  • you busted through a red light and we need a nickel

  • If he was a man he would have just taken responsibility for his actions and shown some honor in sacrificing himself to get his wife to her dying mother. Instead he acts like a punk ... not a man.

  • He put other peoples lives in danger driving like that. He put himself into that position. He should just shut up and take it like a man. If you can't get that then you're clueless.

  • @ToadCharmer <----------------- ur a dumb ass..... it was 2 am in the morning..... no traffic and you said that stupid statement??? typical white redneck trash!!

  • @kalikevz: I don't break the law. You are ignorant enough to believe that you dictate when and where the law should be applied and enforced. He got detained and you side with him. Both of you think you are above the law. Who's the dumb ass? You are just too stupid to ever understand how it works. Its your arrogance, the inability to understand and follow simple rules, a racist attitude, and totally denial of any responsibility for your action that will always keep your lazy punk ass down.

  • @ToadCharmer <----- knows nothing. ive been a PO for years. in training you are taught the difference between the "letter" of the law, and "spirit" of the law..Police are taught the same in 832 PC. ... if officers didnt have the choice to use resonable discretion, then our jails and courts would be full of jay-walkers.... people not having ID on their persons...seat- belts and so on..so its clear that you are just a red neck jerk that has never delt with idiot cops bc of just that...ur white

  • @kalikev: Are you saying this is equal to j-walking? And most cops are idiots and most criminals are dumb asses. Not much deference between the two sometimes. Jails and prisons are not filled with intelligent people on either side of the bars. There must be a reason for that. Not only are you a racist .. you're a PO. That makes you a complete moron. Nobody is going to believe what you say but you are entertaining.

  • @kalikev: I don't break the law. You are ignorant enough to believe that you dictate when and where the law should be applied and enforced. He got detained and you side with him. Both of you think you are above the law. Who's the dumb ass? You are just too stupid to ever understand how it works. Its your arrogance, the inability to understand and follow simple rules, a racist attitude, and total denial of any responsibility for your action that will always keep your lazy p*nk ass down.

  • @kalikev: We can tell that you're not the sharpest crayon in the box because you always say something colorful and very dull without ever making a point.

  • @kalikev: When do you get to the highly predictable and always self degrading "yo momma" jokes? Is that not where you always end up?

  • @ToadCharmer <------- is clearly a typical redneck meth head!

  • @kalikev: <------------- Likes making videos of men working out in the gym. Check out his channel. He gets all excited watching men working out. I guess you are out of the closet now? Racist and pervert and a PO and sympathizing with criminals and turning your back on a fellow PO? You seem to have some very serious issues. I bet you actually dream of being handcuffed by a redneck meth head you sick puppy.

  • @ToadCharmer are u on meth?? that video is me dummy..... what ever youre tryn to imply... SMH! LMAO!! and i dont sympathize with criminals.. i just know how corrupt police and the courts can be.... bc like YOU, they just assume everyone that comes into contact w/ law enforcement is atuomatically guilty... wake up and get the stick out of your ass... you sound dumb... so, u really think its the guy driving 10 mph through a red lights fault bc his ppls were die'n??? typical meth mountain head

  • @kalikev: You brag about being part of a system that you then in turn say is completely corrupt. You post a video of some guy getting excited while filming you at the gym? That's just as bad. Talk about insecurities. You just proved my point. You sound like a broken record; "meth", "meth", "meth."That must be the intense training you have received as a PO kicking in. You also seem to be fixated on meth. To top if off, you're a racist. Go back to the gym where your "boys" obviously LOVE you. LOL

  • @ToadCharmer you are a strange dude... dont you have a klan meeting youre late for? stop bothering me opie taylor... go play on the freeway... im not wasting time on a HS kid that by this time next year will be dead from suicide, but not b4 taking his teachers and a cpl bullies out with him... fuck you and your trench coat mafia

  • @kalikev: You really are afraid. No wonder you want to hang around with cops and lift weights. I bet you sleep with a night light. You're the one fixated on cops, working out with men, and being the star of your own video .... Are you sure you don't have a secret fetish to be one of the "Village People?" And you call me strange? I bet you are listening to "Y M C A" right now and lifting weights with the boys you sick perverted PO. Shame on you.

