No Bro, I don't know what You mean! You saying Reggae is harmonically too simple shows me You know nothing about Jamaican music at all !!!!!! Educate Yourself and open Your mind and heart!!
I really think the blues is his stuff. He got the virtuosity to play swing, westcoast, jump blues, even jazz. Excuse me, but reggae is harmonic too simple. Rusty, get back to the main thing, you know what I mean.
in addition to wicked guitar skills this guy can really sing. he released a killer blues album called "The Chill". I'm usually not into reggae but I can dig this
This is one of the best songs I've ever heard!! I love the message of it! Reggae, Blues, Rock! Genre be damed.....It's just good music!! I'm proud of you Rusty!!
esuterik: please define origonal for all of us....music is communication and hes speaking to us...and who asked ya what style u think is dead...this is not a compitition dude...its art my artists....so basically grow up and go away ur vexing our vibe here man..........
I am familiar with Rusty Zinn as a bluesman.. I was a little skeptical of him doing reggae but this sounds pretty good to me.. the vocals are heartfelt and the guitar is good
esuterik, in order to have "sold out" wouldn't that technically mean that Rusty would be making huge amounts of money playing Reggae? I guess you don't know much about Reggae either. Just like many forms of Roots music it is alive and vibrant! Maybe You just don't dig Reggae!
esuterik -- Reggae is more alive than the blues, which is mostly a dead art form, as the culture which spawned the blues is pretty much a memory now, and 90% of modern performers of blues are white. As for Rusy selling out, you must be joking, there is more money in "blues" gigs by far that in roots reggae music.
It's true that Elvis was listening to Afro American rhythm and blues singers (and also to country western music) to begin his influences, but ska (and later reggae) had origins earlier than the mid 1950's but did NOT exist as a popular music style until after Elvis was world famous. Check your history, my friend. I know that your sentiment is good but you got to get your facts straight before you diss someone online. Peace!
This is the real thing..I dig the sincerity and the logic of the song and the singer...the guitar is awesom and true to the tune...what more can you ask for!!!! five bottles
I'm friends w/Rusty & a reggae musician myself and you're straight up full of $#!+, blues & rock (& Elvis too)were around long before reggae or even ska...if there were no rock or blues, there would be no Tosh, Marley, etc...
Great song!!

Actually, MK4bora28l,
it is you who needs to do his research.
