  • HAHA in the tests for the new heavy duty trucks they had too lower the weight on their pull tests because dodge couldn't tow as much as ford and chevy

  • Goes too show inline power is the best. When it comes too torque. Remember truck people Torque gets you going HP keeps you going. when pulling, torque coming in a lower range is more efficient coming in at 1500 RPM than at 3000 RPM!!!!!

  • BBUUUUUZZZZ wrong again, in 04 they might be but 07 it isn't we have 3 2007 650 pumpers that had a choice of cat or cummin's for motors and we have an 08 on order still only the cummin's or cat available. Again don't know in 04 what it was but now no stroken for the 650/750....n ya I know weak.

    Only wish Dodge would have dealt on price I would rather have the dodge truck but the things sell themselves. Sucks if you want a good deal on one though.

  • the 5.9 cummins were hardly ever put in f-650/750 it was mostly the 7.2l i-6 used. the reason why is because spicer had a tranny already designed for those. and ford does not use cummins any more they use cat engines.

  • Ntxic the reason is that the V8 can't deliver the linearl torque that the in lines motors can. Much better for heaver work. Both the Cat and the cummin's are awesome motors but the cat we have is costing more money to keep running then the cummin's. I thought it would be the other way around but I was wrong.

  • Cummins lick donkey dong. Anyone who has owned both a Powerstroke and a Cummins will always go back to the Powerstorke. I used to be a Cummins guys all the way until I owned my first Powerstroke. Never going back. Cummins are weak, archaic and their powerband sucks. Can't touch a PS. End of story.

  • Not quite. The 2007 Ford F-150 has 2 more cylendars and 1 more turbo than the 2007 Dodge Ram and the Dodge Ram is still 80 hp stronger than the F-150.

  • Well it pisses me off that people run there mouths about Fords and they dont know the rating available on them, and if Fords are so bad how come we have won best selling pickup for 30 years? and our F-250's out sell the Duramax and the Cummins combined together, and yes the F-350 is better for hauling but for what i need the 250 will do just fine

  • Builtfordtough you might want to recheck your numbers the cummin's 6.7 is 350hp 650t too. I thought is was 325 but diesel digest did a wright up on it and the numbers are the same. Just for FYI they push the power stroke too so you don't think they are just pushing the cummin's.

  • The cummins with its traditional design and old style reliable cylinder head can push torque and HP values twice as high as any PS or Dmax can.

  • When you do a pull like that you can cheat and put weight in the back to prevent wheel hop.

  • 7.3L were great engines with a good power band and the HUEI injectors though pricey offered tremendous power

"When production of the new 6.4L engine began for the new trucks, Ford held back money from their payments to International to cover those warranty costs of the problematic 6.0L version. In response, International suspended engine production this week. Now Ford has started cutting production of the trucks, starting March 1, with daily shifts going from three to one on March 5. Ford has major problems right now.

  • stupid, that proves nothing considering the ford wasn't weighed down like the dodge and the ford didn't use or have 4x4...also it's hard to tell but the difference in the height of where you attach the tow rope can give a big advantage, doesn't matter if it was a semi against a one of those trucks the semi would never win if you could lift it's drive tires off the ground.
