I have the same way of thinking. It's sad how people steal and damage peoples stuff... Thieves are low lifes. This is why I love Japan and the Japanese people. Can't wait to go there this summer!
Please get your facts straight on Appalachian crime rates BEFORE you post and make yourself look dumb. There IS rampant poverty in RURAL Appalachia, but no higher crime rate than anywhere else. Yes poverty produces crime (imagine that), but i would suspect that crime rates are worse in urban or metropolitan areas, as opposed to extremely rural areas.
@bumby999 Yeah, I was going off someone else's research, to be honest. I'm still looking into it, and would be happy to be wrong! Have to go with the (most credible data) yeah? Sorry to add to the ignorance already rampant on this comment section.
Still trying to track done the person who gave me the original data in class; he'd been reliable up to that point, hence my reliance. Guh.
Where I live everyone locks their bikes and even put wheel locks on scooters. I guess around here bicycle theft isn't unheard of. One of my coworkers said her son's bike got stolen recently.
@orz4567891 yes, thats true. I heard of bikes getting stolen but compared to the US where people steal the bike seat and all that. Its nothing in Japan. I also rarely hear about house burglaries. A friend of mine left a backpack full of cash, passports, his credit card and a ton of other stuff on the shinkansen and he left the train and they called the lost and found and the bag was retrieved. Nothing stolen even after the bag was sitting there next to noone for hours!
I used to happily leave my Nikon D300, ipod, phone, etc on the table at restaurants while I went to the toilet or got drink or whatever. No worries at all. But, I'd never leave my umbrella in those racks outside a store because it would be nicked 50% of the time.
It's not just Japan. We were on a vacation accross Europe last summer and in Austria my mom forgot her camera to this large restaurant and when we finally hours later came back to get it, they just gave it to us. In Finland (where we live) that camera would have been gone for sure. Either some customer woulda taken it or the waitress woulda put it in her pocket. I dunno about Europe in general but I wouldn't trust Finns or Americans ever in such case.
Something which has always amazed me about the Japanese that they seem to go about things in an way which seemed very intuitive to me. Even though I'm a gaijin, I think I would fit in very well with most of them.
Funny, you may be right. As an American, it's almost customary that when one of your parents dies, you just max out their credit cards as fast as possible...use their phone to make calls that you could never afford otherwise. When my dad died, I loaded up his credit cards with all sorts of junk. Nothing happened to me: I picked up lots of swell swag.
That is awesome. I've had to correct the cashier at my local grocery shop twice this week because I was about to get undercharged... and they almost thought I was joking! If the entire culture is how you describe it, Japan looks like an awesome place to live.
I'm sure what you are saying is true for the most part and that you are talking out of your own experience but you are speaking in absolutes. I have heard both from native japanese people and from my cousin who spent a year in japan that it is not really the case. I have heard PLENTY of stories where bikes has been stolen and when my cousin accidentally left his passport and wallet in his inner jacket in a resturant, it was stolen after just a few minutes. Just thought i would bring that up.
With the newer beer vending machines you have to use your ID to prove that you are 20 years old or older so you can buy beer and or sake from the machine. Yes, you could take someones ID that was 20 years old or older but that does not happen very much where I stay at in Japan.Oh, 20 years old is the legal age to drink & smoke here in Japan.
Are you from Australia? New Zealand still has roadside stalls with honesty boxes :) BUT some people do steal from them still :(. Other than that, most people are honest and enjoy the produce :)
I really like all your videos! :D I find them very helpful and informative. It's very nice to be able to watch these and learn more and more about Japan since I plan on moving there from America soon! It helps to learn little things about their culture c: This video in particular made me feel much better about moving so I don't have to worry about leaving my stuff around! xD
Sign outside of the Goodwill (charity) store in the low crime rate city of Lincoln Nebraska USA: "Ring Bell for Donation Attendant. Donations left after hours are usually stolen of vandalized. Thank You."
@tlilmiztli Massive unemployment is followed by massive increases in crime, namely theft. Look at the more downtrodden areas around earth, more fighting happens than anywhere else.
There are no excuses, only facts. Do not like the facts? Tough. Want my solution? Embargo by USA against earth and become self sustaining once more then most of all to prevent theft: Own a gun, lots of guns. Like I do.