  • @kalikev: I think you are showing signs of some serious latent homosexuality. You like spending your time with other men with your head dangerously close to their genitals while you lift weights together and "pump" each other up. I bet you would rather hang out with the boys than anything else in the world. Chasing bad guys and carrying big guns and all that real manly stuff. And you post it on your channel? You are screaming to come out of the closet. How sad for you. Awwwwww.

  • @ToadCharmer <--------- is in the closet.

  • @kalikev : You spend all your time with men trying to impress each other and shave your head to look more like a penis. I'm just sayin. You are kicking your own ass.

  • @ToadCharmer <-------- talks alot about homo's, guys and " male " sex organs... its 2011, about to be 12.... you people dont have to hide in the closet anymore.... jus say it.. yorure gay

  • @kalikev: I can see I hit a nerve. The truth will set you free kalikev. Don't worry your buddies will most likely still want to hang out with you but maybe not take showers with you anymore. LOL.

  • @ToadCharmer <--------- weirdo

  • @kalikev <------------------ Is dressing up as "A Power Puff Girl" for the office Halloween party.

  • ACAB

  • the cop is a fucken fagget..... fuck you stupid cop

  • all cops are faggots end of story

  • Comment removed

  • Screw the COP.... he obviously sees they are going into a HOSPITAL... he could have just charged them or go in with them.

life and death, i would have gone in too... fk the cop..

  • Make it fast officer, then maybe you could go in the hospital and get a brain transplant

  • Tats rite Fuck that MotherFucker!!!

  • To all the people who say the cop did not know he was lying....First, he saw a crying woman getting out of the car and running into the hospital. Second, the guy was saying it as well. Now it is not in the edited version, but then after about 15 minutes, a nurse in uniform comes out and tells him the situation.... This cop just didn't have any common sense. He's too dumb to be a cop. There are too many good cops out there who do not deserve their names being dragged in the mud by this cop.

  • Cops are idiots once a cop put on a his siren behind my grandmas car and left it on so she thought she was speeding and then pulled over the cop comes by and screams "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!! WHY ARE YOU PULLING OVER!!!" then leaves I was like WTF

  • FTP FTP FTP FTP

  • The cop's a douchebag idiot fuck. Authority mongering fuckhead.

  • at first I thought powell was a scumbag (which he still is) turns out the previous month *5* police officers in Hollywood,FL did a cover up ( one of the officers ran into a woman's car and he twisted the incident report to make it look like she hit him.

  • Wait what? I heard that he was injured, and was bleeding. Or something.

  • Go Bears!!!

  • That stupid racist towel head lied! Ryan Moats did not have insurance!

  • did you just call someone a racist towel head?????

    lol

speaks for itself you hypocritical racist cocksucking cumtrap

  • lol Bookchucker = spacenuke

    i get it now

you keep using the word libtard

dude, signing on as different channels and pretending to be two people so you can have someone to agree with you...

    is fucking pathetic

talk about absolutely no life at all lol

    amazing

  • for the sake of the intelligence of many people keep your fucking mouth closed.

  • Ryan Moats is a millionaire and did not have insurrance!

  • Well here is my take on this story. Since this officer resigned admist an investigation it will be hard for him to find a job in law enforcement. Personally, police officers deserve the bad reputation that they have. THis video does not seem to change my mind about them. I have never had a good experinec with the police which is why I have this predjudice against any one in that profession. People should learn and respect the law not the badge.

  • If you think that cop was a jerk you should watch what my sister and I went through

She was a single mother of 3 kids and she was dying from Leukemia. The hospital had sent her home because there was nothing left to do for her.

The cops came in at 11:30 at night and took her kids away.

Hours later she died without seeing them again

The video is on youtube and its called leukikia

  • all the cop had to do was follow him into hospital

  • SHAME ON URSELF, pigs.

  • Fuck this idiot cop. I'm white, and even I can see this is racist bullcrap. If this had been some 50 year old white guy in his Cadillac and his greyhaired wife and towheaded grand children, this would be a completely different story.

I wish they would have fired him, so he didn't have the chance to retire. Complete abuse of power. It's all good though, one less racist, power tripping cop in the world.

  • Plus, he can never work for the Dallas PD again, since his resignation took place before an internal investigation could be conducted...def a plus. :-)

  • YOU ARE A STUPID NIGGER! If you were a human you would know that Ryan Moats is a criminal that expected special treatment because he is a special Apelete.

