How do you change your clothing discreetly in your car? I plan on breastfeeding and I will probably have to go out to my car to pump throughout the day while I am at work.
Great idea! My only concern would be your seatbelt. Are you able to wear your seatbelt properly while pumping and driving? I ALWAYS wear my belt when the car is moving- I was in a wreck once that I walked away from that if I hadn't been wearing my seatbelt I would've been seriously hurt or worse, so that's pretty important for me lol. We are TTC now and I am really wanting to breastfeed when the time comes :)

For my state, I am not protected but there is the new federal law that allows a working mom to pump at work...etc. I am curious as to how you went about this with your employer and what steps you had to take to get where you are now and how did your work handle this.
I got the shelf bra tank top idea from you! It was great. But I got sick of changing my tops in the car or where ever i was. So I cut holes in a sports bra :D I use nursing pads (Johnson rock!) to cover the holes. The only downside of doing that is if you wear a tight top you can notice where the holes are so I just layer & wear a light sweater. It's really simple & all I have to do is lift my top & cover up with a nursing cover.
I am a mum of a 10month old boy. I must say that your vids are very helpful for breastfeeding mums. Unfortunately my milk was starving my son so I put him to soy formula at 3 weeks. Wont look back he is already almost 12kgs. I did watch your earlier vids on your other channel when you had Deacon and really tried to feed Riley but my milk was no good. I am very proud and happy for you that you are continuing to breastfeed. If that is what u want then u deserve all the support. Congrats honey

This is probably a really silly question but do you get a 'pulling' sensation? Is the pump left dangling in which case do you need to make sure you get a good suction first? I struggle with pumping and find it a little uncomfortable. I have an AVENT pump. Maybe it's the type I have as I can't imagine I'd be able to do it handsfree without it hurting. Did you ever have this problem. Great vid by the way!
@kimberleyrobin I haven't... but then again when the bottles get really full I would just lean over with them. But that was in the morning... not during the day (whie driving)... I can see what you mean though. Have you tried pumping with a different sized shield?
@CandidMommy I never thought to do that. I think a problem might actually be the pump though. I was never that taken with the AVENT and prob should have tried a different one before now. My son's almost one and he's just started naturally dropping feeds. I go back to work in a few weeks (I was lucky to have had a yr off) so I will see how he goes without milk in the day and as many breastfeeds as he wants in the evening/night. It's good to know for the next one. I will try pumping again then!
Is that the shrine aqua one? I really like that color. I have 2 other bebe au lait covers but I am really big on blue/aqua colors...& I never saw that one :) Thanks

Omg I love the nursing cover idea!! I would ALWAYS pump in the car in the passenger seat and I always had a hard time being discrete about it. I always tried to use a baby blanket or something. I have gotten a few odd stares when I haven't been covered well enough LOL. I will definitely put ur tips to practice whenever we decide to have baby number 2 : )
I think that is totally awesome but since I am not breastfeeding yet (baby is due in December) I am a little hesitant to think that I would do that... However, once I am in that mode, I may end up making myself a two slit tank top ;) haha

It takes me 30-40 minutes to get to work! I'm currently TTC. But I am sooo determined to BF too! This is something I am really going to have to try because, as a teacher, I'm usually really busy during morning AND lunch recess. So it may be where pumping and driving may be my only option LOL

Such a great idea! I wish I had a double pump. My single has the motor on the top of the pump so its too top heavy to do something like this sucesfully.

@xoxomomto3xoxo BOTTLES! lol... I pumped into bags in the beginning but the Medela bag are NOT my favorite... and they're expensive!!! So I would pump into the bottles and then pour into bags.
@armygirl821 Just keep pumping! But naturally you will produce differnt amounts on each side as the baby (or you) may favor one. I always produced much more on my right...
why don't you actually drive the car and give a live example ? ! it's not hard

Great idea! My only concern would be your seatbelt. Are you able to wear your seatbelt properly while pumping and driving? I ALWAYS wear my belt when the car is moving- I was in a wreck once that I walked away from that if I hadn't been wearing my seatbelt I would've been seriously hurt or worse, so that's pretty important for me lol. We are TTC now and I am really wanting to breastfeed when the time comes :)
