I wonder what causes the barrier to load faster for you. That fight with the Archers and Minotaurs should have been skippable.

Perhaps (if it loads too fast) a High Jump could reach the upper level..but I doubt he'd grab the ledge..

are you using fat psp? i've probably try to skip this battle 30 times but no good. it takes 3 fast rolls to get stairs from the door i came in. barrier always comes up while i am in 3rd roll motion and blocks it. and that's being lastest. sometimes barrier comes up during 1st or 2nd roll motions. i don't think this skip works on slim psp(2001).

When I first played I was. I now have the slim but because I don't have a memory stick, the game freezes before I get that far >_>

I got a chance to continue my God run up to this point recently. (not on my own stick of course since I don't have one)

Found that even if the barriers close, I can use the Archers for a High Jump leading to the upper level on either side. So this fight can still be skipped even if the barriers go up too fast. Clearly you have to get high enough to land the leap rather then hope for a ledge grab due to how CoO works.

I remember now. In the demo (lvl3 BoC), Hyperion Might (hold square) was awesome. It wasn't any stronger then a basic square hit with the Blades but it did a strong knockback in a wide arc. I liked that effect. Now it just sucks worse then it did even in GoWII.

JUST to note it...While using lvl1 BoC in God and a lvl2 Sun Shield, I did Helios' Offensive (parry to triangle) then held square and it followed up with 'Might'. It also did this for 'Flash' despite only having lvl1 Blades.

thx for the tip. i've added this to my new speed run videos. i made it under 2 hours but with this i can probably save another 70-80 seconds.

~I'll try to give proper assistance when I can. Not being able to play often/extensively is understandbly limiting how helpful I can be..I have money enough for getting it but also need an oil change for my car..I hope to get both done tomorrow