There is no way on God's green earth are you white!

  • Would you do things the same way as Mr. Moats? Do you drive without insurance? Would you endanger people's lives in hopes of cuddling with your mammy in law as she shed her mortal coil? Would you be uncooperative when the police officer asks to see your license, registration and proof of insurance? Would you turn around and lie, saying that the officer made racist comments about you as you receive only a ticket instead of being (more properly) arrested?

  • They both did dumb stuff, the cop was obviously power tripping, and if you can't see that? Then...well...sorry for ya.

Huh? Here is some rationalization. I smell libtard! Moats would have ran over you. You should have some compassion for the police that protect everyone, even you. Pulling over a vehicle is a dangerous task.

  • Moats definitely receive preferential treatment.

  • That is the most stupid thing that I've read in years. I want to buy you a neutering. The cop is not an idiot. He handled things a very level handed and compassionate manner. I don't see or hear of him calling people 'idiot'. You should listen to the things you say and read the things you write.

  • The cop resigned once the department got so much flack on his behalf. Once all of those people come out he should have let him go, not to mention that he shouldn't have drug it out in the first place - give him a ticket quickly or let him go in and leave it for him! There was no point in giving him hell in a hospital parking lot for no real reason. He's a perfect example of a cop abusing his authority, I'm glad he quit, hopefully he would've been fired otherwise.

  • Comment removed

  • You should be ashamed! I'm sure that your parents are ashamed of you! You are a racist! Ryan Moats created this trouble and should have served time.

  • how am i racist?

  • You believe that African-Americans are intellectually inferior and therefore should receive preferential treatment.

You also believe that white people are also racist as you are and must always mistreat people. You are a libtard.

  • 7StoryMagnet should be banned from Youtube. Advocating the murder of police officers is beyond disgusting.

  • @spacenuke2003 cops should not be killed, no1 has the right to take the life of another. But regardless, Police should NOT have the power to take away basic human rights and break the law without proper punishment.

  • What an asshole

  • are you stupid, why would they lie about that, why would ryan moats lie about that just to get the officer pissed??an its already been said that the officer was being rude to ryan moats

  • if he really cared about his mother in law he should have let the cop tow the car and payed the $300 fee. I think if the cop would have let him go. He should have been fired. You hear these horror stories of cops being shot while pulling somebody over. Next time moats steps on the field he should just tell the opposing defense to not tackle him and if they do they should all be released from their respective teams. The point is the cop was doing his job

  • thedawgnes, thanks for your insight, I wondered if they traveled from Houston or somewhere farther ... about the Escalade...it's an expensive vehicle and most people around where I live that drive them are older, reserved people. Maybe the cop thought the driver borrowed it for a joyride, and felt a need to check registration to confirm it wasn't stolen, before believing any story. Cops do get lied to often.

  • I'm afraid I don't have a wealth of extra facts about the situation, but I can say that I have been at his home in Dallas, so the drive couldn't have been very far as the crow flies.

Yes, he wasn't very diplomatic at first, but I would say that was only due to how he raised his voice. Explanations as to why he said he had no insurance could be his emotional state, or he hoped he could postpone the ticketing process (again, emotional state).

By the way, what's wrong with the Escalade? Lol

  • thedawgness2, you are friends of moats, can you shed some light on other facts of the situation, such as how far they traveled ? This has been kept pretty quiet, their story is not all that convincing to some people.

It appeared that moats enjoyed sparring with the cop, smarting off, and he even said he didn't have insurance, he also called the cop "man" ..that didn't help any. I feel sorry for him, being that dumb and all, driving an Escalade, you'd think he have a higher IQ, but you know, NFL

  • *Australia

  • By the way, BobfromSydney, usage of firearms by LAW ENFORCEMENT doesn't count as "freely available to the public." Even in your home country of Australia (I'm assuming that's where you're from, considering your name), the police carry firearms. If police carrying guns is an example of public ownership of weapons, and if public ownership creates a tendency towards warmongering then Autralian cops can be pigs as easily as Americans based on that reasoning. Don't think that supports gun banning :-)

  • Guys, I want to set the record straight:

I (along with many other people I know) am personal friends with Ryan Moats, and can say that while he ran a red light, there was little reason to make him stand there right that hot second and give his information. If anything, the cop could have waited for him outside.

