For LoL Achievements I think it would be a good idea to have something like, obtain the dragon gold bonus 3 times in one match. It would make things more competitive cause people want the achievement and it'd good for your team

totaly agree if you say you have a crapy pc dont make videos i have the same problem with my pc it's not powerfull enough to record while gameing. And i have orderd a full new pc that each part is carefully chosen for the best performance and qaulty for a decend price. Its needed to make videos. Easy tip don't go out to much stay more home and you'll easly afford a pc in like half a year of waiting ;)
I know what your getting at man, About the professions about time and all you put into it, i feel that when you craft it, for Example (blacksmithing) you should be shaping your sword and if u Do the timing correctly you can get a perfectly crafted blade that has extra bonuses on it.
@SpoliateGaming seperate hard drive is good for fraps though, fraps from another drive other than the one LoL is on can help reduce the lag u get with recording. Best way to speed up rendering get a faster CPU
i used to play wow but when i quitted i had those memories while playing other games and then i bought kotor 1 and 2 those were different from wow so that helped

Can't really agree with the whole SW:ToR = WoW view, yeh the point is obvious, it has things "from" WoW... that being HotKey's but it really isn't like Warcraft. If you want to play a game for story with a lot of friends then play SW:ToR, if you want achievements however then your out of luck... Bioware left those out. :)
The SW:ToR crafting system is nice though. Maybe WoW should try looking at what else is entering the market? :P

They Mechanics haven't really changed at all over the years they have just had other more Complex Mechanics tossed over top of them. The problem with professions is that it is so incredibly easy to reach max level. 'Collecting' (buying) the mats is the most trouble you will meet. Mining/Herbalism 1-525 takes four hours tops.
It's basically just a powergrind up to max level to sell collectibles. There is no real personal benefit or challenge endured. I don't know exactly how to fix it.

I really would hate to have mini games with my proffesions. In fact, I sort of want them removed from wow. As they are now, it's simply a bothersome nuisance with the exception of maybe archeology which can give you fun items,and to a lesser extent fishing. If they were to add more mini games to proffesions and/or add the ability to fail then I would hope that the professions lose necesity for being optimal in pve or pvp, because I wouldn't look forward to cooking mini games.

To be fair and just to point out that I have a level 50 on SW:TOR and love it to bits. SW:TOR is very similiar, they have the old honour system, the fleet layouts are the same as main cities in WoW. Its not so much its copied it, but yeah its just a template that everyone uses because WoW was so damn good when it first came out.
Crendor you put in alot of time into wow, but then they just reset gear and make old titles irrelevant. Each patch resets everything outside of frills like mounts

EVE Online has an excellent professions model.. every ship in teh game, every blueprint, design, high tech weapon system, was made by a player ... I'm really starting to get into EVE online, I think that Blizzard should go ask CCP to pop in for a visit and give them some tips on how to REALLY implement skills and professions...
Really thinking that EVE is where it's at, and it's been going for ages and ages...
For the last question: you should have good enough computer already. Im not sure how good computer you would need to have "22 min video takes 22 mins to render" or less but generally rendering takes longer than actual video is. Not to mention movie maker aint that greatly optimised so I would def try trial of sony vegas or adobe premiere to see are they faster before getting new computer. 3h to youtube is internet problem not computer problem. You dont need new computer you need patience =P
i bet this idea will grow more popular over the next year and then show up in the expansion after pandaria, but it just is dissapointing then they patch it and it sux. Then they redo it in the next patch and they nail it perfectly and then change it the next patch and its slightly easier then thats it...
Honestly crendor, swtor has a lot more to offer than WoW does. The quests are fairly good and are off to a very good start. It had a very successful launch compared to most mmo's when they first come out. The fact that they incorperated amazing stories into an mmo is astonishing. Sure you may have to press hotkeys to do mves but its been like that way before WoW even came out. by saying you "have a character, they gain levels, you get abilities, you grind/quest" doesn't make a game like wow.
@iDwarfz The quests, if you remove story and dialog fluff from the equation, are the same old grindy "kill 10 X" quests (even WoW mixes it up a bit more). The dialog and story element is the only thing that separates TOR from NGE-era Galaxies
And honestly, I was disappointed with the stories. They were standard recent Bioware tripe, and they completely ruined the lore from KotOR II

