  • I just found you the other day looking for a recipe for Rueben Dip. I am home on a 6 week sick leave and have to be still for now. Not easy thing for me to do, Anyway, I love love love your videos! I have watched over 50 so far. By the time I heal, my goal is to watch all 382 videos! You are fabulous! Thanks for the smiles!

    Pam

  • @pamschall Hi Pam! Hope you feel better soon :) All 382? :) Wow :) You might skip a few, some are up for Nostalgia :) See you around real soon... thinking good thoughts for you... Love, Jolene

  • @xXxMizchellexXx I actually predate Paula Deen in the Entertainment World :)

  • @JoleneSugarbaker You are awesome!! I love this show!!

  • Jolene: Have you ever heard of Shipwreck hot dish before?

If you haven't look up the recipe it is so heart healthy and delicious.

    It's very easy to make.

    I love you,

  • Jolene I live in England and I love your videos and a;; your ideas xxxx

  • My kids have loved this for years. My husband wants me to "retire" the recipe because he's eaten so much of it. But I make it like this:

I use fresh chicken, cubed, and fresh broccoli (steamed in the microwave).

I use two cans of soup, and add the cheese to the soup mixture. I also use mayo.

I put more cheese on top, and I serve it over rice or noodles.

    Thanks Jolene!!!!

  • That looks yummy! You're right about recipes changing as it gets passed down. I make mine with real chicken, fresh broccoli, white sauce and pepper jack cheese. Sometimes I steam zuccini or cook white beans, give them a whirl in the food processor, then add. I like to eat my chicken divan inside crepes with some sauce drizzled over. Is that too fancy?

  • Casseroles are the best to hide and make any leftovers great. Add a boot, mince the laces, garlic, salt, pepper, and cheese. This one is way better :)

  • I add a 1/2 cup sour cream to ours with 1/2 cup mayo, and occasional cauliflower. I'm going to have to try curry powder next time. Love ya, Miss Jolene!!

  • @gijoedaisy Ooooh, Cauliflower sounds good! Caution! If you add curry powder, better love it... drastically changes the taste of this dish.....also reacts with the lemon juice.... I like it with Curry....

  • this looks great, ive never tried it before, will be making this for sure! love your videos look forward to more videos

  • I meant wardrobe

  • Looks yummy!

  • Here is a little technical tip the lighting level in the kitchen is constant but the camera's light meter is getting confused by your white sweater. This is due to the auto exposure feature, to keep the background from changing exposure put the camera in the Manual exposure mode problem solved.

  • @ke4uyp Thanks :) I can't find my book that says how to do that, and wanted to film... will find and fix it next time :)

  • Your little yellow butterfly on the left was distracting me LOL

  • @pouncer28 You're the first person to notice ;)

  • We love chicken divan in our house. You are right though, for as many ways as there are to make chicken divan, there are cooks making chicken divan. Everyone does it differently. Thanks for sharing. Love to see what you have to share. Noreen : )

  • i bet sweetcorn or green peas would be great in the Casserole

  • @Umi10 I love to serve it with a side of Mexi-Corn :)

  • Dukes mayo RULES!

  • @sweety2pooh It sure does :) I love it in Potato Salad ;)

  • Jolene is back! Yeah!

  • @MyChefGreg I did see that coupon :) But Kikkoman has been a sponsor of The Taste Awards the past few years, and I got these in a Swag Bag :)