And you're right, the fact that the cop gave a ticket wasn't an abuse of power, shayneerin. But to insist that he exercise his powers as a cop at that very moment was a certain abuse.

  • Exactly.

  • How does the cop know if he is telling the truth?

  • "How does the cop know if he is telling the truth?"

Hi, this is common sense speaking. They were parked at the hospital. The entrance was 30 feet away. Escort the family inside, and you will very quickly find out if they're telling the truth. Deal with the infraction afterwards.

  • oelgotha "How does the cop know if he is telling the truth?"

Stop being an idiot troll. There's no justifying what the cop did & the Dallas police chief pretty much agreed when he said, "we try to hire people with common sense"

Stop him for running a red light? Sure. Cop's doing his job, but after that he's just being a powertripping ass

In fact, a NURSE & another COP came out & asked him to let Moats in. So that'd probably be a pretty good indication that Moats was telling the truth, idiot

  • He could follow him inside.

  • American cops really ARE pigs - these sorts of incidents with crazy police are much less common in countries like Britain or Australia.

This is what happens when guns are freely available to the public - it messes around with policemen's heads and they think their job is to fight a war instead of protecting the public.

  • Since when is it an abuse of police power to write a ticket? It used to be an abuse of power when an officer pulled you out and beat the shit out of you for looking at him wrong... now when a cop writes a ticket and you're in a hurry, the media calls it an abuse of police power. Soon police officers will only be allowed to drive around and throw candy out the window... bunch a cry babies these days... shit

  • Tell me what logic supports reviving a terminal cancer patient? so they can suffer some more?

don't a lot of cancer patients die at home with loving family at their side? and how far did moats drive like a mad man to get to the hospital? doesn't any of you supporters know this answer? YOU DON"T HAVE ALL THE FACTS EITHER????what the.......?

  • good point!

  • Whats even worse, is that officer dumb-ass would have got away with this if the person he pulled over wasn't an NFL player. Who knows how many other people this cop has harassed.

  • oh.....btw. The radio hosts obviously have no idea what they are talking about. They should pick up a vehicle code book before making comments on something they know nothing about. These guys didn't even know you could have your car towed for no proof of insurance. This has been a law in most states for over 5 years.

  • This officer was in the right and anyone that states differently is a liar. Had the SUV hit and killed your loved one you'd be singing a different tune. The driver could have made the traffic stop much easier for himself by just complying with the officer.

  • Officer harris182: More black & white drivel, showing complete lack of any ability to differentiate circumstance. Is that what allows your insipid mind to comprehend things more easily?

"Had the SUV hit and killed your loved one you'd be singing a different tune."

He wasn't driving drunk. He wasn't flying through red lights. He was stopping at them, and driving through when the traffic was clear, with hazard lights on to be more visible. Hardly a great danger to other's lives on the road.

  • dis dumb ass cop

  • the cop resigned but trust me he will be a cop again

  • No excuse, I wouldn't have stopped either, and I am a normal person. It is a good thing this Nazi cop was fired.

In his interview he pathetically plays for sympathy because he has two young kids. Unfortunately for the kids they have an arrogant, power hungry loser for a father.

Lots of police officers are good, increasingly however we are realizing many overstep their bounds.

  • Comment removed

  • Shayneerin YOU ARE A STUPID ass Dick! Get a fuckin life and stay off youtube! You are on here every fuckin day posting and reading comments. That asshole, white trash officer needs to burn in hell right beside YOU!

  • Moats should have stopped immediately, like every other normal person would have under those circumstances. He thought he was above the law and didn't have to stop for the officer. Moats was wrong. He risked the lives of others by not obeying traffic laws. That is why traffic laws don't have exceptions for the general public, even if you are on your way to the hospital to visit a dying relative. Moats would have arrived sooner if he had obeyed the law. Yes the officer could have been nicer.

  • shay: "Moats would have arrived sooner if he had obeyed the law."

Actually, this is very obviously false. By continuing on, Moats arrived at the hospital as quickly as he was able, which allowed his wife to go in and possibly have a precious handful of minutes with her mother before she passed. Something that this repugnant, self-absorbed insect tried everything outside of physical violence to prevent from happening.

