  • a 7 year old PJ..d'awwwwwww

  • There are 923 exceptions to I after E except after C, if we were to believe QI, which I believe we should.

  • i before e except after c when the dipthong rymes with key :D thst how we learnt it :)

  • EYES....

  • Loved it! Your eyes are absolutely beautiful in this video, btw

  • Wow PJ, your eyes are so. So. So. Hot. Just, wow. :O xx

  • your eyes;o!

  • I before E except after C and in ending that sound like Y, This is what i learned.

  • I never get it wrong ;)

  • i think you should be my teacher, lessons would be so much better!

  • they're not allowed to teach this in schools any more because there are more exceptions than words where it actually works...

    yeah, i watch QI :)

  • @flippa400 Damn my English teacher! QI's awesome ^__^

PJ, your eyes are so gorgeous :3

  • that pisses me off too.

  • Holy hell... Your eyes are incredibly green...

  • did anyone else just look at his amazing eyes throughout the whole video? :3

  • My teachers would say snowflakes are unique and there are no two alike but they just found a snowflake that is exactly identical to one found in 1983. Huh I stupid teachers.

  • I wanna have these eyes. •____•

  • Your eyes are so pretty. Just putting that out there...

  • I hated that in little school, teachers would say it's impossible to spell a word without the 5 vowels a, e, I, o, or u. And I would say 'my' and they would be like well y is a vowel in those cases. I'm sitting there like wtf, it wasn't on your damn list and if it's not a vowel sometimes, it shouldn't ever be a vowel. -:$

  • Teachers are cruel. It's a fact.

PJ, you should know this by now.

  • Protein. Nuff said.

  • I recite this over and over in my head during my english lit lessons. I think I know it word to word.

  • Your accent reminds me of Tom Milsom's.

  • I want your eyes

  • It is an outrage

  • WOAW,you could be a chemistry teacher because i sit in class sometimes and they talk exactly like that, SIR YOU HAVE A TALENT.

  • LOL u said that awfully fast :) xx but its true that totally confuzzled me :)

  • I feel your pain.

  • I no right.

    It's well wierd.

    x

  • that rhyme is now the exception not the rule there are more that aren't than are soo chahah QI WOOO

  • Weird is also an exception. I've been spelling it wrong for years.

  • eyes.

  • Ooooooh I just realized you have green eyes. They're gorgeous. There are so few of them left *sigh* they really are juts lovely... :)

  • :)

  • ..except when sounding as "a," as in neighbor and weigh

  • your eyes are lovely :]

  • and in german "when E and I go walking, the second one does the talking." For example, in the word "ein", one would pronounce the "i". While in the word "vier", one would pronounce the "e"......ah, language :)

  • I noticed that. The way "Their" is spelt really upsets me.

  • GOD! man u have got seriously yellow teeth! haha

  • I don't know whether it was your british accent...or a combination of that with talking really fast but I really didnt understand much lol :D

....can you put subtitles next time :P? just asking

  • There are exceptions to every rule. =:)

  • There are actually three times more exceptions to the rule than there are cases where it can be applied. It's one of those stupid things that occurred and stuck.

  • You're ridiculously attractive. Can you make some clones and send me one?

  • this reminds me of a Frezned video

  • hey im an asian and i can't hear a word of what you say! can you give me the english subtitles please?

  • I before E except after c and when sounding like AY as in neighbor or weigh. You're welcome.

  • @GONEmypurpleflapjack neighbour, it has a U in it. :) sorry couldn't help it :L

  • @deathbyjellybabies I'm American, and we don't need U's or Jelly babies!(unless you count Amy Pond'"s baby.) ;;;)))

  • @GONEmypurpleflapjack I know lol, you dont put a u in colour either! doctor who FTW :D

  • Grrr i have this problem all the time.

On a lighter, weirder note, the colour of your eyes is stunning

  • I before E except after C or when sound like A as in neighbor and weigh.

    Unless it's weird.

