  • What is the name of this music/song and the artist? Does anybody know? I really like it.

  • @Critique808 DJ Astrix - Poison

  • I remember the Wave. I think it had the best stereo sound system and lighting effects but it was too loud. The neighbors compained about the noise.

  • good club, but was more a fan of 3D.

  • I was honored that I got to be there the last night The Wave was open. I was on the Greeneville. Used to go and watch Missing Dave and get hammered. Spent many a night/early morning closing that place down.

  • I played there in 1987 with my band Aurora. I think Danial was the main DJ. He turned me on to a whole new "wave" of music. Good times.

  • I was stationed at Barbers Point from 83-86. Spent ALOT of time partying downtown. Places like the Wave, Jazz Cellar, Masquerades, Pink Cadillac, Red Lion...the list is long. Bully Hayes near Pearl City was another great place to go. Usually on the way back to the base. I really miss those times. Wish I could do it all again.

  • @vf74tomcat I rember those clubs. I was there 82-84. had great times in the wave as well as 3D

  • 89-92!!

  • Those were the days, back when Hat Makes the Man was the house band. Good times.

  • Yeah, I remember 'The Wave'! Early to mid 80's when bands like Sonja & The Revolution & Hat Makes The Man ruled the roost. I remember one night in 83 I think it was when Romeo Void played there and that same year the Bowie look alike contest. I lived in Waipahu back then...now I'm in So-Cal. Those were some fun times back then. Sad to hear it's gone now.

  • Good times, folks...1989-1991. Back when techno wasn't so mainstream.

  • Man! The Wave was great. Great times 93-97.

  • Oh how I miss the Wave! I was around in the mid 80s back then when Sonja was playing. I wish I could go back in time and remain in 84. Best years of my life.

  • I loved The Wave and even worked there as a graphic artist in the late 80s. Remember the band, Hat Makes The Man and Sonya...awesome times were had at The Wave.

  • Hat makes the Man, I still have a cassette from them. "Shake of Big hands" Don't ask it's a fact you die" Etc...I searched Utube for a video with them but no luck. I was last seen at the Wave in 1987

  • thanks hans

  • that place was my home away from home when I lived there-when did it close?

  • The last party at The Wave was Saturday May 13th 2006, one year ago. They tore down the building pretty fast after that. The funny part is that Jack in the Box across the street also closed. Coincidence? ;P

  • ha ha, I am sure that had much to do with it. It's too bad. I had always hoped one day I'd get back to The Wave. Is there anything remotely close to what the Wave offered anymore?

  • I MISS THE WAVE!!! Spent my 21st there...wish they didnt have to close!!!

  • Spent my 21st there as well...Amazing memories, great times

  • I MISS THE WAVE!!! Spent my 21st there too...wish they didnt have to close...GOOD TIMES!!!

  • My 21st was spent at The Wave...too bad it's gone...

  • i also miss the wave, i used to go to there on summer nights... RIP the wave

  • I miss the Wave too...but that song...yikes. Did they play that there?