  • Well, I guess it depends how far he drove. The stop took about 17 minutes so... by my calculation, he probably would have seen his mother in law sooner had he obeyed the law. The lady was code blue anyways, even when her daughter went in, which basically means her heart had already stopped and they were working on her. There weren't any precious moments like you see in the movies and are probably imagining. She was dead already, and no, its not the cops fault.

  • "There weren't any precious moments like you see in the movies and are probably imagining. She was dead already, and no, its not the cops fault."

You just pointed out, yourself, the stop took 17 MINUTES. Moats' wife went in right away, and her mother died when the cop finished writing the ticket, 17 minutes LATER. What do you think the wife was doing in the hospital for those 17 minutes? Your illogical cynicism speaks only to your desperation in attempting to justify this cop's conduct.

  • yes, she died while he was writing the ticket, but that wasn't my point. My point was that she was code blue WHILE he was writing the ticket and when they arrived. That means her heart had stopped beating and they were trying to revive her so there weren't any conversations regardless of whether Moats was outside getting a ticket or standing in the room watching her die. Get over it, Moats deserved the ticket.

  • You are just talking straight out of your ass now. None of what you just said is verifiable. The nurse came out after 15-17 minutes telling the cop that she was in code blue. You don't know when that happened. You don't know how long she was in code blue. She was pronounced dead 17 minutes after they arrived at the hospital. Do you think her heart was stopped for those 17 minutes? You have no idea what you are talking about.

  • It doesn't matter, regardless. Bottom line is, this bastard of a cop got what he deserved. He was reprimanded by his superiors, & subsequently "resigned" in a feeble attempt to save his career. Yet you continue to defend his repulsive conduct. If you had any sense of self at all, you would have left this argument long ago. But instead you persist, & now show your deeply cynical, uncaring nature. Save your haughty bravado for your boys at the precinct. You are wrong, and you are not welcome here.

  • I don't need your welcome to be here. And I'm not defending this officer, I'm defending the law. I believe in the law and in its enforcement, even when it's not convenient for the public. Society is so full of sniffling wimps like yourself that you get blinded by what you wish had happened rather than accepting what actually happened. Society now teaches that everyone is a winner and everyone should always get their way. That's the real problem here. Moats broke the law and paid for it.

  • "Society is so full of sniffling wimps like yourself that you get blinded by what you wish had happened rather than accepting what actually happened"

And 'sniffling wimps' just like the Police Chief, who unequivocally reprimanded the officer in this incident, and had to apologize for him, because the stubborn jackass didn't have the testes to do it himself, right? You are so blinded by your job, you are hardly qualified to offer an objective assessment on what "actually happened". Pathetic.

  • Look up the chiefs statement on here and you will see what i have to say about that.

  • Yes, of course. The 'sniffling wimp' Police Chief's judgement can't be trusted because of the tried and true "He ain't one of us no more, he don't know nothin." Once again, an absolutely pathetic excuse you can save for your boys at the precinct. You are only grasping at straws, blurting out whatever nonsense comes to mind to defend this power-tripping cop's conduct. I think even you know much of it is a reach, but you are too stubborn and self-righteous to stop yourself, just like this cop was.

  • You certainly do sound like an expert on nonsense that gets blurted out... lol because you know so much about law enforcement, you need to share your knowledge with me right??? lol

  • lol so you have stooped to blatant trolling??? lol

I know enough that you would never go to your Police Chief and tell him how he doesn't know anything about your job because he doesn't do it anymore, as you have so boldly stated here in a comment on YouTube. Do you know why that is? It is because you don't really have any genitals anymore. You have red & blue lights and a gun, and it is obvious that they replaced your balls and your tiny prick a long time ago, just as they did with this cop.

  • But I am done with you, troll. Despite how you claim you would have handled that situation yourself, your asinine comments regarding the dead mother-in-law have proven that you are no less of a dispicable, mindless drone as this cop. With your attitudes, the public would be just as well off with robots policing our cities. And at least then, we wouldn't have to pretend to feel bad when one of them is shot.

  • Perhaps when your mother, wife, or children die, and you are needlessly prevented from having any closure with them, you will gain the ability to empathize with another human being to whom you do not feel honor-bound to defend. Until then, you had better learn the ability to pray that that does not happen, so you can continue to live your life in your cynical, uncaring bubble of bliss.

