  • Man, this stuff is amazing! A friend of mine dumped her geckos on me when she moved out of state and one was in horrible condition, I checked everyday to see if he was dead! This stuff brought him back to life! He's a chunky, healthy thing now. Thanks again!

  • dude sounds like ur makin a steriod drink for the thing lol

  • repti calcium is not vitamin powder, the recipe refers to reptile vitamins such as reptivite.

  • my gecko has not eatin for 2days maybe not a big deal but he just became a juvey and is on the skinny side please help great vid dude!

  • @skorpionfart Did you just get him? it's normal for them not to eat for the first few days as they are adjusting to their new environment. Even if S/he isn't new, 2 days is nothing to be worried about. Just make sure your temps are okay (92-96), and it should be fine.

  • @OneFootedAce thats wayyyyyy too hot u retard ur fucking suffacating ur gecko u little fagget!!!

  • @askluii lol.............I'm the retard? Let's see all the spelling mistakes you made in that small comment.

    1) That's

    2) Hot? Judging by your ignorant post, I think you meant to say hard..

    3) You

    4) Your

    5) suffocating

    6) Your

    6) You

    7) Faggot You spelled 7/14 words in your comment wrong. Looks like someone needs to go back to school!

  • @OneFootedAce hahahaha omg ur funny kid!! hey man i wanna say sryy i was mad :)

  • @askluii Really? Now you're apologizing? LOL

  • @OneFootedAce yeah sryy i havnt eaten that day and i was mad sooo yeah sryyy ;)

  • my gecko has not eating in 2 days he is

  • I subbed you can you sub me back

  • will this work for golden geckos too?

  • @1022wil yes

  • @OneFootedAce hi, for how long does a gecko needs to stop eating to consider doing this? mine stopped eating about 4 days ago... it may not be that bad but im starting to get worried

  • @helterskelter1194 It's your judgment, it's completely normal for geckos to go off feed, and I wouldn't worry at all for a gecko being off feed for 4 days. Once your gecko begins losing significant weight, then I'd consider using it.

  • @OneFootedAce thank you for answering :) I hope my little gecko is not sick thanks for your advise

  • My gecko isn't eating, I don't know why. I feed him mealworms but he stopped eating them after a week so he hasn't really eaten for 7 months. Hes a juvenile. If you want to see his setup, go to my channel. But I'm trying to feed him turkey baby food right now for protein. Please help...

  • @greendayhieu What's your floor temps on the warm side (I noticed your thermometer was on the side of the tank, it's not going to do much good there, I also suggest you get a digital thermometer). Make sure the temps are 92-96 degrees. If his temps are around that, and he truly hasn't eaten a lot in close to 7 months, I'd suggest getting a stool sample and bringing that, along with your gecko to a vet....

  • @OneFootedAce Yeah i got a new thermometer with a probe, and the temperature is usually ranging in the 90's. And whats a stool sample?

  • @greendayhieu fresh feces (poo). Usually vets will want it no more then 24 hours old. I suggest making the slurry in order to get a stool sample to bring to the vet with you.

  • @OneFootedAce My parents are too cheap to take him to a vet so I'll just keep feeding him the baby food for now. :/

  • @greendayhieu To be perfectly honest, then you shouldn't have a leopard gecko (or any pet for that matter). If you cannot afford to bring your animals to the vet, then it's downright irresponsible of you to own it. Try to find some money, or help your parents out with chores, and make some money to try and save your gecko. Otherwise, I'd try to find someone to give your gecko to (who has the money to properly care for it), until you have the funds to do so yourself.

  • @OneFootedAce I take perfectly good care of my gecko, I researched for 5 years before even getting one, and as you can see, I have my gecko in the best setup possible, I have access to live mealworms 24/7, and I change his water dish and humid hide out daily. I am responsible, but its not that necessary to have a vet if you're pet is doing fine. But, this gecko is a gecko I got from PetCo so that must be the reason why. I did nothing wrong on my behalf. It is not my fault the gecko isn't eating.

  • @greendayhieu If your gecko hasn't been eating for 7 months, and you won't take it to the vet, then I hate to say it, but that's irresponsible. It doesn't matter if the gecko is from PetCo or a reputable breeder, the animal is still a living thing and deserves to live a happy life.

  • @greendayhieu I'm not questioning your care of the gecko, I'm sure you take great care of it, but when dealing with living creatures, you need to be prepared to take it to the vet if problems arise, you're not doing that, which is irresponsible on your behalf.

  • @OneFootedAce Well I would take him to the vet if my parents let me, but they're working all the time and have no time to take me to see a vet. I'm only 13 but very mature for my age, and I'll be getting a job at Publix when I'm 14, but for now, I already started the beginning process of force feeding since its already the matter of life and death.