@SurrealLeaf No, I actually loved KOTOR II. My only complaints were the rushed ending and a few bugs here and there. And I know that it wasn't BioWare that made it. Even if it didn't say on the box or the opening screen, I would recognize Obsidian's work anywhere (if you've played Fallout 2 or Planescape Torment, you'll recognize Chris Avellone's writing anywhere)

A good hard drive and processor will do the most for dropping times, as the processor does video encoding, and hard drives read/write speeds more often than not bottleneck CPU speeds. Most people suggest two hard drives for frapsing - one for fraps and to hold the videos, and one for your games. This lets the computer read consistently from the game hard drive, and write consistently to the Fraps hard drive, and not have to swap reading and writing to the same drive.
@TNTXplosiv Also, as stated by Crendor, internet speed will affect your upload speed to YouTube. There's not really a way around it other than buying faster internet, or using smaller, lower-quality files. (240p, which no one can tell what's going on anymore anyways).
I agree completely as reguards to the WoW queston 2. Even after a couple of weeks of not playing it, I found I really wanted to go back on. The game that could end this and push the genre forward is GW2, so everyone will have to wait until then to see if it "kills WoW". Until then nothing is looking like it will be able to challenge it because nothing else is offering a similar style but one that has been revolutionised.
Crendor, you want "real" professions? The way you described that cooking, it just brings one conclusion to my mind: you are a role player, you just don't know it yourself yet! ^^
Dear friends, there is a way to quit WoW , but it's very , very difficult ... The only way to quit WoW is to find a game even more addictive then WoW , and that's ( at least for me ) LoL , i've been trying to quit WoW for a while and i made it six moths ago, for a price though , i got hooked on LoL , i would have still played WoW if i had the time , but since the school stauffz and all ... anyways , you can quit WoW if you find a game even more addictive , for me it's LoL, it saves alot of time

The only MMO coming out that doesn't seem to use the same template is GW2.
Levels are irrelevant, all abilities and spells are skill shots/targeted and some even compliment each other between classes, there is no gear grind, appearance is all customizable, all classes are viable close-range or long-range (better pvp balance), etc, etc...
Thank god it will be free to play, I do not know if I could handle having to choose between them if they were both subscription based...

My ideas for achievements in LoL would be along the lines of getting penta kills with champions, and then unlocking their pentakill skins like that instead of just buying them. I thought that would be cool. then having certain skins would actually have something to do with skill, instead of just having money. just my ideas though.
I hope with professions that we could make cool things that only the leather working, or alchemist can use. Ok maybe the things they make are account bound but just for you do use. Example alchemist stones. I love the jewel makers animals. But it would be cool if there were more.

I really would hate to have mini games with my proffesions. In fact, I sort of want them removed from wow. As they are now, it's simply a bothersome nuisance with the exception of maybe archeology which can give you fun items,and to a lesser extent fishing. If they were to add more mini games to proffesions and/or add the ability to fail then I would hope that the professions lose necesity for being optimal in pve or pvp, because I wouldn't look forward to cooking mini games.

I wouldn't even mind having like profession specific tabards, that'd be kinda cool. Doesn't really affect the game and it gives that aesthetic feeling. Also, SWTOR is on a MMO template just as WoW... SWTOR isn't like WoW it's like a MMO PERIOD. And I don't get that nostalgic feeling since I played EQ1 & 2 before WoW, so if anything I get EQ nostalgia.
SWTOR =/= WoW
SWTOR = MMO
WoW = MMO

To be fair and just to point out that I have a level 50 on SW:TOR and love it to bits. SW:TOR is very similiar, they have the old honour system, the fleet layouts are the same as main cities in WoW. Its not so much its copied it, but yeah its just a template that everyone uses because WoW was so damn good when it first came out.

EVE Online has an excellent professions model.. every ship in teh game, every blueprint, design, high tech weapon system, was made by a player ... I'm really starting to get into EVE online, I think that Blizzard should go ask CCP to pop in for a visit and give them some tips on how to REALLY implement skills and professions...
Really thinking that EVE is where it's at, and it's been going for ages and ages...

