I can't anwser the Patty involvement but I can anwser the injection , if you payed attention to

the fight she pushed the needle into Diane's arm and then attacked her , I wonder what was in the syringe though ?

I'm so confused. What I'm wondering: how exactly is Patty involved if Nikki did it?! Why all the needlepoint pillows and tormenting Nick and Ashley (which I assume was Patty's doing)? I had guessed that Patty and Deacon were working together on this. And hey, how did Diane end up getting injected if SHE was the one trying to inject Nikki? And why was there a key found in her throat? (That last one might have been explained a while ago but I forget).

so let me get this straight diane was trying to kill nikki with a syringe and trying to choke her out, so to defend herself nikki bash diane in the head 10 times. now nikki will get away with this because this will count as self defense. Good going MAB for ruining my beloved soap!