@Arelak I live in small city in Mexico (although I am not Mexican). Many people here hit the level of povertythat average Joe in America cant even imagine. Still - I can leave my car open. Hell - when I go to shop I am living my house open. I know - that is a small town where everybody know each other but still - poverty is not reason to steal. And what good would be having lots of guns? Too much hollywood movies dude :D
@tlilmiztli If you live in mexico and that goes on you are in a dream world. Mexico is right now ravaged from government corruption and cartel warfare. Poverty is so high there that theft and murder is as common as breathing air. I know Mexicans who fled Mexico because of that. Dream world is what you live in. That or your vehicle is a piece of garbage that no one wants.
Also get your head out of your rear, thanks to guns we AMERICANS prevent over 15 million crimes a YEAR.
@Arelak Ofcourse government is corrupted. Here cartels are buying politicians, in US banks..Not much of a difference. Some places are horrible. In Juarez almost daily somebody is killed, cartel wars are mainly problem of few states though (Chihuahua in example). You know Mexicans who fled Mx and I know Americans who came to live here. Not all the country is a warzone for crying out loud.
How do you know how many crimes you PREVENT? How you can count crimes that didnt happen? LOL
@tlilmiztli You are spouting nothing but typical AMERICAN liberal propaganda at this point so I doubt you are mexican or maybe a liberal transplant. The very fact you do not even know statistics shows you have no idea what is really going on.
Here is what you need to go: Grow up, read statistics.
Simple.
Till you grow up and learn to read statistics I have nothing more to say to you.
@Arelak Didn't I said that I am NOT Mexican? I just live here - learn to read... And I really dont care about ALL politics - its all same bullshit. I can look out the window - I dont need made up statistics for some tv news. I am here, Tabasco state. Bad things are happening but I still can leave my car open IN A SMALL CITY. I wouldnt do that in DF but here I can. You just need to go out of America for a sec and see rest of the world, make your own mind about it not just believe stats.
@Aaaaarrrrrrggghhh The real reason Japan has such low crime rates is because East Asians in general commit very little crime. The same is true with Whites or Jews. In fact, there's a direct correlation between IQ levels and crime rates. Especially violent crime rates. So, higher crime rates in America have little to do with how supposedly "less advanced" we are than it does with how racially diverse America is...
white people only go abroad to steal from other countries and take it back home.
you know jews are genetically identical to arabs, but i bet you think arabs are somehow racially backward, right? you're full of shit, just simply looking at your gross generalizations says enough
@Serko070 Imperialism isn't unique to the White race. We've just just been the best at it for most of human history.
And no, most Jews aren't genetically identical to arabs. The ones that stayed in the Middle East are mostly arab. But most Jews migrated to Europe and are nearly identical to Europeans. The Jews that stayed in the Middle East have much lower IQs than European Jews.
And yes, I do think arabs are genetically backwards. Most are very imbred, have low IQs, etc.
source? remember, you said most, source please. and don't link me to stormfront please. but basically, you are a pureblooded racist, you clearly believe in racial superiority, right? there's no other way i can read this. and if you think crime in east asia is low, what about all the human traficking? all the chinese triads, gambling mafia, loan sharks, forced prostitution, a lot of it underaged, which btw, you superior whites love to make use of, i can go on forever.
@Serko070 Simply Google Image "Race and IQ" and see the data for yourself.
As to my views on race, it's a bit complicated.
I actually used to be a hardcore militant leftist heavily involved in "racial justice" activism where, really, demonization, hatred and discrimination against Whites, Males, Christians, Capitalists and Conservatives is mainstream.
It was my discovery of my own high IQ in my teens which led me to further researching IQ and accidentially stumbling across race and IQ data in the process and my travels abroad which caused me to become totally disillusioned with my previous "We're All One Race - The Human Race - Yay!" views.
I came to the very painful realization that, really, only Whites, Jews and East Asians are actually capable of developing and maintaining advanced, prosperous and safe societies.
So, I'm really more of an "IQist" or "race realist" than anything. I freely admit that East Asians have slightly higher IQs than Whites and commit less violent crime.
I simply started to accept the cold hard data and stopped ignoring unpleasent realities because they didn't fit my Marxist, one world, anti-racism views.
*shrug* Sue me.
