WOW I haven't seen this scene in years. I was 10 when this aired. I was sad when Kim Zimmer left the show in 1990, but I quickly got over it and became hooked on Roger Thorpe! The show became an essembled piece full of key characters that carried the show after she left, but brushed aside once she returned from the dead five years later.
In the story Reva had post-postpartum depression, leading her to drive off the bridge into the drink. The story was intended to accommodate Kim Zimmer's exit from the program. Reva's body wasn't found, leaving the door open for Reva's return 5 years later.
Wow. What a blast from the past! I just watched the final episode, and realized just how much history there truly is with Josh and Reva. One correction, however...the waters down in the Keys are pristine, and not murky.
I vividly remember this episode from when I was 4 yrs old. I'm dead serious!!! I remember watching this with my babysitter and I asked her if Reva was still alive after she ran off the bridge and she said no. I havent seen this one since then!!
Good stuff!

It's a mystery to me why anyone would waste their time watching soaps. Bad acting, bad writing; what a combo.

Great video clip. Reva's exit from Guiding Light was very dramatic.

Why did Reva drive off the bridge? Was she going crazy? because it seems like she thought she was driving for Josh, but she wasn't.
