oh so you switched from cubase to ableton? when/why? I have used Ableton as well but I don't REALLY like how it handles external instruments (hard to export). The only thing I like about it is the session view where you can play any combination of parts to quickly try things, that's kickass.
I've got a question, I have a Virus TI and tried TheGirlNextDoor's electro soundset. Honestly unless it's me, that set sucks, way too loud sounds and not at all sharp and gritty.
So my question regarding the TI is if you have tips regarding soundsets, or if I should keep using the TI for trance (which it does great!) and get another synth for the minimalistic, raw electro house basses?
I'm open for buying a new hardware synth OR software synth, and actually I'm in the market for some new RACK synth so that'd be great too. I can't get those really raw and gritty basses on the TI.
By the way I don't mean the bass from this video, I post here since it's your latest.
Perfect example of what I mean: "THE MOST STUP*D LOOP EVER - MUST SEE!!!", that's the Virus in a nutshell, it's so damn soft all the time, the grit isn't there, it's "sterile" (a common complaint about it actually). A friend sold his because it wasn't gritty enough. I'm not prepared to do that yet, first I'd like to hear from you if you've managed to make it growl. If TheGirlNextDoor tries his/her best to make electro house patches and fails, I don't have much hope left in the TI for that. ;-)

drums have been recorded in advance... i used traditional battery and impulse in ableton live...