  • Just remember, if you take nothing else from this officer's "resignation", your oath to the people is to protect and serve, not to antagonize and bully. Not to throw your weight around in every situation like a pig because you posess a badge. Not to steal life's most important moments away because you lack the testicular fortitude to put your pride aside once in a while and realize that your "red and blues" aren't all that matters in the world. Never forget that.

    Farewell.

  • quit acting like you know anything about police work... it's different than what you see on tv dip shit.

  • Comment removed

  • quanna1984 - you're taking my comments a little personally don't you think? Am I not allowed to have an opinion unless it's the same as yours? You must be an Obama supporter. lol

  • You know what sucks, the cop made a good/legal stop and i totally agree that he should have shown more compassion to the situation. The way he handled the stop was ALL wrong.BUT,how many of this officers "good deeds" made it to the news? The time he helped a domestic violence victim or a rape victim?Or maybe the time he caught a fleeing felon? How about when he simply worked all those Xmas eves away from his family so we could be safe? Doesnt excuse his behavior here, but somethin to think about.

  • It is very cool how Moats never brought up the fact that he is in the NFL. Most players would have thrown that around for sure. The cop was an ass and he will get what he deserves.

  • you are soooo right about Moats not bringing up the NFL,,most would bring it up to get free drinks, let alone to get out of this one..*This officer should feel the flames of hell licking at his heels. My heart goes out to Moats and his family. I once followed my mother and sister in an ambulance with my hazards on following, because she was also dying. No one pulled me over thank God, but you are not thinking, you are just thinking about your loved one, he could have followed him to the room.

  • Y would he care about public opinion if he was just doing his job? and if he handled the situation better, than the chief would have said that he had handled the situation by the book and we are glad to have him on the force. But no, they knew he had fucked up so they try and save face. The funny thing is that if this wasnt a NFL player than he would still be in uniform acting like an ass to someone else.

  • Wow different day same shit. still trying to defend ya boy, give it up. You are the only one on here trying to do so. He himself, and the police chief admitted he was wrong, now its your turn.

  • The he was trying to save his job because of public OPINION and the chief is trying to make his department look good. Bottom line, police have to do things that the public don't like at times. Now they are all in damage control mode even though they both know that the he/the officer, did nothing wrong.

  • By the way if your are a cop please take off your vest so you can be shot

  • What an ass!! Cop see's a black man in a Cadillac and he has to be an ass. When he pulled into the ER the cop should have let him go. I hope when this cop's loved one is dying he can not be there.

  • ya ya ya... america is racist... bla bla bla. Tell our BLACK president to do something about it.

  • Your proving everything blacks say about racism and the police. I note how you said SHE WAS " CODE BLUE" WHEN MOATS PULLED UP TO THE HOSPITAL SO IT WAS ALREADY TO LATE TO TALK TO HER. GET OVER IT PEOPLE. What kind of animal makes a statement like what you did. I hope your not in law enforcement if you are god help us. Please know that if this was a middle aged white man he would have never done this

  • Shayneerin I understand a lot of what cops go thorough I come from a family of law inforcement but there is no reason for what that cop did once he found out what was going on, this isn't about the red light keep the focus this cop was very inconciderate showed no empathy and even after the nurses and the other cop asked can he please get to her side what did he say I'm almost done oh lets not forget the lecture on the NEXT IME he rushing to his dying mother inlaws side what he should do

  • Moats should have stopped earlier and explained the situation to the officer, rather than ingnore him driving to the hospital. I am certain the 99% of the population would have stopped earlier under those same circumstances. You all say wouldn't have, but you would have stopped. Think about it, red and blues flashing behind you and you speed off running red lights and stop signs in the middle of the night... only a person with no regard for the law would do that. Moats got what he deserved.

  • "Thats life. Break the law, pay the price."

That one actually made me laugh out loud!

  • Number one cop line "I can make your life very difficult..." heh, they're always busting that one out to assert their power...

  • yeah i would of removed that dumb comment too.

  • So are you not taking your own advise by ignoring me then??? Just can't help talking shit to a cop can you? lol I love arresting people like you.