As to crime in East Asian countries and communities, I never said it was non-existant. It's just much lower. Especially violent crime.
the only link between high iq and morality or crime is that a high iq might make you smarter on how you commit your crimines. iq has nothing to do with crime potential or even violence. EQ perhaps, but a high iq might actually make you more violent but in a smarter way, you know how to organize your crime and immoral actions better while getting away with it or get yourself in a safe position while abusing many people. i think you got a very simplistic view on things.
@Serko070 If you have a low IQ, you struggle in school. If you stuggle in school, you struggle to find decent work. If you struggle to find decent work, then your likelyhood of becoming a criminal soars.
Also, you need a certain level of intelligence to empathize with other human beings. It's quite obvious that most muggers, murderers and rapists are motivated primarily by primitive, primal instincts rather than high, cognitive thought.
@TaskForceSixTwoSix And yes, I do know all about the push in the scientific community to say that race doesn't really exist and that, really, "we're all Africans". The scientific community isn't immune from political correctness and activism unfortunately. You're simply not allowed to talk about race openly and honestly within respectable scientific circles. What happened to James D. Watson is an example of what happens to you when you cross that line...
@TaskForceSixTwoSix there are many high IQ people that also struggle in school
also, most criminals have bad pasts, and sometimes those bad pasts are composed of having a bad family, bad school, etc, so getting into the position they are in isn't always because they're dumb; it could also be because they didn't have as good a start as everybody else.
did you happen to stumble on the concept of race not even being a valid scientific term anymore with your high iq? it's an outdated term because in humans there is not enough biologica difference to speak of different races, we're not like dogs or monkeys even if you might wanna believe that. i find your views very simplistic, it's easy to dismiss everything by saying race is linked to iq so that's why they're screwed.
Interesting conversation. As to IQ and crime, please recall that correlation =! causation. It would take more than YT's char. limit to expound on this point fully, but poverty is *far* more closely tied to crime rates than IQ.
As to race and crime - the last time I looked it up, the murder rate for the (virtually exclusively) White population in West Appalachia was among the highest in the nation (USA). No surprise it's also struggling economically.
@Ansset76 And IQ is closely tied to poverty as well. The various factors which contribute to crime rates in a society stack upon each other.
As to your claim that Whites in Appalachia have near the highest murder rates, that's simply not true.
Black males comprise a mere 6% of the American population yet commit a whopping 60%+ of violent crime like muggings, rapes and murders. Over 19,000 White females were raped by black males in America in 2005 for example...
I'll look for the stats on crime; have to track down the Criminology prof. I got them from over a decade ago.
I can find crime stats that differ from yours in numbers, but not general thrust. However, that does nothing to knock down my first contention, that poverty engenders crime.
As to IQ and poverty, we're venturing into chicken-and-the-egg territory here. It's an old, tired debate. If you honestly haven't heard the points on both sides before (which I strongly-)
@Ansset76 - suspect isn't the case), then I say without sarcasm I'm happy to lay out the general arguments (and I've been on both sides of this one in my life).
For a more productive take on this topic, please watch (again, if you haven't already; no condescension intended) "Guns, Germs, and Steel", which is up on YouTube. There's a book as well, but I think the documentary(?) does a pretty good job of encapsulating the author's big points.
@Ansset76 I did a quick Google search of violent crime statistics in Appalachia before I responded to your comment and the statistics I found showed that it was much lower than the national average. *shrug*
And I don't need to -watch- "Guns, Germs and Steel" because I read all of Jared Diamond's books. Yes, he's one of the better advocates for the "nurture" side of the nature vs nurture debate. But he's still wrong.
Yes, environment affects outcomes. But so does nature (your genes).
Had a feeling you'd read them; should have put that in my response. ;) Here's another book that might interest you, then: _Deadly Shore_. It's well-written, about the founding of colonial Australia.
One thing that leapt out at me was that the British were utterly convinced that by removing their "criminal element" they would all but eliminate crime. Of course, that didn't happen, and today their crime rates are pretty comparable. So much for-
@Ansset76 Jared Diamond is leading the fashionable and polically correct charge within the scientific and academic community which claims that all people are equal and that, really, it's only environmenal factors which dictates outcomes. Well, firstly, we know for a fact that not all people are equally intelligent thanks to IQ statistics. Crime, academic, economic and social statistics also prove that some races are simply more civilized and advanced than others.