  • awww cute gecko im getting one for my birthday and im just trying to find ways and things to feed it when i get it

  • Help please i bought my baby leo at petsmart (sadly no other place to buy them from here) and he eats only when im asleep i know this b/c i set up a camera to see and he ate at 3 so i was wondering he doesnt seem intrested in his food like at 7-10pm when im awake so what should i do i really want to see him eat -.-

  • @pelion222 Stay up later? lol..not much i can really help you with here, Nothing wrong with your gecko, he's eating so its all good....

  • @OneFootedAce let him get used to his environment before you try to feed him.. usually about 48 hours

  • can you tell whats wrong with my leopard gecko.? pleases help heres a youtube.com/watch?v=KmxChhbRDzw

  • Could i feed this to a blue bellied fence lizard? It isn't eating and i think it is about to die. Please respond quickly.

  • @77guacamole As far as im concerned yes. I dont have any experience with them to know much, but by the sounds of it, it doesnt sound like it would hurt. Best of luck.

  • Can i feed this to a blue bellied fence lizard? It is not eating and i think it will die.

  • isnt it ''Slushy''

  • @Dawn18war Call it what you wish, but Slurry is not a typo.

  • I can't see description, and it is hard to decipher what you are saying for ingredients. I have a very sick gecko who cannot eat cause his tongue is swollen. Can you please give me a list of ingredients asap please. thanks

  • @wesley4006 PM sent :) Goodluck!

  • can someone send me the list of stuff i need to make this slurry, i cant seem to find the list on here. i have saved video but cant find list. im gecko is just all bone and skin not fat at all, she has no tail. i got given 3, one male 2 females, i have 1 male and 1 female left, my female is on deaths door. the person i got them off did not have any idea of how to look after them. so please please send me the list. thank you

  • @baldielocks2002 You mean you cant see it in the description?

I'll send you a message with the list.

  • @Muzzlethetruth Thats fantastic news! I'm so happy to hear that Zelda is back on track and packin on the grams! :)

  • @OneFootedAce my gecko refuses to lick or open her mouth to get the stuff in her. any ideas?

  • @LpJunior537 You have to drop one drop at a time on her nose (be careful of her nostrils), she should lick it up from there...

  • I made some of this slurry stuff..but forgot about it and left it in room temp in a container with closed lid. It got all moldy ..and i see clump of black thing floating on the surface. i'm guessing this is the reason why i should keep it in the fridge? my mixture was a bit more liquidy..though.

  • @Longmachao ahaha yeah you need to keep it in the freezer, then thaw it out when you want to use it.

  • Thanks man for uploading, took almost a month but Aba is back on track :D I saw her actually have interest on her supers a couple of days ago and I FINALLY saw her eating one yesterday! Shes almost back to her original weight and is doing good. I'm so glad shes back to eating on her own :) I almost lost hope so don't lose hope people! Your gecko will get back on track if you fight along with her :)

  • @TheProphet6661 Good to hear! Glad I could be of help.

  • thanks dude...i hope this works...my 5 year old female leopard gecko hasnt been eating, and i've read about these slurrys...so wish me luck

  • @TheSunkenFURY Best of luck to ya!

  • @OneFootedAce ty...getting the stuff 2morrow

  • ...so I had 2 geckos who didnt want to eat and they became quite skinny for what they used to be.. Well, I made the slurry to try to get them back to normal weight. Aba ate quite well but Molly (the skinnier gecko) didnt want to very much. Well, in the 3 feeding, Aba gained a little weight but Molly has passed away soon after the 3rd feeding (right now)... I guess she was too weak and wished I couldve done this sooner. Im quite sad and this has taught me to be more worried and aware. RIP Molls..

  • will any type of calcium powder do?

  • @geckosandreps1 Yup. Anything reptile calcium powder will be good. (WITH D3)

  • Whats the WARNING ?

  • can they eat ham. instead of bugs

  • @geniousdeeson no. Do not feed your gecko ham. Insects are a must when it comes to geckos and many other reptiles.

  • @geniousdeeson omg lol

  • Good job on the video! I would like to add a disclaimer. This slurry was developed to provide nourishment for anorexic geckos while they are being treated by a qualified veterinarian, or to facilitate a stool sample to be examined by a vet. My slurry will NOT cure anything, and should not be used to fatten up geckos.

    Thank you,

    Marcia McGuiness

    Golden Gate Geckos

  • if your take isnt hot enough there metabolisium slows down and they dont eat much that is the main reason other reasons are health problems

  • Once the slurry is made, how often do should one feed it to the gecko? How does one transition back to feeding it normal food?

  • You should be feeding the slurry 2 times a day. And you can just try every once in a while, introducing some normal food and see if he/she will take it. It takes patience, but it should help to provide a stool sample if needed for the vet, and get the gecko back to its normal feeding schedual.

