  • Thirty Minutes! Lol

  • I have an 84 pontiac bonneville.. Im replacing two window motors. I'm no mechanic but Im handy and do a lot of my stuff myself.. The motors in this video look exactly the same as mine. I was just wondering if I can do it the same way?

  • @Yummygirl2

No idea; I've never worked on one. I'm assuming it would be similar but don't take my word for it.

  • Later on down the road those bolts and nuts will walk out. This is why rivots are used.

  • @MustangFan424

10,000 miles so far without any trouble! :D

  • @MustangFan424

  • @ratfinkzak

  • Hey buddy do u know any video of how to align the rear window for a camaro 86?

  • @jsting23

No idea lol. My car doesn't have the big glass hatchback since it's a convertible. try thirdgen (dot) org though.

  • it really works i did it all by myself in less that 30 min , just one thing if no one is helping you put some tape behind the motor holding the nuts and you can just screw more easy

  • @jsting23

    you got the right idea!

  • thanks dudeman,

huge help!! i wuz ponderin whether to pay someone to do this when i read the manuals directions, tried it your way and had it done in less than an hour. thanks again, jr

  • @greasybilly27

    No problem!

And an update, I've driven the car for at least 4000 miles after I have done this and the window still works like new. :)

  • Okay. Thanks!

  • Where should i get a window motor? Ebay??

  • Thanks bro!! I need to replace the motor. Like that sil er thing u have in your door. What does that hook up to. Like the power source. I am a new to this car restoring stuff. So im trying to get advice. Im restoring my 91 camaro rs. I will start posting vids soon. And thanks again.

  • @MrTru007

Oh for the power source... there's just a plug that goes directly into the window motor, you can't miss it. And yeah you can try ebay; that's where I got my window motor. just make sure you type in the right vehicle (91 camaro). Good luck!

  • Nice video man. I just bought my 91 camaro 2 day. And need to replace both motor windows on both sides. So what do u plug in dat motor at.

  • @MrTru007

Good job on the purchase.... but I don't really understand the question.

  • im not gona but ive been looking how to do it on line so im just gona try it

  • my motor looks the same so i think that it will be similar in taking it out

  • @nick98camaro

Do what you want.... just don't blame me if something goes wrong.

  • i have a 98 camaro and im in the process of replacing my window motor but havent drilled out the rivits but where is the spring and will it fall out by just drilling out the rivits and pulling the motor out?

  • @nick98camaro

Sorry man I don't know anything about the 4th gens (93-02), this just applies to the 3rd gens (82-92). But if it helps, I didn't have to deal with any spring when I did this one. I just drilled those 3 rivets out and only the window motor popped out. But the process might be different on a newer car like yours.