@Aaaaarrrrrrggghhh overseas*, is* declining. The US is improving now, but the rest of the world is making progress now, and this makes the US seem less impressive. You're right though we aren't #1 at everything anymore, just more than anyone else is so far.
@Aaaaarrrrrrggghhh Actually, this statement is incorrect. The average American doesn't think they are superior. Most of us just live our lives like everyone else on the planet, though I'm sorry if the actions of some idiots have caused you to believe we're self-centered assholes...all countries have their idiots :/
Of course it's not just Japan where people are honest. For what it's worth my family and friends are honest too. But there are few cultures that go as far as Japan does in following the rules. And I agree that the safety, honesty, clean streets and super service sets Japan above anywhere else that I have been to. All good reasons to either visit or live there.
or because the Japanese do not think like neanderthals, as these people who want to steal things do. Who looks at things and says that is easy to steal?? That is what is wrong in this world
what about being fake ? i've heard that japanese people are not always sincere about what they think of others or that they show to much interest in simple things which sometimes come across as fake ! is it true ? i'm mexican by the way !! and I admire japan :)
@SmallHarryaWatLang2 Teacher who went to Japan told me they don't really like to hurt others feelings...? But well, the generation is changing so the young ones might be different. 8Dd
wow really? i would love to live in japan! Where i live i have to worry where i leave my sweater or book. i like the peace of mind of not having the likelihood of having my stuff taken. Im an honest man i dont like stealing because i have morals. i wouldnt mind having that luxury of being in a safe community.
leaving your car runing for 20 minutes while in shopping seems like an exelent way to waste money and polute the environment :P well, different land diferent way of thinking.
@WaterCrystalline Its called bullshit, you dont even realize how westernized Japan is. And how its still fucked up. Just as much as the USA is. They're respectful because they're dishonest, and thats only at first glance. If you talk then is the same as the USA. Except in America, its confront and beat the problem up. In Japan its ignore it and pretend like its to there. Try living in some places
@DarPower1 Sorry. But i beg to differ. This is coming from somone who has actually been to America. Someone who knows actual Americans. And it's not just a few. You can bet on that. At least japan has self-respect. Sure there are problems, but they always try to achieve harmony. I'l take a more controlled and structured society over a more loose, and relaxed one ANY DAY BUDDY. It's what keeps their people from being complete morons. It's not what goes in your head. It's what you do. Nuff said.
@WaterCrystalline Well this is coming from someone who lived in Japan for a vast majority of his childhood. You think Japan tries to achieve more, but it doesnt, its politician are corrupt, and its racism and sexism has become a national embarrassment. Granted the USA had these problems before, but more opportunities, the ability to be who i want to be, and the ability to work and not be overworked or depressed on to he point of suicide is superior in my opinion.
@DarPower1 Well, i'm sorry that you went through some bad experiences. If unprepared for the emotional pressure, any foreigner can have a rough time. It IS a different country, and different culture after all. Though i have to disagree with you on your statements. My friends have never been through situations like the ones you described. Japan is a beautiful country with an amazing society. Sure, there are certain bad things. But the good far outweights the bad.
@WaterCrystalline No, im not a foreigner, i grew up in Japan, its my home. Yes, many things are great about it. But its society isnt amazing, and any Japanese can criticize it like any person would do with their own. Your friends got what they got. And i was never harmed in my society. But i can spot its problems, its unfairness, its irrational. Its essentially the United States of America but without any power and its behind in social terms by 40 years. Thats about it.
@WaterCrystalline You made a statement about a country while promoting one that model itself after it. It doesnt make any sense. Yes teh goods outweighs the bads in any country generally speaking, but that doesnt change the fact that the USA is good in its own respects, and so it Japan. When i was growing up, being American was like the entire school grounds conversation. When i moved to America, it was more advanced, but not that drastically different.
@DarPower1 I never denied it. I'm very well aware that every country has its share of negative aspects. The thing is, that Japan has certain things that no other country has. Whatever bad "things" you have in the west, you won't find here. I grant you that. And in terms of "good things" it's one of the most flawless countries out there. If not the best. You just have a different opinion. That's all. You still haven't fully experienced its beauty, and i feel bad for you.
@WaterCrystalline Um, im Japanese, i fully experienced it beauty. You're not understanding what im saying, im not born American, i moved to America when i was 20. I grew up in japan for the rest of my life. Many problems in the west you wont find in japan. but in terms of it being flawless? Thats a really unpopular matter of opinion from a Japanese perspective.
