We try to simplify, well least my wife does, me being the male of the species tend to collect treasures err clutter a lil' bit , hehehe... it is much easier to keep clean and upkeep, just routine and one doesn't even realize it which is good. Thanks for commenting.
Good work. You came up with a solution and gott'er done. Same idea could be done in a shipping container or other hidden space if things get even rougher. One of my Survival motos is - Adapt, Modify, Make do with what you have or do without, If all else fails, CHANGE THE RULES OF THE GAME. Sure helps to have a supportive partner.
Thanks, got 'er done brother, hehehe.... shipping container, underground bunker,, "cabin" built in on side of a hill, possibilities are endless... I watch a lot of DIY shows when TLC, H&G, and rest of them shows weren't about reality, boring useless crap and got lot of ideas from there, the decorating my wife does a better job than I do... like your philosophy on rules of the game, close to mine... what's the use of being married/partner if you don't support each other...
What's the saying, necessity being the mother of all inventions, yup! Learned how to fix my own car on the side of the road simply because only had enough money for another tank fill and extra for a used repair manual. Had to make do and come up with different ways to use tools/gear that were intended for single purpose. Experience is what provided the necessary skills to adapt and improvise on my predicament. Glad you folks watched and enjoyed the video.
BEAUTIFUL job on the conversion!!! I'm just curious, how were you able to keep your garage? Was is separate property from your house? I admire your hard work & determination & positive attitude! You Rock!
should have pointed out thought most of the physical work was done by myself, doubt could have found the strength to finish if it wasn't for my lovely wife's support. Plus she laid down the majority of the floor tile. Would you believe is peel and stick, stone-like texture and finish. My idea to grout it and no one is able to tell the difference. Overall I'm a positive type and try to surround myself with like minded folks, can't stand negative and whining people. ;)~
@practicalprepper001 That's wonderful that you & your wife have one another's support..together, you both can weather any storm! I never would have thought that was peel & stick..& very cool idea to use real grout w/ it..most people are too scared to try to be inventive & creative diy-er's.
after being divorced and free for over 3 years now, i can honestly say I do not miss my house one bit. Id rather have a trailer like yours if i ever settle down again.
Nice work on the converion. So much less to keep-up.

we wouldn't mind living on the trailer either.... fact it was probably more comfortable than the house...