For the last question: you should have good enough computer already. Im not sure how good computer you would need to have "22 min video takes 22 mins to render" or less but generally rendering takes longer than actual video is. Not to mention movie maker aint that greatly optimised so I would def try trial of sony vegas or adobe premiere to see are they faster before getting new computer. 3h to youtube is internet problem not computer problem. You dont need new computer you need patience =P

Honestly crendor, swtor has a lot more to offer than WoW does. The quests are fairly good and are off to a very good start. It had a very successful launch compared to most mmo's when they first come out. The fact that they incorperated amazing stories into an mmo is astonishing. Sure you may have to press hotkeys to do mves but its been like that way before WoW even came out. by saying you "have a character, they gain levels, you get abilities, you grind/quest" doesn't make a game like wow.

@iDwarfz The quests, if you remove story and dialog fluff from the equation, are the same old grindy "kill 10 X" quests (even WoW mixes it up a bit more). The dialog and story element is the only thing that separates TOR from NGE-era Galaxies
And honestly, I was disappointed with the stories. They were standard recent Bioware tripe, and they completely ruined the lore from KotOR II

Sure it has them, but so will all mmos - I doubt even GW2 wont have those. mmos just have to have em. But they are sidequests in TOR..on main class story theres not really "kill 10x stuff" unless its on start areas. Feels theres much more depth to quests. I mean.. Im fine with 10x kill quests, its how they are represented

@SurrealLeaf No, I actually loved KOTOR II. My only complaints were the rushed ending and a few bugs here and there. And I know that it wasn't BioWare that made it. Even if it didn't say on the box or the opening screen, I would recognize Obsidian's work anywhere (if you've played Fallout 2 or Planescape Torment, you'll recognize Chris Avellone's writing anywhere)
What I was saying with that, is that BioWare completely pissed on the lore from KotOR II with SWTOR

1st Question - I would LOVE something like this I think it would give me (and many) the incentive to do proffesions.
2nd - I got this problem too. I left Rift after I got level 47 because Shimmersand reminded me so much of Tanaris I couldn't help going back.

As for the Random Question:
A good hard drive and processor will do the most for dropping times, as the processor does video encoding, and hard drives read/write speeds more often than not bottleneck CPU speeds. Most people suggest two hard drives for frapsing - one for fraps and to hold the videos, and one for your games. This lets the computer read consistently from the game hard drive, and write consistently to the Fraps hard drive, and not have to swap reading and writing to the same drive.

I agree completely as reguards to the WoW queston 2. Even after a couple of weeks of not playing it, I found I really wanted to go back on. The game that could end this and push the genre forward is GW2, so everyone will have to wait until then to see if it "kills WoW". Until then nothing is looking like it will be able to challenge it because nothing else is offering a similar style but one that has been revolutionised.

Dear friends, there is a way to quit WoW , but it's very , very difficult ... The only way to quit WoW is to find a game even more addictive then WoW , and that's ( at least for me ) LoL , i've been trying to quit WoW for a while and i made it six moths ago, for a price though , i got hooked on LoL , i would have still played WoW if i had the time , but since the school stauffz and all ... anyways , you can quit WoW if you find a game even more addictive , for me it's LoL, it saves alot of time

The only MMO coming out that doesn't seem to use the same template is GW2.
Levels are irrelevant, all abilities and spells are skill shots/targeted and some even compliment each other between classes, there is no gear grind, appearance is all customizable, all classes are viable close-range or long-range (better pvp balance), etc, etc...
Thank god it will be free to play, I do not know if I could handle having to choose between them if they were both subscription based...

My ideas for achievements in LoL would be along the lines of getting penta kills with champions, and then unlocking their pentakill skins like that instead of just buying them. I thought that would be cool. then having certain skins would actually have something to do with skill, instead of just having money. just my ideas though.

I hope with professions that we could make cool things that only the leather working, or alchemist can use. Ok maybe the things they make are account bound but just for you do use. Example alchemist stones. I love the jewel makers animals. But it would be cool if there were more.