@DarPower1 You're the first Japanese individual that has ever complained this much, then. Everyone i've met loves their country. It all depends on your experiences. Just because you went through certain stuff, doesn't make it the truth.
@WaterCrystalline I love my country, more than the world, and thats why i criticize it. If our society was better and more reasonable then constant depression i wouldnt care. Its a pretty unreasonable society. Many Japanese vocally and digitally express this. You're just on videos for foreigners, so you dont really see how we actually are. I mean please, our country is in deep trouble, bad enough we had a economic collapse now my Japanese brothers and sisters are radioactive!
@WaterCrystalline I could rant on about how great we are, but nobody points out the downsides, but of course the japanese. And granted we did the same thing with America and other countries. I have no problem ranting on about the problems in America but those arent social problems. Society in America is created by two things, idiotic media and yourself. In Japan is 'japanese is superior, but lets see what other countries do' and old morals. Any Korean or Chinese will say that
@DarPower1 I'm very oposed to the type of society currently existing in America. So i doubt i'm any part of it. Not to mention that i'm not even American for that matter.
@WaterCrystalline Well i have talked to all of Hiroshima, every since i visted Honkawa elementary school. Japan is a great land, of with great people, a people who could be greater, but we only lack the light to show us the way. For this reason above all, our ability to sometimes fail, warrants us to react.
@WaterCrystalline Are you aware of the American society? Its kinda hard to classify it because it changes so differently where ever you go? Also if you're not American, or even apart of its society (which ever one you speak of) what warranted that rather rude comment? Modern day japan's society is American society mixed with this pre imperialistic society.
@WaterCrystalline When i went to countries like America, Denmark, Canada, Afghanistan. and Britain the people were united or separated in groups that were united. They took action against corruption and evil. Against deluded racist or sexist people.
@WaterCrystalline In Japan, Nazi riots can go on for days proclaiming how Koreans are Evil and Chinese want to kill them and nobody do anything, just pretend like its not there thats all that matters. In Germany the small nazi riot got kicked out by the citizens of a village. In Britain and racist lady talking nonsense to some Jewish man was properly told the truth. In New York a Klansmen rally was met with half of angry Manhattan. Only after a nuclear problem do we take action
@WaterCrystalline the 80's and 90's were Japan's prime days. Despite suicides up we were great people. Now its split into three. People who want to preserve that. Americanized kids who like to rebel against illogical things. And old people who hate anything that isnt Japanese men.
@TBBOCIChannel Yeah, that guy. He's one of my favorites. It's the delivery. He was like a very grumpy old man with a mixture of insights and utter insanity.
I think in anglo societies there's a certain amount of pride in being a prick. You can see it in our movies and from our comedians. George Carlin, however brilliant, is a good example.
In the USA, at least wherE I live (It's a big place :P) finding shops with stuff outside the store with no one around is very common. You'll find veggies, clothes, stuff on sale, etc... especially in the summer. I don't do it now, but I remember my mom always leaving the car on whenever we went in to the gas station or something to buy a soda, when I was younger.
Of course, most places have enough cameras to cover every inch of their property and surrounding area :P
Can I live in Japan??? Please!!! Not having to worry about theft and crime is a huge plus for me. I can't wait to visit there, I wont have to worry about my stuff at all. Bushido Rocks!
@Dontcare00001 are you saying you committed a lot of crime in your life and regret it? Me and people I know have not committed any crime. I know about 1,000 people and none have committed any sort of crime. I guess it depends from the area you live and the people you know.
you should do a social experiment on this and RECORD it. put like a $10 on a street where everyone can see, and videotape it and see how long it would take for someone to take it. and if he does take it, will he give it to the police or keep it himself. I think it would be very interesting experiment to watch.
It's sad how people try to contradict what you just explained in your video, it's sad because in their words I can really see that they are not happy about crime at all. I've been to Japan on two occasions and I know what you are talking about, crime is not a temptation there because it just doesn't enter their thinking. If something tempting doesn't cross your mind it's not tempting at all because you simply don't THINK about it. This is how they curb their "temptations" to steal!
this is an old video but I think that like alot of places in the world that there are always safe and dangerous places, like i see alot of videos of people in japan getting there bike stolen and yet in this video the person lives in a place where there is a low crime/ stealing rate.
