  • the problem is the modern american church. It started when the native americans were forced from their land and we covered the sacred land with concrete plastic and glass. The power of the gospel is an illusion. Maybe if god would actually answer prayer we wouldnt be having these problems.

  • Amen.

  • I think you are great Dr. Brown. Watching your debates with S. Boteach has given me great examples of how to answer questions that I may not have known how to answer otherwise. Dr. Brown, look into the life of Edith Stein.....see what she did and what happened to her after her conversion.

  • I really like Michael, I read his book Go And Sin No More... it was awesome! it is totally truthful and pulls no punches. Want something meaty? This is definetley the book.

  • Your words is a add on of what I am to do. I can see now the true Church of Jesus and it don't happen on Sunday ! The Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday about the Year of 300 by the Roman Government and so called one of the first Popes of that time ! I just can't go to church on Sunday when I know it is not the Sabbath ! Jesus will tell me what to do,but till then i will just keep asking !

Oh, To you Sunday is not the Sabbath and Saturday is ! Read up on it !

  • If the church was not compromised it would be a threat to the world system of satan and christians would be persecuted. Jesus doesnt promise you a prosperity but persecution because of his name.

  • What Mike is essentially saying here is that the church has lost it's reverent fear of God. Entirely too many professing Christians think of God in terms of Him being a toothless, gray haired Grandpa sitting in a rocking chair who smiles on approvingly. That is a horrible mistake, in my opinion. We are close to slipping entirely out from under God's favor as a nation this very hour. Heed the warning to the Laodecians.

  • @foreveralive What is missing is the power of the Holy Spirit. without it you can not do the lords work. to many churches leave this out cause they them self don't understand it.

I don't think God is going to let the world slip away. he seems to always raise a people up that will speck the truth. people too seem to know when they see the real thing as well.

  • We are in the 7TH light phase and it is just a glimmer, soon the Stars will fall and People will ask more and more questions . Read 2nd book Timothy chapter 3 it is like a present day news broadcast, The latter days are here and the Gentile rule over Jerusalem ended as Prophesied by Daniel in 1917. Get ready Please open your heart and let Jesus in Rev 3:20.

  • In addition, "who am I to judge" is very Biblical. I dunno why Dr. Brown sees it as an impediment. "Judge not lest ye not be judged" was what Jesus taught.

  • I like Dr. Brown very much but I have to disagree on an issue here. Jesus was indeed "one of the guys." He spent most of his time in the company of sinners. He dined with them even. This was so outrageous that the Pharisees condemned Him for it.

  • Great message brother. You hit the nail on the head! Right on!

  • dr brown i understand your point on not watering down the gospel and making it sensitized for all..but you dont follow your own advice in your interview with shmulley where you said " i am not talking bad about the talmud" and you indirectly spoke of it as a credible text when clearly its is heresy .

  • Why is the Talmud heresy? O_o

  • AMEN

    Dr. Brown!

  • Reformed theology and it's recovery by the Church at large is the solution. :)

  • The doctrines of man are not the solution.

2 Chron 7:14. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

  • I know, that's the problem. I agree. The doctrines of man are not the solution, however, the doctrines of God are the answer along with the other scriptural doctrines as in Reformed theology. I would like to suggest reading "What Is Reformed Theology?" by R.C. Sproul and "Calvinism in The Light of Scripture" by Duane Spencer.

  • I have read of the Calvinist theology, sir. I am convinced that in order to believe Calvinism, one must leave the simplicity of scripture and open their minds to the doctrines of man. Here you present me with two books written by men interpreting scripture rather than taking the scripture at face value. If I need a man-written book of doctrine to teach me how to read Calvinism into scripture, I prefer to take God's word at face value and allow the Holy Spirit to teach me. Thank you.

  • I have read Calvinist theology too sir and am continuing to do so for to learn of Calvinist theology one must study long and take a good, long and hard look at just what it teaches exactly which is what the modern church to a large extent is unwilling to do. We live in an anti-intellectual age which has also crept into the church making it easy for manmade doctrines that do not require thinking to grow and flourish. Calvinism is biblical theology. They were written by man but came from God.

  • But is that not the same cry of Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists, and other such doctrines? I can not accept that I need any book other than the word of God from which to learn truth and pure doctrine. I have heard the case for Calvinism from men who I respect and believe to be Godly men, but I do not accept that it is biblical. I believe that in order to get Calvinism from scripture, one must read it while presupposing the doctrine's truth. I can not accept this.

  • @edensflow Mormonism, JW's, SDA's, etc. have nothing whatsoever to do with Christianity. This is not a valid argument. I am not saying that you must receive other books with the same authority as the Bible, that's silly. What I am saying however is that men of God are gifted in this way to help us understand what we read. You can accept and read the Bible only but you will be spiritually stunted of course not to mention arrogant. What about a Bible Dictionary? Bible Customs? Bible Maps?

  • It is valid, sir. One false 'Christian' doctrine is no different than another. What you are telling me is that I will be stunted if I don't find a 'gifted' man to tell me what context to read the word in. If you are reliant on a man for this, what makes you so sure that he is interpreting it correctly? If you cannot discern scriptural doctrine without a man's help, how can you discern a doctrinally sound man from an undoctrinally sound man? I only wish for a logical discussion.

  • Everyone has a problem with him because they have a problem with the truth.

  • That is soooooo funny !!!

  • eazy-e said it better in "first power"

  • you can check that here on youtube

  • AMEN!!!

  • Michael Brown is one of my 3 favorite preachers, the other two are Paul Washer and John Macarthur. They're the most biblical preacher I've ever known. God bless Mike Brown

  • yikes, isn't that a doctrinal nightmare for you?

  • I'll have to check out your other two. Mine are Michael Brown, Perry Stone, and Michael Rood.

  • Right on!!!

  • AMEN!

  • I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEE Michael L. Brown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He rocks!!!!!! May God cover him and protect him and preserve him through the end. Thank you Lord for this man and the work you are doing in Him! We are blessed to have such a vessel among us.

  • Me too, i've read many of his articles and he is really wise and strong in the truth. May the Lord's peace be upon this man!!

  • is he reformed

  • no, He's not part of the reformed movement He doesn't teach "God hates the sinner"
