After playing this game for years and years and losing my temper enough to make me cry a couple of times, (It took me a long time to work out how to climb down ladders!) I ended up being able to pretty much complete it with my eyes closed!
What the f_ck is that creature underground on the first screen. This game was the shit back in the day. I have no business leaving this comment right now. Except for the fact that this game was my sh_t back in 84- even though your dude has the same-ass tight green outfit he had in pitfall 1, and is still a bitch-ass who can't defend himself for sh_t, and will easily die if touched by a f_cking canadian goose that can't fly a straight line. Stiff-ass finally learned to swim
@cdcedeno I've been waiting your answer, but I thought that you, in this period of time, would have thought about it and learned from your mistakes: pitfall could be considered a bad game just by today's standards. back in those days, it was an awesome game! it had everything people wanted from a game, and more: it was just exciting. how can you talk so rudely about a gem? i really don't understand you.
p.s. I'm just 16, and I find Pitfall 2 as good as God Of War.
@Alaska1925 My whole comment was really just a joke, and a comment about how video game characters in those days were so limited in their possible actions. This game was exceedingly fun in its day; I was just making fun of how, by today's standards, the protagonist in Pitfall II was quite uncapable of defending himself; he could only run and jump (and finally swim in part II). It is just amusing to me, in comparison to what you can do in today's video games. No offense was intended-
@cdcedeno ok, never mind. I apologize if I've been rude in my comment. in fact, what you said in your last comment is true... but what do you expect from a game when the controller used is just a stick and a button? :)
@mobobber Your screen name implies much worse about you; at least my interactions as a "douchebag" are with females. Keep bobbin', but do yourself a favor and use protection.
@mobobber okay fair enough, let's just say I was out of line taking my aggressions out on this video game character for kicks, and I apologize for being needlessly offensive. Clearly I need to get out more!
@cdcedeno Really, I can't blame you for making fun of this game, I just don't like to see people make fun of a game with good gameplay, not good graphics.
that was fucking awesome bro!!!! love that game!!!

how many tries did it take you? I've been playing it since 84 and still haven't mastered it to that level.

@Alaska1925 How very noble of you to come to the defense of a videogame character from the early 80's. Good show.

@cdcedeno To be honest, my screen name means nothing. I came up with it when I was 6 and I used it for some reason.
