core 2 quads are actually core 2 duos that are bridged together... core 2 quads are a poor excuse for a quad... they are inefficient and use a much older 775 socket which will soon fall... if you want a core 2 quad than in my opinion go with AMD and get a Phenom 2 x4 965 its cheaper and its a TRUE quad