  • I think this is why people take grievance with individuals in your position. Cops who "love" arresting people. Doing your job is fine but proving to the world that you have illegitimate control over people only because society, at this point in time, is without a full proof way of protecting everyone's rights takes a special kind of ass hole

  • I don't love arresting everyone. But I love arresting ass holes like those of you talking shit.

  • You're a tool who probably got ur ass beat in highschool. I feel bad for you

  • Do you work a schedule closer to LAPD where they work three on and four off or more of a five day day, swing, or mid shift

  • 4 on 3 off most years.

  • LAPD almost had a rank and file revolt when they tried to change to shifts...

  • lol

  • That makes no sense. everyone knew when she was dying!! She was dying right then!! thats y they were going thru red lights and stop signs at a high rate of speed, and even when they tell him she is a code blue...he is still an ass and takes his sweet time. Thats Bullshit!!

  • Comment removed

  • Thats life. Break the law, pay the price.

  • Everyone just ignore shayneerin. This is a perfect example of y no one likes cops, cause even when they're wrong they think they're right. Thank you for proving once again that cops 9 times outta 10 are dicks.

  • Actually... probably 9.5 outta 10 are dicks... and I know a lot of cops. But they all have a good side and would gladly give their life to save yours.

  • The thing that non-cops don't understand is the stress involved in job. Not knowing when you might be killed or have to kill someone. I'll had to tell parents their children are dead. I've walked into suicide situations and had a teenagers brains drip off the cealing onto my uniform. You all live in a sheltered world, and we police deal with the shit that nobody else wants to deal with.

  • HAHAHA...doubt it, looked at the payscale for police and sheriff's officers, and the only way you're making that is if you're the police chief...not likely or if you have been on the force for 20 yrs or more, and they still only make around 63,000 a yr. So with you being 32 I doubt you joined the force when you were twelve. Nice try tho.

  • If you are one of the only few people on this planet who can't see what the cop did was wrong then I have nothing else to say. Even the cop realized what he did was wrong. We all see that Moats should have received the ticket. That's not the issue. Police officers who abuse their powers, can't exercise proper discretion, and are intellectually incapable of problem solving in real time have no right to wear a badge and call themselves public servants. Plain and simple.

  • Actually, it's a matter of opinion as to whether or not the officer did anything wrong. I look at it from a legal perspective, not a public opinion perspective. You all say common sense should have dictated the officers actions, yet Moats used no common sense either. When it comes to dealing with a police officer you will generally get back what you give. Officers are taught to control situations by escalating slightly above whatever a person may be dealing out. Moats was not reasonable.

  • You sir, are not very bright. So according to you, lecturing Moats while his family member was dying is a matter of legal perspective? As far as I can tell, Moats used common sense. He stopped at that red light, made sure no one was coming, and then crossed in order to make it to the hospital before his mother-in-law died. Yes what he did was an infraction in which he should have been cited for but how the officer handled the situation was unconscionable.

  • It was more bad luck than anything. Bad luck that the mother in law actually died at that moment. Once aspect that has been over looked is that nobody really knew when the mother in law was going to die. We only know now because she actually died. The officer was probably assuming she would be alive another few minutes. I don't blame the officer for an act of God.

  • You are right, the officer didn't know and neither did Moats. Then the officer decides its appropriate to deprive him of something he could never give back based on that circumstance? And even after the hospital staff came out and tried to explain the situation he replies with "I'm almost done." Give me a break. Even the other police officer understood the situation. The cop just couldn't swallow his pride and that's what is sickening to most people.

  • I dont care what you do for work. You are an idiot. If your ranking supperiors knew what you were writing on here. Youd get shit canned too. IDIOT

  • He didn't get "shit canned" actually, because his supervisors knew he didn't do anything illegal. He returned the favor Moats did for him by being an ass hole back... oh well. He resigned to avoid the media storm, so get your facts straight BORTZBORTZ. Cops don't get fired for being jerks... they have to do something illegal or against the policy of the department. So get over it dip shit.

  • Im sure your mom is very healthy right now, or you don't have one. you martian

  • She would have died regardless of what the officer did. She was "code blue" when Moats pulled up to the hospital so it was already to late to talk to her. Get over it people... the cop made a good stop, and Moats broke the law.

