Good Tutorial Man, i Use cool edit pro 2.11 for mxin now cause its easy to use, but am download adobe audition 3.0 too and learn how to mix, but thats it?? i mean, only 3 effects for mixin rap vocals, and the mix its done? am just askin, cause somebody puts lotta effects when they mix vocals.

@dwgreatest I get what you mean, you'd be surprised who's mixing your favorite rap song, or the opposite on your favorite teen pop song. I just enjoy working on good music, no matter what the genre. I grew up listening to the Temptations and the 4 Tops with my Dad in Detroit......as guess it's got something to say about influence right?

Sorry man but I've been recording rap vocals for a long time and my advice is not the effects you should be concerned about, its soundproofing a booth. Maybe a little bit of quick delays so it can trail the vocals but not enough where you can hear it unless you stop the track while your playing it and you can hear the delays trail off a bit. But compression and a "colorless" recording is best for Rap songs

Can you please let me know, why when you open your tracks so wide, it continues to play the entire track? Mine stops at the extent of the screen, if you understand what I mean. It basically plays what I can view.

These tutorials are a great help. Can you put up a tutorial explaining how to take air out of a mixdown wav, for mastering? Also, im not sure which EFX is making my vocals like this, but how do I tune down the sharpness? Certain words or sylabols, such as "S" sound too sharp at times. Thanks again.

How did you get the FX and other button at the top of you 'Main' tab in AA?

It sounds better finished as MP3 and I'll let YAHmil post that up. You're just hearing the track through my mic a Rode NT1-A so it sounds a bit muddy. Basiclly just trying to help some folks out with ways to blend or widen vocals in Rap or R&B. Appreciate your feedback.

@ChefRski processing rap is easy, EQ>COMPRESSION>REVERB then do some panning and your good to go.
