Well when you are shooting with an adapter, with a wide under trees, there isn't much light so you have to sacrifice something. Plus, it was only the very opening that was shot with a slow shutter speed as i had no choice (i think 1/25?)
If it was anything BUT a chase scene, then it would have been drastic but slow shutters add energy to moving things, so it wasn't all bad
Oh ok, I don't think you really even needed the 35mm adapter. Tons of good short films have been made without adapters, and they still look great. Besides, most cheap adapters add unnecessary vignettes to videos, and it can be hard to see clearly.
oh yeah, of course. SGpro i think make one of the best adapters, i just calibrated it wrong so there is a little vignette, plus grading makes it more apparent. I think some shots did need some depth of field but you are right, i could have filmed it without but i just bought it so i had to use it :D
hahahaha, what the hell do you know? You still use the word "n00b". Anyone that knows how to make videos should know that the shutter speed should be double the frame rate. So in this case, you're the real "n00b".
what's the setting?

yikes, way too much motion blur. What was the shutter speed that you used when you recorded this?

Very nice bro. I enjoyed it a lot compared to a lot of other chase shorts. Awesome sound and composition n' whatnot.
Was it annoying to remove the adapter and put it back together for certain shots?
Psyburn 2 years ago 3
Cheers man. As for removing the adapter, i kept it on the whole time so every shot you see was shot through the sgpro.