  • @msbreshine weird, height, their, or either o.0

  • @msbreshine and on weekends and holidays and all throughout May, and you'll always be wrong no matter what you say!

  • We learned it as "I before E except after C, when the sound is 'ee'."

  • @ayshafr hey.

  • theres a second part to the rhyme

  • @NBinder114 yeah and no one decided to tell me that until last year, i'm graduating in two days and they just told me a year ago, well, now i see why my grades in english have been so low

  • you talk so fast! it's lovely

  • You have such beautiful eyes! I envy them!

  • Ah spelling. So annoying, makes you want to stab it sometimes. Or, well maybe not. That's just how I feel.

  • theres 923 exceptions to the "i before e except after c" rule

    just sayin

  • looooook at ur eyes soooooooooo pretty

  • I before E except after C and sounding like A like "neighbor" and "weigh"

that's the rhyme i was taught.

  • I before E except after C and sounding like A like "neighbor" and "weigh"

that's the rhyme i was taught.

  • The english language is one of the most ridiculous out there with it's inconsistent rules.

  • I before E except after C or when it sounds like A :)

thats the one that i learned when i was younger .

  • Financial? Is that spelled with an e in the UK?

  • i really respect you. you answer so many of your comments! its really cool! most youtubers just ignore there comments or don't answer many but you answer loads. good on you. and i'm thankful that there are people like you on youtube! =) x

  • I feel like when you speak that i wasn't taught english properly...

You speak so fast. It's blowing my mind.

  • I caught like... half of those words...

  • According to an episode of QI I before E except after C is apparently not taught in schools anymore because it has been shown that the rule is wrong moreoften than it's right

  • damn i didn't understand half of what you said, but that's okay. I think because i commmented, i should be your soulmate? doesn't that make perfect sense?!

  • will you marry me? hahaha

  • *your

  • You're eyes are brilliant.

  • You would be perfect absolutely perfect... if you didn't have jacked up teeth

  • @TangledUmbrellas Wow, could you BE any ruder?

  • @TangledUmbrellas And you would be perfect... if you weren't so shallow and judgmental. Actually, you probably wouldn't be perfect anyways.

  • I before E except after C and in words like neighbor and weigh.

  • After I watched this I was like "You won't have to re-write it just use find and replace in Word." Then I realised.. "write" not "type".

Wow, how technology has changed us.

  • i totally get where you're coming from, except i've been aware of the exception for quite some time. my name is heidi.

  • Just more weird words weighing down on the weir of spell-helps.

    : /

  • It's only when it makes an ee sound so science, neighbour, weight, ancient, etc... don't count in the rule.

  • This is like,

There's no such thing as subtraction!

    Your just adding negative numbers!

  • What about weird...

  • you're hilarious :')

  • I before E, except after C and when sounding in A as in neighing and weigh. Yeah, it's crazy.

  • haha yeahh, when I found out it was sometimes I almost lost my head! I was like WTF?!??!?

But PJ, can you do me a HUGE favor that would TOTALLLYYY make my dayy?!

Check out my channel? And maybe just leave a little comment?! (:

*looks at you with puppy dog eyes* It would mean the world to me (:

  • The I before E except after C rhyme is a bit longer but no one remembers it.

But yeah, the English language is crazy.

  • I hate when people tell me that rule. Another brilliant video PJ!

  • and this is y im insanelybad at spelling :(

  • I got confused as well :/ I don't see why they teach us that ryhme (spelling?) then say oh no! it has a few exceptions ':/ they may as well not say I before e except after c, because as we all know now it is in fact, not true. Oh what liars they are :/

    Anyway . . .

    I like your videos :)

I like your voice lol jk I'm also English :)

    I find you entertaining :)

And you look a bit tired in this video :)

    Hahahahahahahahahahahaha :) :) :)

  • the world needs more people like you.

  • i <3 your eyes.

haha i was just lookin' at them the whole time hah

  • neighbours

  • and weird.

    weird is just... weird...

  • I love that you have a list of words where it doesn't work.

Gotta admit when I figured this out I was bummed.

