@Bloodwrath9650 Never read the books, but how could one hate Maiden? Huh? What? Maiden were well worth delving into! I would suggest giving them a long listen and assess the fact that all their songs had deep, historical backgrounds and that's WHY they did a song based off of Dune. They told stories unlike any other metal band, and that's why they have lasting power. They are timeless. And as musicians, they were technically brilliant and unmatched in sheer quality. UNMATCHED!

@kajzergagi Eddie was the name of Steve's son who he accidentally pushed out his apartment window to his death. He named their mascot after him. Maiden's early drummer, Rikki Rocket, quit the band because of Steve's heroine habit and gay advances. Bet you plonkers didn't know that shit!

okay,i hate to be the fuck'n smart ass here but c'mon "show"? Dune is a famous literary franchise which they made a few shitty movies and tv series off of. The most common explanation for Frank Herbert (author) not allowing Maiden to use the title Dune lies in the fact that heavy metal as a whole was not regarded "tasteful" to the masses in those sad Reagan-esque days & he feared a backlash, plain & simple. The guy is from the old school after all. Up the irons & down with ignorance.

@thewill2pwr And Iron Maiden were at the core of the PMRC battle with their outlandishly "Satanic" and VERY dark-themed album covers. I remember the days well when Ozzy would NEVER, EVER, E-V-E-R be played on mainstream radio and Iron Maiden were the most "Satanic" band around. Funny how those who chastised them never once listened to words contained within the albums, with their dozens of tasteful references to God and the "Holy" ways... Never did they desecrate the faith!
