for all those saying there shouldnt be competition in parkour, listen to what Tim Shieff says, they never started parkour because they wanted to win competetions, and they dont train parkour for competitions.... theyre just all having fun meeting fellow practitioners from around the world and have a big friendly jam.

How would I Start to leArn Parkour? I'm dedicated to learn and I'm fit. Should I learn gymnastics or can I just practice at home? And is the Kip up a good starting thing

@LukePARKOUR1 Gymnastics help with flexibility, bar techniques, tricks, etc. but if you start with that don't expect to start on flips and stuff until at least a year...

To really start off just learn the proper-way to land and roll, and then move onto vaults... And Kip-Ups, I guess, would be a good starting thing but they aren't really necessary...

um, the orginal mindset of parkour or freerunning is miles from the ones that we see today. its like parkour/freerunning have got a complete diffrent meaning. so many people falsely practise it without having any knowledge about its history or philosophy or method of training.

i dont think there are a lot of traceurs that have created so much moves on their own like tim has.. one handed handstand kong, windmillcorkscrew combo backflipfrontflip combo...thats another point ..creativity...

thats FREE running you can do what you want..

and if tim feels confident with those moves he can do the again an again..

the other freerunners were doing gainer corkscrew.. all the stuff we have seen hundred times..maybe not from the same person but tims moves are only done by him