  • Im not sure if that was a joke or what not! im american soo yeah. I couldnt help but watch ur eyes so i didnt really hear u either.

  • PJ ur awesome, but im american and i dont understand that rule. or is it a joke, im not sure!

  • @mewdon101 That's a real rule...ha. I heard it growing up and I'm American? It's for spelling words.

  • i love how fast you talk! <3333333333

  • if you're "youtube famous", how do you get the chance to meet new people?

Like, what if you get so flooded with cmts from girls that love you SO MUCH, that you'll never get the opportunity to meet someone that might be your soulmate, or the person that will understand you better than ANYONE? I'm just curious... Because I'd hate for people to enjoy my videos that much, just b/c I don't want to miss the chance that i might meet that someone. Bet you cant reply to this for that reason.

  • @kaceyhasaface That's a silly thing to say. I meet new people all the time. Are you saying that a single person commenting my video is my soul mate? I don't think I would ever consider going out with someone purely because they commented my video.

  • @PJTheKick I suppose that isn't what I'm saying exactly. But I just think that it would narrow your chances of meeting a really interesting person if you can't reply to most of them. Not necessarily a soul mate, but a really good friend or something. I dunno what I'm trying to say.

  • @kaceyhasaface I think I get what you mean, but what makes you assume that? I have met interesting people through Youtube before. Just last night I went to the cinema with a girl I've met off youtube. I still read all the comments I get and reply to them.

  • @PJTheKick

Girl you met off Youtube? GIRL YOU MET OFF YOUTUBEE!!!

  • @PJTheKick So I came a little late to this conversation butt @kaseyhasaface that indeed is a silly thing to say, so if you're NOT 'youtube famous' you basically meet no one right? 'cause you're not even exposed to them or have the chance to reply to them...

    No friends for me.

  • @kaceyhasaface Well, I'm judging by how most other youtube people act. I assumed the worst, and I apologize... It's really great that you go through the effort to do that. Hahaha. I bet you don't have much else to do anyway. :b Isn't it difficult to read all of them though?

  • i like the story, i think you shuold write a song about the omniscient glacier somethingorother =]

  • i watch this vid 5 times now and i have no idea what he's talking about! i just watch your eyes! they're incredible

  • Your eyes are crazy green.

    And you talk too fast.

    lol

  • lol thats awesome

  • ...except when sounding like 'ayy' as in neighbor and weigh... :D

you have pretty eyes...but i guess a bunch of people already said that...

    ...elipsis...

  • recieve?

  • Wow you have gorgeous eyes! (: I subcribed!

  • your eyes are very expressive. and they look ill.

  • I never get that right but ur awesome! lol. I love ur videos(:

  • Oh my, PLEASE continue to watch my videos!

  • @PJTheKick AW, that's a cute reply, I think your voice is cute, i wish i had an acent..

  • @PJTheKick The sound of your voice makes me want to hug you :D

  • if the sound of his voice makes u want to kill urself, than why did u watch it?.......

  • @genesisproject

ahahah!!!! you such a loser! if you sont like it... then why watch the videos???!

this dude is amzing at making youtube videos! i wish i was as talented as himm!!!

    :)

  • @genesisproject WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!!!!

    PJ has a lovely voice.

  • @genesisproject I honsetly don't understand how someone could say that. First of all, it's not really something you say, now is it? Second of all.. if his voice makes you want to kill yourself, and you're obviously listening to it, then wouldn't that make you suicidal? So why the hell would you just randomly announce your mental issues on youtube for the whole world to see? Who is that going to help? Why do you feel the need to put it out on this guy, who's making completely innocent videos?

  • @genesisproject wow dude. you are trully an ass aren't you?? PJ has a really good thing going for him and you want to go trying to mess that up for him?? if the sound of his voice makes you want to kill yourself, do the world a favor and do it already! stop going on ALL of his videos and posting hateful things about him. he's an amazing vloger and his videos are great. so shut the hell up, and back the eff up already! yeesh.