It has very little to do with Bushido itself... it has more to do with living in a homogenous society. Why should the Japanese allow millions of Negroes , Lebanese , Islanders , Indians etc etc into their nation ? If they do allow unmonitored immigration (invasion) the crime level will jump sky high !!!
What you said was really true. I live in a similiar country of what you 'use to' live in and its so easy to think in a corrupt manner but i decided to be 'the change i want to see in the world' so now when i see something that i could take so easily, be it food or a pen or somethin as simple as a rubber, i would think, do i really need this? Seriously, is it going to change my life for the better? and 100% of the time the answer is no and so i avoid these things and feel like a good person :D

i must be japanese then xD when i was in school and i didn't learn for a test i'd rather write nothing on it then cheating. although i knew many ways how i could've cheated. It's just too much of a stress doing things which aren't right i guess ^^
Very heartwarming that there exists a society where taking from another is considered wrong. I live in America and where I grew up, no one blinks over stealing from another person's hard earned living.
I don't get why people are always so shocked that Japan does have criminals/may have racism. So does everywhere else, why does Japan envoke such shock?
Excellent video. There are so many people that do not know how civilised Japan is. They in fact think Japan is inferior to Western society. They do not understand that the Japanese are very noble, honest, caring and respectful. I am an Australian, and Japan is my second favourite country (behind Australia of course). I hope to visit for a third time next year.
It's funny, here in America, we're supposedly a God-fearing nation, under the clause that "religion encourages good behavior" but we have the way of thinking that encourages getting ahead, even when it comes to stealing. Yet, Japan, a country where a good lot of them don't practice religion, have such outstanding morals and honesty. It's just ironic and it puts the standards of my country to shame.
@Ihkueren The true religious like myself wouldn't ever think of just stealing because i can. You treat people and their property as you want to be treated. We just have to be good role models for those growing up now. That's what the Japanese are doing right.
@Ihkueren well most of the people who steal are not religious people that doesn't atter anyway.
sure they practic religion in Japan they just don't preach it., well as Asias Biggest producers of pornogrophy i wouldn't say the morals are perfect theres alot of unreported crime, & alot in the posts of Japantoday
news letter i recieve everyday (email). don't get me wrong YES theres alot less crime in Japan
are you so sure about that? I'm wasn't specifically speaking about each individual person who is going to church (or not), but that America's foundations ARE based on religion. From as early as our arrival to the colonies. Thus we are a god-fearing nation. Incidental or not.
I see what you're saying, but on a whole it is better. No one can argue that.
@Ihkueren Religion has nothing to do with good behavior. Bad people are everywhere Europe US and Asia all has bad people regardless of religious affiliation
they're too busy stealing panties from clothes lines to steal from vending machines.

LamaPaj 3 weeks ago
@Aaaaarrrrrrggghhh The real reason Japan has such low crime rates is because East Asians in general commit very little crime. The same is true with Whites or Jews. In fact, there's a direct correlation between IQ levels and crime rates. Especially violent crime rates. So, higher crime rates in America have little to do with how supposedly "less advanced" we are than it does with how racially diverse America is...
TaskForceSixTwoSix 3 weeks ago
@TaskForceSixTwoSix
white people only go abroad to steal from other countries and take it back home.
you know jews are genetically identical to arabs, but i bet you think arabs are somehow racially backward, right? you're full of shit, just simply looking at your gross generalizations says enough
Serko070 2 weeks ago
@Serko070 Imperialism isn't unique to the White race. We've just just been the best at it for most of human history.
And no, most Jews aren't genetically identical to arabs. The ones that stayed in the Middle East are mostly arab. But most Jews migrated to Europe and are nearly identical to Europeans. The Jews that stayed in the Middle East have much lower IQs than European Jews.
And yes, I do think arabs are genetically backwards. Most are very imbred, have low IQs, etc.
TaskForceSixTwoSix 2 weeks ago
@TaskForceSixTwoSix
source? remember, you said most, source please. and don't link me to stormfront please. but basically, you are a pureblooded racist, you clearly believe in racial superiority, right? there's no other way i can read this. and if you think crime in east asia is low, what about all the human traficking? all the chinese triads, gambling mafia, loan sharks, forced prostitution, a lot of it underaged, which btw, you superior whites love to make use of, i can go on forever.
