  • They count every single dolphin leaping out of the water that they see?

oh dear, won't they overcount? They can count the same individual more than twice! ><

  • Humans are scum

  • humans r such a threat to animals

  • But why do they taste so good!? D'¦

  • what beautiful animals (i know most pplz dont agree) in my opinion every dolphen even "the worlds ugliest dolphin" are all beautiful and cute :D

  • People... All that humanity does is ruin something. Just like planet earth.

  • interesting that only now, theyre counting them.

the video doesnt make clear that there are 2 species in the amazon, the tucuxi (the type he snaps the photo of) and the bigger, squishier boto.

  • Look at 1:00. He specifically says there's two types of dolphins.

  • Their fresh water! OH I know what I'm doing with my pool next summer!

  • i give these dolphins about 2-5 years before ther all gone

  • @soalskatr101 now 1-3 Years

  • freshwater dolphins? what a rarity

  • nice it actually tells us where the pink dolphins live!!!

  • traffic, fishing, and logging are still a threat. See All National Geographic

  • i need someone smart to keep me entertained

energetic fun smart and loves this video Aq

  • wow. I love dolphins. It's so sad the way some people catch them and are happy and the way people are damaging their inviorment how can people just not care. these are just remarkable creature and those people have to relize that they souldn't mess with dolphins.

  • very cute, i remember seeing those in that old macintosh game called Amazon Trail, lol, aren't they called Botos(?)?

  • to see a river dolphin is one of my dreams i love them they are so different to the others dolphins they just amaze me

  • no animals stand a fighting chance for survival on this planet except the ones humans domesticate and/ore eat

  • i love dolphins! they're so cute. xD

  • i love dolphins i want to swim with them one dat.

  • there a island in Brasil, called Fernando de Noronha, you can swim with dolphins and sharks,I shark attack never hapened there, the animals and their habitat and food are very well preserved, just amazing..but near that place,in Recife,in the coast of brasil,a lot of shark attack hapened because the habitat is destrouyied, and the animals have to search food more closer to the beach, poor surfers..lol

  • you can donate to Dee's Nut'z Fund for the dophins.......

  • eat the dolphins?

  • i.adore.dolphins[!]i.wish.i.had.one[!]

  • Fernando guy looks like Nicholas Cage!

  • You need glasses lol

  • nice

  • those poor dolphins i wonder if there is a relief fund i could donate to every animal deserves a chance to live

  • the only relief fund they need is for boats and human interaction to cease between the two. All releif funds do is buy tanks to entrap these species.

  • interesting video

They should use a better naratoe though. He ruined it for me.

  • poor creaturs :(

  • ive seen one

and swam in the orinoco with them

  • me too

  • hope they all servive

  • Great Narrator! i hate it when they have bad ones lol xD Cute dolphins

  • Comment removed

  • r they the pink ones?

  • Likewise orcas, dolphin sleeps with only one brain semisphare at a time. How does dolphin spend during night hours, as that means dolphin keeps to move with rest of awake brain semispahre? Eating all the day, or dancing as part of that social behavior?

  • River dolphins are awesome. I want to import them into our rivers and lakes if possible.

  • well, so far every time we have done that it has greatly backfired

  • AMAZON=AMAZING

  • I love learning about people doing good things for the world :D

  • Can any of them play basketball like Air Bud?

  • Amazon river dolphins are called here, in Brazil, "Boto Rosa"! They've always been my favourite type of animal. They are really intelligent of course, and, on the contrary of their ocean relatieves, they can move their heads to the sides with much more flexibility.

I love them! They are too cute.

  • i didn't no that they have sex for fun...lol

  • SERIOUSLY,, what's wrong with the Chinese people...?? it's always them...they should really speak up and tell the world why they're doin this...it's wrong...if it's all about money then...they need to open their eyes...(if they can)

  • A lot of them simply didn't care. They set up illegal fishing nets to make their jobs easier, dumped pollution into the water because it was cheap and easy. The Chinese people that do care attempted to save them but were not given the support they requested, so they're efforts were in vain. I personally blame the government for not being more strict and paying more attention.

I hope that wasn't a racist eyes joke but more in a figurative sense because not all Chinese are like that.

  • that's messed up. Why are talking about their squinted eyes?

    just playing.

  • There are also 2000 individuals of river dolphins in pakistan's river indus

  • keep up the good work fernando, good luck with educating the populations.

  • wtf i did not know they where river dolphins,im so ignorant

  • LOL @ pollution via grubby guy bathing himself.

  • Heh... no mentions about the massive dolphin slaughter in the Yangtze? I wonder why...

  • Hey I thought you'd like to know this youtube feed actually made me subscribe the the chanel in HD. Smart marketing! lol

  • watch?v=DBI4GbzAh-E

  • Lol.

    Dolphins.

  • I'm tnirsty now! ......

  • lol

  • fuckin' amazon.

  • a Amazônia é do Brasil,fodam-se gringos!!!

  • omgsh i LOVE dolphins! <3

  • I used to be afraid of river dolphins as a child, but they are truly unique creatures

  • I also hate to admit it, but i dont even see a dolphin yet

  • I hate to admit it, but I didn't even know there was fresh water dolphins.

  • 3rd world countries dont know how to take care of their wild life...

  • 1rd world didnt know either when they were in their industrialization era.

  • Back then no one knew how bad they really affected the environment.

  • Very true. Advancement in ideas are the key. Now we protect most of the animals in "1st world" countries but destroy the earths natural resources. Great comment btw!

  • have you been to a 3rd world country??

  • ohhh i know him!!

    Great Biologist from Colombia

  • Thank you for this find...HOPE..!

  • dolphins have sex for fun

  • so do the bonobos

  • Male humans do it too

  • and humans... :)

  • what the hell is a bonono?

  • a creature that has sex for fun!

  • hah a good reason to love em :P rofls

  • ydlanzitro, sorry I was joking at your expense.

A bononos are primate who greet each other using sex. Google for it.

  • They're the kind of apes that have sex to resolve conflicts. If they're fighting for food, they stop the fighting by having sex. If they have problems with other tribes, they have sex with them and they join together as a new tribe. i learned this from taking Biology in University lol