  • haha mahn i always get the I and E mixed up :(

  • ..Whenever it rhymes with 'me'

  • i loooooooooooooooove your eyes

  • I'm English and I got taught 'i' before 'e' except after 'c' but only when it rhymes with 'b' which works..I think :)

  • Well, your first problem is that you're not quoting the entire poem correctly.

    The full poem goes:

I before 'E' except after 'C'... or in sounding like 'A' as in neighbor or weight.

Then again, I am an American, so we spell things differently, but I believe the poem still applies to UK English.

  • @BrownMallard Still, words like glacier are not pronounced like A. Except at the A, but we're talking about the other two vowels.

  • @Ayshafr" I" before Except after "C", and except when sounding an "A" which is a neighbor in way, and on weekends and holidays and all throughout may, AND YOU'LL ALWAYS BE WRONG NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY!!!!!!!!!!!! lol jk I just had to do it.

  • @StephanieSpardaXD Haha I was confused for a moment there.

  • @Ayshafr oops forgot "e"...

  • YOUR EYES ARE DAMN PRETTY

  • SO TRUE, Teachers seriously hate kids sometimes lools :) I Love your eyes btw x

  • Ow god :)

If English isn't your first language, it is hell to understand a couple of parts of what you're saying! =D

I re-watched it and still don't get it all! Ghaha :)

    x.

  • m2!

    lol

  • hate those rules and rymes too... i wished they'd told me what rymes with SPELLCKECK!! haha

  • But I randomly love glaciers so i'll get over it

  • I love the english language but they mess us up with "exceptions". soo many exceptions!

  • his eyes r pretty

  • If it rhymes with B, it's I before E, except after C ;D

  • I was always told "I before E except after C when the sound you're concerned with is E"

  • Wow! What beautiful eyes...I didn;t even hear what you said

  • i know right..same thing happened to me :p i had to watch the video again lol :D

  • @reignofsparks42 agreement!!

whole time *wow, those are some gorgeous green eyes, look at them. aww where did they go, O there they are, man, they are gorgeous. oh, the vid ended.....what was it about again?*

  • @reignofsparks42 My thoughts Exactly

  • I didn't know there were exceptions. What camera do you use?! The quality is amazing

  • @Laurbubble Hey Laura, yeahh there are exceptions! It's a sony hdr sr12e. This isn't actually it's highest quality because I exported it from imovie instead of final cut!

  • ooo thank you, I'm always curious about these cameras because I have no idea myself about whats good!

  • your eyes :O ♥

  • @xHannahJade I KNOW !!

  • this occurred to me when i first learnt the rule. i told my grade two teacher and she sent me outside to get more paint for the class. stupid bitch.

  • Hahah, i used "I before E except after C and words that rhyme with Sleigh or Neigh.

I thought about it a month ago in school, and I almost mispelled 'weird'.

    D<

  • lol

    This was brilliant :3

  • i love this so much i watched it again!

  • hahaha this hits home.

  • i have never been able to spell when i learned that rhyme and then tried to spell science ,sceince like the rhyme they said it was wrong. thats like sounding it out. that never helpss! hello silent letters!

  • I before E except after C--- And when sounding like "AE" as in "neighbor" and "weigh"

As in "my neighbor weighed a piece of my friends pie, which was weird." Oh wait....

  • haha, clever.

  • omg your eyes are so pretty and green :)

  • That was a ridiculous maze of words+ accent.

I had to watch it twice, lol.

  • damn i get lost in your eyes lol

  • You have the prettiest eyes.

  • SCISSORS

  • you have gorgeous eyes!!

  • your eyes shall die (=

    i before e .. SOMETIMES

    THANKS A LOT TEACHERS ! jesus ..

bloody hell you talk fast haha =D

  • I just cant spell :D

    I After E is how i roll :P

  • I before E sometimes...would that mean you would spell "sometimes" like "somitemes" WTF. F.M.L.

  • i just like starting "using" that rule recently. and when i came across the word "receipt" i got really pissed off.

    hahahaha :)