Serko070 2 weeks ago
@Serko070 Simply Google Image "Race and IQ" and see the data for yourself.
As to my views on race, it's a bit complicated.
I actually used to be a hardcore militant leftist heavily involved in "racial justice" activism where, really, demonization, hatred and discrimination against Whites, Males, Christians, Capitalists and Conservatives is mainstream.
TaskForceSixTwoSix 2 weeks ago
It was my discovery of my own high IQ in my teens which led me to further researching IQ and accidentially stumbling across race and IQ data in the process and my travels abroad which caused me to become totally disillusioned with my previous "We're All One Race - The Human Race - Yay!" views.
I came to the very painful realization that, really, only Whites, Jews and East Asians are actually capable of developing and maintaining advanced, prosperous and safe societies.
TaskForceSixTwoSix 2 weeks ago
So, I'm really more of an "IQist" or "race realist" than anything. I freely admit that East Asians have slightly higher IQs than Whites and commit less violent crime.
I simply started to accept the cold hard data and stopped ignoring unpleasent realities because they didn't fit my Marxist, one world, anti-racism views.
*shrug* Sue me.
As to crime in East Asian countries and communities, I never said it was non-existant. It's just much lower. Especially violent crime.
TaskForceSixTwoSix 2 weeks ago
@TaskForceSixTwoSix
the only link between high iq and morality or crime is that a high iq might make you smarter on how you commit your crimines. iq has nothing to do with crime potential or even violence. EQ perhaps, but a high iq might actually make you more violent but in a smarter way, you know how to organize your crime and immoral actions better while getting away with it or get yourself in a safe position while abusing many people. i think you got a very simplistic view on things.
Serko070 2 weeks ago
@Serko070 If you have a low IQ, you struggle in school. If you stuggle in school, you struggle to find decent work. If you struggle to find decent work, then your likelyhood of becoming a criminal soars.
Also, you need a certain level of intelligence to empathize with other human beings. It's quite obvious that most muggers, murderers and rapists are motivated primarily by primitive, primal instincts rather than high, cognitive thought.
TaskForceSixTwoSix 2 weeks ago
@TaskForceSixTwoSix And yes, I do know all about the push in the scientific community to say that race doesn't really exist and that, really, "we're all Africans". The scientific community isn't immune from political correctness and activism unfortunately. You're simply not allowed to talk about race openly and honestly within respectable scientific circles. What happened to James D. Watson is an example of what happens to you when you cross that line...
TaskForceSixTwoSix 2 weeks ago

Serko070 2 weeks ago
@TaskForceSixTwoSix
so you went from one extreme and simplistic way of thinking to another, it's not that complicated.
Serko070 2 weeks ago
@TaskForceSixTwoSix
Ansset76 2 weeks ago
@Ansset76 And IQ is closely tied to poverty as well. The various factors which contribute to crime rates in a society stack upon each other.
As to your claim that Whites in Appalachia have near the highest murder rates, that's simply not true.
Black males comprise a mere 6% of the American population yet commit a whopping 60%+ of violent crime like muggings, rapes and murders. Over 19,000 White females were raped by black males in America in 2005 for example...
TaskForceSixTwoSix 2 weeks ago
@TaskForceSixTwoSix
Ansset76 1 week ago
@Ansset76 - suspect isn't the case), then I say without sarcasm I'm happy to lay out the general arguments (and I've been on both sides of this one in my life).
For a more productive take on this topic, please watch (again, if you haven't already; no condescension intended) "Guns, Germs, and Steel", which is up on YouTube. There's a book as well, but I think the documentary(?) does a pretty good job of encapsulating the author's big points.
Ansset76 1 week ago
@Ansset76 I did a quick Google search of violent crime statistics in Appalachia before I responded to your comment and the statistics I found showed that it was much lower than the national average. *shrug*
And I don't need to -watch- "Guns, Germs and Steel" because I read all of Jared Diamond's books. Yes, he's one of the better advocates for the "nurture" side of the nature vs nurture debate. But he's still wrong.
Yes, environment affects outcomes. But so does nature (your genes).
TaskForceSixTwoSix 1 week ago
@TaskForceSixTwoSix
So much for-
Ansset76 4 days ago
@Ansset76 - the greatest naturalistic experiment of what causes crime.
Also, what flaws do you see in Diamond's reasoning?
