  • Isn't this the guy that wrote the shit songs for,"Popeye"?

    No wonder the movie tanked.

  • @castletriglav So you ask a question, and then just assume your're right and bash Harry Nilsson... rediculous.

  • @castletriglav In the words of Harry Nilsson, fuck you.

  • Thank you everyone for telling me over the last two years. Harry Nilsson died - I get it. I should have researched him before commenting . My bad, I will never comment before researching again. Thank you all.

  • @ChasBeauregarde Harry's compost and doesn't give a shit. Neither should you.

  • DiCarlo luvs Nilsson

  • i love you harry

  • Anyone ever hear the song blackbird by the beatles?

  • @rubbersoul96 who are they?

  • @rubbersoul96 Yep. It's similar sounding, and simple - except it's about Negroes in the USA gaining their civil rights in the 1960s.

  • Theyre both great songs, Nilsson in my opinion was one of the greatest singers of all time

  • a much better songwriter than john lennon.....lennon like roger waters by themselves. THEY STINK.... i write better tunes on the toilet.

  • @noodlesmealey No, you don't.

  • @noodlesmealey Whatevever.

  • @noodlesmealey have you heard the album - radio kaos - by roger waters?

  • Wikipedia says Nilsson died of heart failure a year after a massive heart attack. He was 54. Died in 94.

  • "Blackbird singing in the dead of night...:

  • Sorry, but , Harry is no more! de died of cancer a few years back..... R.I.P Harry You will be truely missed!!!:(

  • Yes this is Peter Frampton on guitar, a brilliant Nilsson track. I loved this album, but I pretty much loved all of Harry's albums.

  • Harry passed away from Cancer awhile back- Sorry Dude!!!!

  • Chas...Unfortunately Harry Nilsson died many years ago

  • A sweet song. Another song I love as much as when I first embraced it.

  • @Broblem12 -Thank you for tuning me into it…

It does spin a fine tale…

reminds, story wise, of Sting's song…

    only a sweeter spin...

  • @bv19421 Always glad to share a song, especially when I find someone to appreciate it. Thanks pal, Harry is definetly worth further exploration beyond the hits. I find hits get overplayed and I seek gems that are lesser known but amazing in some way. Blessings to you and keep in touch as you wish.

  • @Broblem12 - will send you a privite message as redkruzer bout turn on your radio after im gone…

imaginAIRiumDAHTcom ----thanx again for this great song

  • I would have paid millions to "party" with Harry just ONE night, which probably would have turned into 3-4 nights...the documentary explains a lot....I pray for his family...RIP Harry, my children know of you and your great talent! I'm 53 yrs old!

  • We miss you, dearest Harry!

  • I love this song. Beauty in simplicity. Like Randy.

  • Harry died 2 days before the 94 earthquake.

  • bonsoir harry

  • Zappa died in '93, what I sad time for music.

  • @koobysnap Frank Zappa, The only conservative in the music industry... may be rest in peace :(

  • Im pretty sure Harry died in 1993 of a heart attack. But what would i know i wasnt even born until 3 years later.

  • @xTHExANGRYxELF

Harry Died in Jan of 94....he was a good friend on mine and my Dad, I saw him the week he died right after the 94 earthquake.....sad time!

  • wow..I'm friends with Lisa, the nurse who was there with Harry all the time...and when he died. She took care of him in the last days..she told me he was very lonely in the end

  • @seifurbotu According to the film, he was hardly lonely, having six children and spending the last night of his life with his wife. Is this not accurate?

  • Hi...I'm friends with Lisa, the nurse who was there with Harry all the time...and when he died. She took care of him in the last days..she told me he was very lonely in the end..maybe you met her then

  • Turn on your record player, oh the good old days.

  • Just pulled all my Nilsson CDs and some vinyl out this morning and did a marathon listening session. He was the greatest.

  • This is a favorite song, great harmony!

  • GREAT JOB!!

  • harry and i have the same birthday. i'm soo happy haha.

  • @bela10J hei!! congratulations!! :D

  • On eof th eprettiest songs on the album. Great story. I didn;t appreciate it as a kid. I like Your Breakin My Heart better, but now that I see the simle sweetness I love it. Can't wait to hear The Most Beautiful World in the World.

  • Rest in peace Harry...you are missed.

  • The guitar has a bit of "Blackbird" in it but the overall style is more like early Tom Waits--like something off "Heart of Saturday Night." Maybe that's why I like this one so much.

  • him and john lennon were actually buddies.. peter frampton, ringo starr and a whole wack of other people performed on this album i believe..

  • beatleesque indeed.

this on guitar like blackbird, similar sound, FAntastic

  • Harry drank himself to death, so sad.

  • A truly spectacular voice. A very sad backstory, but a great sense of humor. Harry Nilsson was one of those who died young and left a great body of work behind. I just hope that future generations discover his music. There's a reason that the Beatles were into him- just listen to his songs

  • .......... : )

  • Please post "You're beak'in my heart so fuck you"

The last track on side A.

  • This song is going to be played at my funeral...hopefully a long time from now.

  • Discovered Nillson in my early youth. An older brother played his LP's and I was easily sucked in for life. Very talented and unusual. My favorite song is not posted here - You're Breakin' my Heart - although this one is very nice, I wish someone would post that one...RIP Harry! You are NOT forgotten! :-)

  • One of my favorite Nilsson songs...

As beautiful now as it was the day I first heard it.

  • True for me too....

  • I used to correspond by sending tapes back and forth (8 tracks) with a buddy of mine who lived on the West Coast. Besides talking we would improvised skits with our other friends, original music and send tunes of the day. This is one of those songs he sent me which I remember fondly. Nilsson was an amazing talent. Wonder if he still writes/sings/tours.

  • He's been dead for some time. I think it was his heart. Evidently he damaged his larynx shortly before his death, so it may have been the stress. Harry was the best!

  • @ChasBeauregarde He's been dead since '94

  • @ChasBeauregarde Harry Nillsson was unfortunately taken away from us in early 1994.

  • @ChasBeauregarde He's dead now. I think it was around 1995 but I am not sure. Either way he will be missed.

  • @ChasBeauregarde sadly he is dead...

  • @ChasBeauregarde ya he does... in heaven.

  • @ChasBeauregarde I wonder if John Lennon is still making songs. Maybe I should wikipedia that.

  • @ChasBeauregarde He's dead.

  • @ChasBeauregarde nilsson never did a tour or would sing live for a crowd...and he died in 1994 i think

  • @ChasBeauregarde He had a heart attack. I think it was in the early nineties. He's no longer with us. Ringo was one of the Pall Bearers, I think.

  • An amazing song from my youth. I didn't realize the talent I was listening to.

  • A great song from a great album.
