Well, it used to be that currency was exchangeable for gold, because gold is considered to be a finite (and therefore limited) resource.

Yes, everything Parsely says here is true but it's only a part of the whole story. The Central Banking System was only taking advantage of a set of flaws in the foundational system of money. While returning the printing of money to the Congress will make great inroads to resolving our current problems, it will not totally solve the set of problems inherent in the foundational monetary system upon which the central banks operate.
What we really have here is a finite system pretending to be an infinite system. The fact that we have a transferable tender allows that finite supply of money to coagulate in the hands of a relative few while the rest of the population struggles to survive. Well, it used to be that currency was exchangeable for gold, because gold is considered to be a finite (and therefore limited) resource.
The federal reserve kind of fucked things over after that - they introduced it on a christmas eve when no opposition was in congress, which was completely illegal actually... why would you push a bill like that when nobody is around?
Hehe... i think it's self-explanatory. Regardless, currency is kind of like that by design - you exploit it and the scales go.

What was meant be "coin and regulate the value there of" was the government would set standards for how gold was weighed, melted down, and molded into coins. This was for consistency across the Federation.
Thus, people who found gold could use these standards to make currency that was recognizable by everyone.
In 1933 there were 3000 local currencies in circulation.
Remember, the volume of money was much lower because most people grew their own food. No need to purchase. :)

Clinton did not reduce the debt, he balanced the budget. The debt was still there and growing. Obama has added so much to the national debt in 100 days it's ridiculous.
If you say Obama inherited the debt, then Clinton inherited the surplus.
And the Bush administration had a Democratically controlled congress. Remember only congress can declare war, print money, makes the laws, spends the money, etc. etc.

Yes, everything Parsely says here is true but it's only a part of the whole story. The Central Banking System was only taking advantage of a set of flaws in the foundational system of money. While returning the printing of money to the Congress will make great inroads to resolving our current problems, it will not totally solve the set of problems inherent in the foundational monetary system upon which the central banks operate.

The fact that we have a transferable tender allows that finite supply of money to coagulate in the hands of a relative few while the rest of the population struggles to survive. It can be accumulated through manipulation, greed, cheating, ingenious sales tactics, and any number of non-productive means. It will always be that way unless we change things at the roots, replacing the system with something better.

His last statement is misleading. Margin calls do not occur by someones direct choice, they occur when the stock you bought on margin falls below a certain value. Could a group of people still, in essence, "call" these loans in? Sure. Big players start to sell massive amounts of stock, which to this day still leads to massive market capitulation, but saying these banks called these in is misleading. They called them in because they had to, not because it was their choice to start runs.

I wish my church is like this. Thats why Im not going to my church no more. Very, uneducated its not a church. Its a church of sheeples and uneducated people in reality!

Ronnie grew up in my home church in Kansas city KS.We called him Ronnie Joe.His father was a wounderful pastor and preacher..I haven't heard Ronnie Joe preach.His grandfather Bob Utter Was my paster when I was a child.I got save under him.