  • Cool. Does this work without Hill's A/D pet food as well as it might with it? And without it, did it work to get your gecko back on track?

  • yes, it works fine without it.

  • You only have to turn the blender on backwards, so the slurry turns back to normal food...

  • disregard my previous comment but can i use 1 handfule of super worms instead of 2-3 o mealworms

  • I dont see a problem with doing that. Just make sure you've got enough supers in it.

  • hey mate, Im really interested in trying out your slurry, All of your ingredients are americanised and therefor have different names to what the british use [I am from england], Would you be able to see if any of the items you are using have different names for the uk, because i have never heard of some of the stuff like Incher and AVD pet food.

  • I meant Ensure.

  • just looked, dont think she is ovulating... Also is there anything else i can use in place of the hills a/d food because i cant seem to findd any

  • got a shipment of 3 adult leos about 1.5months ago. they were maintained on meal worms but didnt take the ones i left so 2 of them are taking wax worms from my hand every 1-2 days but the third is not eating. should i try this on her? (she lost about 2-3 grams)

  • First I would check if she's ovulating. Since breeding season is here, many females have started to ovulate. To check this, look on her stomach and see if you can see a pink dot (or two sometimes) the size of an eraser on a pencil. If it doesnt look like she's ovulating, Id give her another week or two then give her this.

  • lol thats funny!!! lol have you heard of the Fluker's insectivore emergency food?! is that okay ?! I rescued this leo two days ago - posted pix on reptile forums .. and shes not eating - she has her vet appt tomorrow and i need a stool sample!!! do you think that would be good enough (the flukers stuff)

  • Never heard of it sorry. I generally try to stay away from that stuff cause you truly never know whats in it. But try asking around on forums about that, cause i have no experience with it, so i dont want to give you advice without the proper experience with that product.

  • and how does your mom feel a bout you putting mealies in her blender :P lol

  • LOL, surprsingly she didn't care as long as I washed it after :D

  • for the A/D pet food does it matter if its for dogs or cats?!

  • Not sure on that...I wouldnt think it matters, but Im not sure.

  • nice video man realy helpfull not for me becaus emines eat fine but i told my friend about this and it worked fine thanks alot man

  • No problem, Hope your friends gecko is okay.

  • you know this could work for a bearded dragon too and sugar gliders great video man!

  • Thank you!

  • My leo isn't eating. Its been about a week since i got Him/Her ( dont wat she is. she/he wont let me grab her) and she/he is not eating. i think she/he already adjusted. Wat can i do.

  • 1 week is completely normal, it should be okay, s/he probably haasnt adjusted yet, it takes time :)

  • Comment removed

  • my gecko hasnt eaten for 3 weeks.Should i be worried?

  • It depends. I can help you out further if you answer some questions. How healthy is your leo? is it a female? what are the temps in your enclosure? does it look like he or she is about to shed?

  • Good vid dude!

  • Thanks man!

  • Did you use Hill's A/D in ur slurry?

Also can you maybe put the price of each item b/c i plan on using it to feed my gecko.

  • no i didnt use Hill's, i couldnt seem to find it lol.

Im not exactly sure what i paid, but i didnt remember paying more than like 25$ (not including mealworms, cause i already had them)

  • hey you play hockey? well my gecko has not been eating for 3 day i am kinda worried

  • 3 days isnt that much i wouldnt worry yet...how old is your leo?

  • she is around 8 months i think it might be because of her sheding

  • probably is, dont be worried 3 days is nothing, i had to go through 1 month and a half :)

  • how long should you keep your gecko on this cause i have been feeding to my gecko

  • you should probably still try to feed mealworms, but once she starts eating the mealies again, it should be fine...

  • my gecko is not eating the slurry and when he does he throughs it up what should i do

  • how long has he/she stopped eating? cause it sounds like you should go to the vet

  • it has stoped eating for around a month

  • i think you should look into going to the vet especially if shes not takin the slurry, i suggest taking a fecal sample as well.

  • i gonna need to do this my baby leo is not eating i had to seperate him from my female adult and as if now i am cut up meals and squirting the guts in his mouth i will try this for sure

  • that is very helpful! I might make this for my Mina, she hasn't been eating at all as of late.

  • good luck!

  • I think you should note that this recipe was made by Golden Gate Geckos... thats copyright violation ;)

  • o right almost forgot bout that thanks nigel :O)

  • Awesome 5* Really helpful and informative vid!

  • great vid :) looks interesting. i was wondering why you were making so much. but then you mentiond putting it in the freeza and stuff :) hope she eats and stuff :)

  • yeah, this stuff lasts for ever! she already had some which i was happy about, so hopefully she'll get back on those worms!

  • yup :) good luck

  • "drug stores" haha