  • Shayneerin, how about if that cop did that to you when you have a loved one dying and he verbally abuses you and threatens you does that feel good?

Well in your case you lack empathy and you only learn the moment something like this happens to you. just pathetic

  • If it were me I would have gone as quickly and safely as I could without breaking any laws. And if I did break traffic laws and got caught, I would stop and explain to the officer why I'm in a hurry. I don't have empathy for people who break the law and blame the cops when they are caught. Excuses are like noses, everyone has one.

  • shay, you are one of those lost ppl who think the law is all 'goody goody", until you're the one in that situation. He had on his EMERGENCY lights, which was self explanatory that he had a reason for running it, then when he did try to explain to the cop when he got there, the stupid cop still insisted on being stubborn and cold about it. IT IS THE OFFICERS FAULT!

  • So you say its the officers fault that Moats broke the law and refused to stop? Emergency flashers aren't meant to be used in that way. He could have hurt someone else driving the way he did, which is why it's against the law. Moats was a complete dick throughout the incident and got exactly what he deserves.

  • shayneerin: "If it were me I would have gone as quickly and safely as I could without breaking any laws. And if I did break traffic laws and got caught, I would stop and explain to the officer why I'm in a hurry."

And then, in both cases, you could explain to your wife why you arrived to her mother's bedside just a few minutes too late. Your complete lack of empathy is typical of your kind, yet no less disgusting.

  • see, you are operating on 100% hindsight like everyone else looking at this case. Do what you want man, but dont expect empathy when you break the law.

  • WHAT HINDSIGHT? _I_ can actually picture myself in that situation. Your wife is next to you in the car, hysterical with grief that her mother is dying. You are just a few blocks away from the hospital, and you're going to sit there at every stoplight for 2 minutes when the crossing is clear? You're going to make a complete stop at every sign and count your one-onethousand two-onethousand three-onethousand? I don't think so. The guy got UNLUCKY a cop was nearby, and that he was an ASSHOLE.

  • Honestly, I can see what you are saying. I may do the same thing, but I would stop when I got caught for sure. I would step on it and ignore the cop. Then jump out yelling at him like its his fault Im in this crapy situation.

  • "I may do the same thing, but I would stop when I got caught for sure. I would step on it and ignore the cop. Then jump out yelling at him like its his fault Im in this crapy situation."

You see, this is where you fall out of touch with reality as a result of your position. Again and again, you keep saying Moats was the asshole, and the cop only responded in kind. It is obvious the perspective you see this from.

  • But watch again closely, and more objectively if possible - The very first part of this confrontation begins with the cop having his weapon drawn (not seen on the vid) on Moats' family, yelling at them in a hostile tone "Get in there, get in there, let me see your hands GET IN THERE" etc, not listening to a SINGLE WORD they're trying to say. How is this man supposed to react with his family being held at gunpoint and being yelled at?

  • Well, he actually responds, not with equal hostility, but with a PLEADING tone and trying to explain to the officer the situation, hoping he might actually listen this time. He PLEADS multiple times, and this bastard cop's ONLY response to it all is a flat "Let me see your insurance for the car." He doesn't make a single, solitary attempt to actually address the situation at hand.

  • It is only then Moats becomes an asshole, AFTER he realizes THIS ASSHOLE COP is absolutely NOT going to allow him to join his wife to see his mother-in-law NO MATTER WHAT HE SAYS. Frankly, the cop is fortunate this football player didn't smash his face in at the first opportunity after that, although that action would have been a get out of jail free card for this fucking asinine cop, and quite possibly just what he was looking for - physically hostile action to justify his own insolent conduct.

  • The hindsight Im talking about is being able to look back now and know exactly when the mother in law dies, be able to know that its a high profile family which the officer did not know, be able to know that it would be on CNN the next night etc. The officer delt with the situation in real time which people seem to forget, especially his supervisors who haven't worked the street in 20 years.

  • As for the hindsight, yes, the cop was "unlucky" this was a high-profile family, and that the mother-in-law actually died as he finished writing the ticket. But no more unlucky than a family that's rushing to see a dying mother getting caught by a cop.

How does that make the cop's conduct more defensible? It was okay for him to be a bastardous piece of shit piglet because he didn't think it'd be on TV? Tragically, that is what it takes to put reprehensible injustice like this into the light.
