Are people seriously having a U.S. elitist attitude. Please guys loose this delusional mindset and get real! No need to bash wealthy countries. We need to accept reality and focus on getting our wealth back.
UAE government should give proper wage to their laborers..their only focus is beautify their country to become famous...not considering the blood and sweat of their workers..thats what i've observed when i was there,i remember an emarati who just kicked a lad with no reasons..how rude..discrimination is in their atmosphere, seeing someone suffers is their attitude..May Allah (swt) will forgive those arabs..
whats the point living like there when you get party and get drunk and look at hot women? Sorry I;d stick to my super lifestyle in cayman Island 100x times better yeah and no tax so I save over $700k a year trading with a beach view :o)
According to a Daily Mail article some Englishman bought a property there five years ago for about 500k PDS. One year later he claimed to have received an offer for over 1m but rejected it because he wants to keep living there. A similar property built in Kensington, Knightsbridge or Belgravia would possibly set you back a cool 10m. One thing that's for sure though, you won't have to worry about some riff-raff neighbourhood. Oh yeah, this is considered upper middle class in Dubai.
those houses are beatiful but iwouldnt like it 2b dat close to other house's n plus its wayy way to closed 2 d beach uhm scary not my type of dream home,in my opinion.
but i thought its proven now that water levels are riseing lol 10 years and that will be under water, who ever buys thats will end up with a property that you can sail toy boats through lol, also i heard that they had problems with the sand that it kept slowly washing away so they had to find a idea on how to stop it from happening, but what can also creep under sand
@Tempus81 WOW HAHAHAHAHAH i like your maths but the thing is my lego headed friend is that on their first year they found out that sand was slowly getting pulled away by the tides and that was 2inchs in every month soooooo how about you times 10 years with your 2mm and then add how many months are in a year then times that and see what you come up with :)
maybe you should shut your mouth before jumping up with a smart ass answer, their still haveing problems with it now
my dad built a house in dubai for nele 3 million but theres a rule where we can only keep it for a period of time and the king would buy it off us how gay
They are wasting their oil moneys. Instead of putting it on education and similar things (the important things) they build fake island and other nonsense...
In few decades places like this will be ruled by the talibs or other jihadists.

"Oil has been good to us"? In fact, Dubai sells very little oil, because it doesn't have much. Everything you see in Dubai is financed with huge loans. It's a bubble that's almost as big as the Chinese real estate bubble. You'd be insane to invest there.
I think America is no longer the number one power, countries like China, India, Brazil, UAE and Mexico are moving slowly to the super powers of the modern era, as their technology, architecture, dynamics and economics are growing and outpacing the US concept.
@mentallyexplosive yes we knw,you r mentally disturbed, stop being jealous,MUSLIMS RULE,you must b a white boy living in COUNCIL HOUSE n CLAIMING JOB SEEKERS.leave my muslim brothers alone, only muslims COULD AFFORD,unlike white men,get it on mortgage
@ khusrumya haha then why don't your muslim brothers buy you one of those beautiful mansions? matter fact without oil your "muslim brothers" are nothing. Oil will be obsolete in 15-30 years, where will they get their money then? It's not like they are smart, I don't see inventions and corporations being started from there, and they make up a small portion of the world. Take ur shit talking elsewhere.
@daibadrumu LOL I know right...Someone needs a history lesson..Atleast the people in Dubai got paid to build these houses whether it was big or small....
@renegado454 LOL! The underclass in Dubai IS essentially an imported slave workforce. They come from places like India,Phillipines, Bangladesh, etc. In America, Illegals get free freakin education and welfare. Meanwhile in Dubai the underclass lives in slums.
@zwdog1122 I've been to Dubai 7 times plus I do private contract work in Afghanistan and see the work force that some of the contracting companies bring here....These guys live in the worst conditions here in Afghanistan as well while most Americans, British, Aussies etc live in the best housing compounds here. The point of my previous comment was that even though the guys that work in Dubai live in slums etc, they made the choice to go there, African slaves years ago were forced to America.
@zwdog1122 And where does our poor live big dog? Our inner city slums makes theirs look like paradise..... Do not kid your self, we are in shambles! If you do not focus on fixing our problems, instead of blindly defending it, we are hopless!
There aint no slave labor, there workers who built the houses, like the rest of the world, simple as that, the US is the real toilet with immigrants busting there asses for chump change.
my dad is the achetecters for alot of them we are really ricvh because of it lol jk i want to be an achrctic when im older:)im good at it and love it and love the money
It has however imploded, there is simply far too much supply and no demand any more. Housing prices have plummeted, and it is difficult to know exactly by how much, because literally nobody is buying.
Behind the bullshit pumped out by the local authorities, you will find a place with no culture, run by an authoritarian government and filled with tacky villas nobody wants (with more on the way!)
Tacky is an understatement. Cheap Italian porno look is the word.
Just look at the illiterate comments here by the locals, notable laxplayabb99. Drooling uneducated barbarians who just happen to sit on lots of oil.
Kuwait is no different. Reams of half finished housing projects, mile upon mile of tacky shopping malls selling fake watches, perfume, and other hyper inflated western goods. to the local idiocracy. Meanwhile untreated sewage pours into the Gulf at 100,000 cubic metres a day.
It's simply a shame. Their despicable lack of human rights don't deserve to be hidden behind the engineers and architects they've afforded to bribe. Any decent human being would be ashamed to say they've been there.
Due to the melting ice caps, all cities, towns and villages within 2 miles of a beach will be under water -all over the world. Denmark is already building floating houses to replace regular homes.
with regard to 'slaves' constructing the houses - the people that built these houses have come from third world countries, where they have no money or work. it is there choice to come to dubai to earn money and return to their own countries to provide for their families. they recieve more money working here than they will ever recieve in their home country.
To answer some quetsions about the palm - if sea levels rise, most countries around the world will be flooded before the houses on the palm will ever be flooded. the houses are built at least 10ft above the beach level. Earthquakes will not occur here as dubai is not on a fault line. there is plenty of space around theses houses along with at least 5000 sqft of internal floor space.
