I just got this for £83 from ebay really happy with it i am really hoping hoping they reisssue the other combiners i am currantly looking for a starscream i still have the original but it is looking its age would love to get the predacons but they are pricey

Yes, the original has much better plastic and a more accurate mold. I have some original Combaticons and they are far better than the Encore reissue.

@seekerjet yeah,i mean ive the excellent k/o version of devastator,and his excellent(die-cast metal,top quality plastic.)but this meant to be a top quality version.im so let down,im going to buy the real thing.

Awesome vid! Great stuff! You do these in such an original way from other TF reviewers I subscribe to...you just use the camera to let the toy speak for itself and play over some really cool music!

if i find the right price ill buy one but for noe it costs too much for the quality of the plastic they made it with. it still looks cool.

If you keep it in the box, the quality of the plastic isn't that important, but it's a good idea to wait a bit for the price to drop more.

if i wanted to get all the old generation one transformers from optimus prime to all the combiners how should i go about doing that any ideas?

You can get them all on eBay. Some are very hard to get because they have the reputation of being rare, even though it's quite obvious that they aren't. The prices of those items are being kept high artificially because everyone bids on them, believing that they are actually rare. Sunstreaker for instance. There are tons of Sunstreakers on eBay, yet everyone treats it as if it's rare thus, everyone outbidding each other, making it hard to win one. Same goes for Shockwave and Wheeljack.

But the number 1 reason why some are considered to be rare is because they say the mold of those specific figures are lost, which are unofficial rumors. In most cases it's just because the license was held by another company which got bankrupt. But if you have the money to spend and patience, you can get all of them on eBay.

Would you recommend this version of the combaticons?? they seem pretty cool.

if you want a brand new set of Combaticons, this set is the only affordable solution. Beware that all the Encore figures use poor plastic quality because today's toys all use cheap materials for mass production. If you want pure quality, the vintage figures are a much better choice, but they will hurt your wallet. All my Encore figures have cheap knock-off quality plastic.

But I've got to say...if you don't own any vintage Combaticons already this is still a great purchase. It's just that today they don't make things as well as 25 years ago. For a reissue, this set is awesome, don't get me wrong.

No it doesn't fall apart, but the plastic isn't as solid as the vintage Combaticons so it needs to be handled more carefully.

Hey Mike, how's things going? I have no idea which Encores will be next. I hope they'll reissue Bluestreak, Predaking and the other minibots (Seaspray, etc.). I have been on YouTube on a daily basis, but I just haven't purchased any TF for a while.

Cool which ones have you bought ? I have alot of internet troubles the last few months and i started to get really bored of it -- too much of a good thing can ruin the esque of it . Ive been doing alot of TF collecting - mainly ROTF stufff and doing 30 repaints and doing mods to them aswell i have enough to get some videos going for a while - im just about to complete the 2nd leader class Optimus repaint and upload the video -- a reissue of Bluestreak would be awsome !!

It is a cool set but i've already got a vintage Bruticus :)

One thing i do like about the encore is the fact that you can combine most of the teams weapons to give Bruticus two mighty big guns to hold for some serious firepower...which i think really suits him!!

Thanks man. I wasn't really gone from the TF scene. It was just that Encore Skywarp/Thundercracker and those Encore cassettes weren't really what I wanted so I skipped them. Since my season 1 & 2 collection is nearly complete I didn't spend much effort getting new ones. But the main reason was because I was too busy playing Street Fighter IV.
