We must all remember this piece was not actually written for flute or even oboe.... as the transcriptions announce. It was originally written for tenor/treble recorders, you really hear the nuances of the different fantasies on recorders more so than on modern instruments I believe.
Sometimes philology can be an obstacle and geniuses can ignore it. Sometimes it's just right to let the music itself suggest sound, articulation and so on, but only the best scholars can break the rules convincingly and without shame (and they get criticisms all the same). I mean people like Jean Guillou on organ, or Andres Segovia on guitar.
Of course the low D. Only oboist can understand difficulties of these pieces. Firatable written for flute. Of course it is better with baroque oboe but is nice to play these compendium of happiness
brilliant

I like how this recording has the sheet music so people can follow exactly what's going on.

Just about jumped out of my chair with the strident sound.
Vibrato sounds like a Hammond B3 organ. Not my cup
of tea with this piece, thanks.

An interesting piece by Telemann, one instrument alone but sounds great!

i think he sound is unique, and makes the oboe an exotic instrument. I think he has a nice tone.

Awesome love the way he played it, it's just a shame that his sound is un-sweet... i like his technic and his music but his sound, not that much :(
