how do i chasnge the sync speed in my sony a580 ? wen i mount the flash on it the sync speed sets to 1/160 and a can low it down, but i want let me go faster!! why?
if i want to me the back ground look black and the subject light i can not do it , because it want let me go faster on my shatter speed!! help
Okay, so I purchased a flash remote trigger. However, I think because its remote, the flash is not setting the exposure automatically. I have to keep changing the flash setting.
you can also use optical wireless flash triggers (cost about $10 each). I use mine on my Nikon 40d. I use my on board flash, set at 1/32 power, as the master, and the optical triggers as the slaves. They work very well indoors.
The downside are: 1. limited use outdoors in bright light and 2. will be triggered by other people using flash on their cameras.
Yes that is true however all the camera manufactrues wireles flash triger systems have two major flaw one that have short range and two is that they don't work very well in very bright out door light. So radio flash trigers like pocketwizard and other brands are in terms of range and they can work in bright day light
Thank you! I have a very part time portable studio, and am really looking for ways to improve my lighting techniques. I currently have two barn doors, continual tungstens bouncing off of reflective umbrellas, I got a stand with flash-through umbrella (just need to get the sync cord and mounting bracket for my Vivitar flash), now I am struggling to deal with background lights and gels. Sheesh, I only had photo in high school, like a million years ago. So thanks for these, a lot.
Or by a Nikon, and you won' t need a freggan Pocket wizard. Nikon has built in wireless flash. Somewhat ok tips, but she seems to be more talk. I mean the "shutters speed" I think she means shutter release. And she has a entry level camera so not so sure about this one.
I got the Yongnuo Rf-603 triggers. very cheap and reliable!

One thing I don't really like is that I can't SEE the SETUP because of the writing right in my face (Video Clip)

totally agree with the nikon tip...
although, is she not using a 5D or 5D MkII there? Either way, not an entry level camera.
