I love the concept of recreating chic outfits at an inexpensive price point. Unfortunately I think this wasn't very successful at accomplishing that goal. EVERY discount store has a generic white tank top, basic black skirt, typical black ankle boots, etc. There isn't a person alive who couldn't easily recreate that outfit (and probably for less than $100!). Many girls can pull those items out of their closet without shopping. Try challenging yourself to recreate a more unique outfit next time.

I'm a budget shopper and I'd hit up a TJMaxx or Marshalls before even a Walmart or Kmart... at TJMaxx you'd definitely get that tank for like $5.00-$7.00, shoes $10.00-$15.00, and I bought beautiful button up blazer for $19.99 last winter at TJMaxx, and Charlotte Russe has necklaces for like, 3 for $15.00...

Well I feel like I see this outfit done again and again. I was not "wowed" I know its expensive than i would ever buy, because I hit those clearance racks and find greater stuff for 100 dollars. Im sure she can go and find a bunch of cute clothes on clearance for way cheaper, but I think shed have to buy full price items for them to actually be availabe for her fans to go get, and them still be available. but then again its a good concept of a show.

full disclosure, kmart has AMAZING ribbed tanks and crew neck solid tees (the route 66 brand for both). you can wear their white ribbed tanks with just abput any color bra b/c they aren't super thin. god. LOVE them.

I think the best deal here is that skirt! If a girl has a Grand Staircase and spends $100 on a "budget" outfit, she's still ballin' out. I'm sure girl has a white shirt at home (save yourself 8.99 - Kmart shirt will not be formfitting anyway!) If I'm styling on a budget-- hit F21 & TJMaxx- and you can def. pull off under $100-- center your outfit on one piece you already own! Forever's necklaces are AWESOME and sub $10. I agree AwesomeStuff36, that a $16.99 Kmart necklace isn't a good buy!
