

  • wow. nice "write up" who needs a manual when there are people like you out there lol. mad props.

  • tighten these rods? 500? nm or ft lbs?

  • 50 ft lb

  • Thanks

  • the breakin filter is used for no more than 30 miles...if you feel its a necessity to buy an expensive oil filter for breakin....youre welcome to do that.

  • @jazzpur In my opinion I believe the breakin period is the most crutial point to filter most of the contaminents in order to prevent engine fail. It just seems more logical to use a filter that filters best at this stage than using a lower grade filter but again that's just my opinion.

  • @jazzpur absolutely right!

  • @passatkid lol out of all 5 videos....u complain about an oil filter that is gonna be used for less than 20min...? hi hater

  • @passatkid hi hater

  • @passatkid hi hater

  • Just wondering what your opinion is on getting the small end of the rods fit to the piston pins. The shop I had do some of the machine work for me believed it was a critical step, but it isn't something I've ever done on any other motors that I've built.

Very helpful videos and good for getting the confidence up. Thanks for posting.

  • Interesting video,good job mate!

  • buen trabajo kompa... cuentas con todos los elementos necesarios para hacer una buena reparacion..

  • Hey, what rims and size are you running on the first 30 secs of the video? They look pretty nice.

  • 18" bbs rgr's, black diamond finish

  • Shouldve known they were BBS. How much were they? Like a million dollars? They're always a shiny penny.

    Thanks

  • yo man thanks alot, really helps
