  • write times are no more problems (it wasn't a problem at all with SLC based drives anyway) in MLC based drives. they are getting cheaper, too. 2 years and no more mechanical drives in laptops and pc's as operating system drive. for storage however, nechanical disks are much better due to $/MB ratio.

  • only dif is that no moving parts and faster

    works off of magnets

    so now we can make more duribale laptops

    becuase we can drop them wile on and the ssd wont brek due to no moving parts

  • you also forgot to mention its currently way more expensive and write times are very slow compared to a standard HDD

  • there seems to be very little if any physical difference. would it be possible to replace any laptop 2.5" hard drive with a solid state drive?