Do you consider Meso-Americans one of the "inferior" races? (Not rhetorical.)
Ansset76 4 days ago
@Ansset76 Jared Diamond is leading the fashionable and polically correct charge within the scientific and academic community which claims that all people are equal and that, really, it's only environmenal factors which dictates outcomes. Well, firstly, we know for a fact that not all people are equally intelligent thanks to IQ statistics. Crime, academic, economic and social statistics also prove that some races are simply more civilized and advanced than others.
TaskForceSixTwoSix 4 days ago
And yes, Mesoamericans are inferior to Whites, Jews and East Asians in virtually every way you want to measure.

Nuff said.
WaterCrystalline 2 months ago

WaterCrystalline 2 months ago
@WaterCrystalline No, im not a foreigner, i grew up in Japan, its my home. Yes, many things are great about it. But its society isnt amazing, and any Japanese can criticize it like any person would do with their own. Your friends got what they got. And i was never harmed in my society. But i can spot its problems, its unfairness, its irrational. Its essentially the United States of America but without any power and its behind in social terms by 40 years. Thats about it.
DarPower1 2 months ago
@WaterCrystalline You made a statement about a country while promoting one that model itself after it. It doesnt make any sense. Yes teh goods outweighs the bads in any country generally speaking, but that doesnt change the fact that the USA is good in its own respects, and so it Japan. When i was growing up, being American was like the entire school grounds conversation. When i moved to America, it was more advanced, but not that drastically different.
DarPower1 2 months ago
@DarPower1 I never denied it. I'm very well aware that every country has its share of negative aspects. The thing is, that Japan has certain things that no other country has. Whatever bad "things" you have in the west, you won't find here. I grant you that. And in terms of "good things" it's one of the most flawless countries out there. If not the best. You just have a different opinion. That's all. You still haven't fully experienced its beauty, and i feel bad for you.
WaterCrystalline 2 months ago
@WaterCrystalline Um, im Japanese, i fully experienced it beauty. You're not understanding what im saying, im not born American, i moved to America when i was 20. Thats a really unpopular matter of opinion from a Japanese perspective.
DarPower1 2 months ago

@WaterCrystalline I love my country, more than the world, and thats why i criticize it. If our society was better and more reasonable then constant depression i wouldnt care. I mean please, our country is in deep trouble, bad enough we had a economic collapse now my Japanese brothers and sisters are radioactive!
DarPower1 2 months ago
@WaterCrystalline I could rant on about how great we are, but nobody points out the downsides, but of course the japanese. And granted we did the same thing with America and other countries. In Japan is 'japanese is superior, but lets see what other countries do' and old morals. Any Korean or Chinese will say that

Ah yes, stealing may be rare, but sexual harassment on trains to women is quite prominent.

this is an old video but I think that like alot of places in the world that there are always safe and dangerous places, like i see alot of videos of people in japan getting there bike stolen and yet in this video the person lives in a place where there is a low crime/ stealing rate.
i did like the look of the stores !

@Ihkueren Manga is a kind of religion.
I have learned lot from manga.
midoringo0108 3 months ago
@Ihkueren The true religious like myself wouldn't ever think of just stealing because i can. You treat people and their property as you want to be treated. We just have to be good role models for those growing up now. That's what the Japanese are doing right.
mgshadow45 3 months ago
@Ihkueren well most of the people who steal are not religious people that doesn't atter anyway.
sure they practic religion in Japan they just don't preach it., well as Asias Biggest producers of pornogrophy i wouldn't say the morals are perfect theres alot of unreported crime, & alot in the posts of Japantoday
news letter i recieve everyday (email). don't get me wrong YES theres alot less crime in Japan
than in the US & china but its not perfect.
MetalHeart8787 3 months ago
@MetalHeart8787
are you so sure about that? I'm wasn't specifically speaking about each individual person who is going to church (or not), but that America's foundations ARE based on religion. From as early as our arrival to the colonies. Thus we are a god-fearing nation. Incidental or not.
I see what you're saying, but on a whole it is better. No one can argue that.

@Ihkueren
lol yep its sad, being religious drives us mad much?
10Samchicks 2 months ago
@Ihkueren Religion has nothing to do with good behavior. Bad people are everywhere Europe US and Asia all has bad people regardless of religious affiliation
