@MDMCIII Yeah the LT1 5.7 V8. That was made available for the B body wagons and sedans in 94. This car has the L05 5.7 V8 which was an optional upgrade from the standard L03 5.0 V8. This engine puts out 180 hp and 300 ft-lbs of torque while the Corvette LT1 put out 260 hp and 335 ft lbs of torque. The standard 5.0 was rated at 170 hp and 255 ft-lbs of torque so this engine is even quite a bit better than that one. LT1 is a better engine out of the 3 combined with better trans & looks different.
Kyle I sent this video to my uncle towards the end of his life. He was batteling pancreatic cancer and he loved Buick Roadmasters. I think he owned like 2 in his lifetime. He passed it down to his step-son, who still drives it. Watching a video of a Roadmaster makes me think of my uncle and bring a tear to my eye. He will always be missed. Thanks for making this video and for helping lift his spirits, when I shared this with him :)
I was wondering if the third seat held three or just had room for two? If it has seats three, I am going to tell my mother to trade our 2011 Chevrolet Suburban for one of these. They will get better MPGs for sure!
@IanTC12 those old Chevrolet 350's all tend to have that "rattle" sound to them.... My '93 Roadmaster has that same sound... I had a '91 Caprice with the 305 and another Roadmaster with the 350 (both had that same sound)... Even lower mileage ones tend to do that when the engine is cold... That engine (along with the sister 305) dates back to 1968 - very old school...
Good review but you missed a few features. You didn't show how both back seats lie completely down to be used for hauling. That's a great feature, and you missed it! I have this car and it comes in handy!
my grandparents had a 94 i like it . i also like there 87 suburban and maybe 83 cadillac seville. man they had big cars. the car they had was equiped with red velvet interior. has a bose sound system
I had a '92 Roadmaster Estate Wagon with the TBI 350. It was dark blue and I loved it. About two years ago four trees fell on it and and a '92 Grand Prix I had. Mother Nature didn't like my car as much as I did apparently.
@toyota4life94 I wasn't to crazy about the new styling either, it was too compact, a true wagon is full size luxury haha, and I think Buick accomplished that well.
@toyota4life94 I did watch that, and it was great to see how well it held up through all the tests( though they pretty well beat the car up.) Maybe, just maybe, wagons will make a come back!
vette engine, good acceleration, vista sunroof, rear wheel drive, comfortable ride, plush seats, 8 seater.... they dont make cars like they used to.....
you seem to mess around with the radios more in your older videos, we cant hear the same quality of sound over computer speakers what you're hearing inside the car
i love this car, but theyre very rare now a days, people like this new plastic stuff they come out with, which is ok too, but this is true american muscle.
Something that's not apparent in the video is how absurdly wide these cars are in person. It's the perfect long-haul cruiser, big enough to ride nice, new enough to be reliable and have a good availability of parts on the road.
Saabkyle bro, I really really love your videos!! I haven't seen vids like these anywhere else!! I've always been curious about all sorts of different vehicles made in all sorts of different countries, how they sound, how they look like even, maybe I've seen an imported vehicle that's rare here and I wonder how the interior looks or what engine it's got, and here's a database of maybe all the vehicles in the world! I don't have to look any further, if I want to know about a certain vehicle...

US cars are awsome but it´s difficult to own one here in germany, they are much more expensive than in the states, the car taxes for big engines are high, and the fuel is expensive:(
dont see too many of these, the older cars are more reliable, due to the fact they dont have as many sensors, and electrical parts that fail like the new ones, although i love some of the new cars!
Awsome car, at 5:01 that is Billie Jean right? The middle school 8th grade band is playing that in a concert on the 25th, But I love those roadmasters. I want to get one, make it a street legal drag car, and call it the Stealth Buick!
kyle i gotta say i am impressed with your videos lately i always wanted to see older cars not new cars or lambos etc so you have impressed me with your channel keep up the good work and awesome roadmaster too!!!
i wish they still made full sized RWD wagons too. there is nothing more American than a big old station wagon. I like them more than suvs and a hell of a lot more than minivans. Ford still makes the crown vic and the grand marquis on the panther platform used since 1979. They could still make wagons off of them if they wanted to.
nice looking wagon... I always thought it would feel wierd to ride "backward" for a very long distance in a station wagon.... ford had seats that faced each other which (to me) would seem to be a better deal for riding very far...
there is a house down the street from me that has three of these in their driveway; one is a oldsmobile, one is a buick, and the other is a chevrolet. Two of them are in pretty rusty shape, but the other one looks pretty good.... there is always oil dripping down the driveway though haha.
Pretty badass car, a car from an extinct car era. You never seem to see any wagons nowadays. Think about the fate that the wagon offered by GM nowadays is the Cadillac CTS Sportswagon.
@yanni6556 it was always available as an option or standard on US station wagons with the exception of the Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable, til wagons were phased out with GM's B-bodies in 1996 (Caprice/Roadmaster/Custom Cruiser)

People make fun of these wagons, but now there becoming something that the American automakers don't make anymore which makes them classic.
This one would look pretty slick if it was lowered and had some hard 5 spoke chrome rims.
