We have freedom of religion, and freedom of association, and as an atheist I think it's wrong for Christians to mock and degrade Scientology, and yes technically it's a cult, but Christianity was once a cult, so was Islam, so was Judaism, what I'm trying to figure out is, why all the hate, practice at home and not an anti-gay rally, because in the eyes of 23.5% of American's, you're all cults. @cmdrkoenig67 creed pearson said it best in his ranting on here. hubbard was more than unethical i'd say just straight out insane, his whole anti-psychiatry crap was because he needed it. all forms of medical care had their dark side in the past; epileptics were often taken to exorcists due to thinking the person in a gran mal siezure was possessed and some died due to how exorcisms were performed.

Hollywood director Paul Haggis quit the cult recently, and he cited Scientology's opposition to gay marriage as a prime reason. But surely Haggis, who was in the cult for decades, knew long before 2009 that Scientology was anti-gay. Nothing new there.
