Bo Jackson is the greatest athlete that has ever walked on the planet. I know this because I played college baseball and football. Only some little cyber-geek who has never been an elite athlete would say that Bo was not awesome.
I went to McAdory from 1985 to1998 and have lived in Bessemer all my life. I met Bo several times I remember when this movie was made and i went to school with most of the kids in this movie. Bo Jackson was the greatest!
So do you always spend your free time uploading videos of people who suck.? You may not like him, but any moron (even you) can't dispute he was one of the best athletes of all time.
bo was da man. had he chosen either sport instead of both, he definately woulda been a super star. though he was way better in football, he was beginning to understand the game of baseball better and slowly was becoming a complete player. i am lucky to have seen bo play and doubt there will ever be another to dominate not only the playing field by the advertising and media as well.
bo is the man period.... sad to sa y he injured his hip cutting his career short, but before that he was the shit in basebal and football.... best natural athelete ever homey.
The studio parts are lame in this video, but I don't understand why you think Bo wasn't awesome. Did you actually see him play back in the day? He did stuff on the baseball and football field that I have not see anyone do before, or since. I once saw him hit a single up the middle against Toronto and he kept running and turned it into a double! He through a Harold Reynolds out at home plate on the fly from the warning track!
Besides Jim Thorpe, no one comes close to Bo. He is truely a sports icon and a hero for many. He is the greatest athlete of the second half of the 20th century.
I was born in '89 so i have a smidge of a memory of these. It's mostly Nike to blame, the jordan and bo commercials constantly playing would get me irked as well. On the field he was one great athletic spectacle after another...
Overall i mean, in the various sports. I think many of those heroes imploded though. I'm from Canada (Jays fan) and it ruined canseco and clemens (drugs). That's also what's great about Jackson he is never brought up in any reports, and when he was in an article, he sued for defamation. He felt his character was important enough to protect despite himself being out of sports for quite some time.
Bo was A very good athlete, He did a lot of things other Running backs couldn't do, the thing it was his down fall when he had Hip injury which ended his Nfl. As you notice he did not have a lot of season time in his book. So that one reason I believe people thanks he sucks IDK.
how wrong you are, this is the greatest athlete ever, ever, ever, ever, he is as awesome as a man can be, i grew up watching Bo at Auburn, i saw him hit a bomb against Huntington college that may be the longest home run ever, it hit the library which is probably 200 ft behind left field. The coach est. 600ft. He also won a bet at auburn when he threw a baseball from home plate over the center field fence, just a phenom. Son, U know not what u speak. He is awesome!
still my fav. there are very few athletes of any time that made u stop what u were doing 2 watch him b/c u didn't wanna miss something that was guaranteed 2 make ur jaw drop.
Bo "wasn't very awesome at all" - yet the vid shows the huge obstacles he had to overcome...to even make 18. In addition to overcoming illegitimacy, grinding poverty, an environment of rampant drugs and crime, he also had the strength of character to:
I was 13 when he joined the KC Royals, right after KC won the 85 Series. He was sooo awesome. Then he joined the Raiders... KC HATES the Raiders. He should have joined teh Chiefs. That Raiders thing added to his karma which is why he blew out his hip.
Dude, don't know what your smoking, but Bo won the Heisman in 85, not with the majors for a a couple years later, but worth your praise, the 85 series was won by Don Dienkinger (who admits, his worst mistake) worst call in World Series History, not that us in the Lou are aggravated, we have won many before and a little after.
Bo referred to himself as Bo instead of "I" because he was a stutterer. It was painful to watch him/hear him when he was a freshman at AU. They worked with him and he slowly got better but you can tell it never really went away completely.
Bo don't know Diddly, or how to heal hip injuries. He was among the top in 2 professional sports before he was severely injured. I think youtube should run extensive psychological tests to determine if a person is emo or retarded before allowing them to post. Then again that will eliminate 99% of the videos on here.
Bo Is the best are world would Bo's if so many ppl didnt do drugs on there freetime

are you nuts. bo was the man.
nfnkalyan 1 year ago
I guess it's true that he wasn't that awesome.
The only thing is, there are a couple of teensy-weensy details to consider:
4.12 in the 40, the fastest combine ever recorded.
5.4 per carry average in the NFL, which up in Sanders-Brown-Smith territory.
4 home runs in a row.
All-Star in football and baseball.
Blown out of football after only four part-time seasons, and yet here we are still talking about him.
But yeah, you're right: he twernt nuttin special.

overcome a severe stutter
play three college sports at all-star level
set college records - still unbroken
3-time All-American, Heisman Trophy
graduate college
All-Pro NFL
Major League All Star and MVP
Committed husband and father
That's awesome.
