I have an LG Blu-ray and HD DVD Drive and a Sata Cable but now I have a Caddy I found there is no Sata connection. Maybe I got the wrong one!

  • wtf 0:31 to 0:41 is porno music

  • @RoMFinishTheFight you ougtha know man! lol

  • hmm I think I watched this before.

  • What if i get one ready built 1TB For $90???...

  • Construir? lo único que haces es comprar cosas ya hechas de fabrica, montarlas y ya, no veo ninguna ciencia en ello.

  • Fuckin dush bag cock shinner get a life u nerd

  • @megaboy7776 woah!! who kicked you in the nuts!?? lol

  • I built my own 9TB HDD (3.5 inch) from scratch. I spins at 1033 RPM and has an 128 MB Cache. Next I will build a SSD, not sure how much capacity I'm gonna give it, gonna see how far I can go. In a few years I may sell it.

  • Shit I forgot not to dance on a rug before

  • tool box up there ^^^

  • the title is very misleading...

  • @ZWillis12 Ya, he should have the word "Enclosure" at the end of it.

  • will this work on my jtaged xbox 360 even thow xex menu 1.1 is not on my reguler hdd i need a big hdd because my 360 hdd is 2 small

  • @metallica123ize Yess and if you get a cheap one you might have to format it to a FAT32

  • this is stupid but could u hook this up to my 360?

  • wtf is this ... I was expecting an actual "how to build an external enclosure for a HDD"

not a "How to plug in a HDD" such a waste.

  • HAHAHA!! You said moosic videos.

  • This needed to be 7 minutes long why?

    1. Change the drive to the Master setting

    2. Put it in the enclosure

    3. Plug it in

There, I just saved everyone 7 minutes...

And btw, this is really only cost-effective if you have an old HDD lying around.

  • just go buy one...it's cheaper...

  • what kind of HD enclosure did you use?

  • very stupid =)) it will fry like frenchfries =)) fucking stupid kid

  • Nice video Thanks.

  • "exciting installation video.." lol

  • your hard drive will get very hot without coolant btw. thats why its better just to buy one.

  • this isnt custom, your buying parts and assembling them, prefabed crap

  • this is not building anything. this is buying all the components and putting them together in the dumbest way possible. does it even need a video tutorial!?!?

  • lol that case looks like a mac pro :P

  • Honestly, if your computer is on the same network and you have it config'd to share videos and music and shit then why would there be a need for an external HD, unless you can save your games on it then that would be epic, i jsut have everything stream from my pc instead of dlin stuff then transfering it to the external drive, its just complicating the process, streamline is the key word, maybe im jsut not understanding the point..please enlighten me.

  • lol nice case.... that cant stand up.. good vid tho

  • it looks like a mac pro :P

  • YOU LOOK LIKE MY FRIEND JUSTIN! LMAO!

  • when using a external hdd enclosure make sure the jumper setting is set up the way the enclosure is set up for my enclosure requires no jumpers installed .... and also this is not a "CUSTOM" enclosure if it is manufactured it is not custom, if i can have the same as you it is not custom lol... i turned aold cable box into a dual external hdd enclosure via a usb hub that is a custom enclosure....not a bad video just a misleading title.. external hdd enclosure installation would be better lol

  • muahahaha

  • hey man cool video where did you buy the hard drive and case thing and how much was it? please respond thanks

  • That is the COOLEST external hard drive I have ever seen. Looks lake a mac pro. And nice vid.

  • Cool video speedy install sweet!!!

  • will it work 4 a 360

  • looks like a mac pro =]

  • Go raibh maith agat mo chara.

  • one question...

my old pc just died, keeps on restarting b4 it gets to the login screen, and i need to grab a couple month's worth of files from its hard drive... can i just buy an enclosure, use that hd to build an external one without losing those files in it??

  • yup

  • problem tho, when i did this, every time i connect it to my other pc or my laptop, it freezes up... X.x

  • did your hard drive work fine before converting it?

  • thats what im not too sure about, cuz its from my old pc which died and keeps restarting right b4 getting to the login screen... i lost my recov cd so i cant even try and fix that machine...

  • find someone that can test it. it just may to get the memory wiped clean.

  • @redrish18

make sure your conx and make sure the jumper is set to master if its an IDE drive!

  • for the first min he just talk bull crap so just skip the first min. 1:00 click here to skip it

  • is this cheaper than just buying a regular like 500gb or 1tb external hard drive

  • yes it is alot cheaper

  • I just bought an external USB hard disk of 1 TB but the case feels too hot after half an hour of having it on. Is this normal?

  • Hard drives tend to be hot. I wouldn't worry about it... :)

    -EGP

  • @ElectronicGuineaPig now that 2 years passed you still wouldn't be worried if HDD goes hot? hmm stupid kid

  • @r3ddevill HDD is ok to get hot as long as it dosen't over heat isn't it? Coz my external one gets prity hot if its not supposed to can you help?

  • @snakev10v5 Look, there are a lot of opinions about the heat, but all i know the hotter it goes the shorter will be the HDDs life. I tell you this cause i had 2 twin 200GB hdds, 1 with a cooler mounted and 1 without since i figured the one without will not need, and after 1 year that one burned, and the one with the cooler i still have it and passed 2 years since the other 1 burned.

If u have a external HDD but not made out of a normal HDD i can give u some advices to cool it

  • @r3ddevill yeah I have a normal External HDD it gets very hot and sometimes crashes and I have to restart it.

  • @snakev10v5 replay to my email r3d_devill@yahoo.com if u want me to give u a draw of what i made for my own external driver ;)

  • You mean ver very hot or just hot? cause mine was 52 C degrees measured with HDD Sentinel software

  • @loopvega plz dont tell me its a ROCK MOBILE DISK. if it is then im sorry to say you just got ripped off.

Google "stay away from rock mobile disk"

    should be the first one

    hope this helps

  • @loopvega ya its normal

  • @loopvega I have a 1 TB external, and it stays connected 24/7, and it doesn't even get warm.

  • @loopvega how much did u buy it

  • USB is so slow by comparison to eSATA. I also have a Macbook (modded with 4GB and a 7200 RPM HD). Eventually, I'll get a MacBook with an ExpressCard/34 slot. That slot enables you to plug in the same McAlley drive with eSATA cable. But the speed will be about 6 times faster than USB. The key point: make sure any computer you trade up to has either: an eSATA port or an Expresscard/34 slot which can be used to enable eSATA

  • i found it funny when u said "lets put the face plate back on" and it was the back plate

  • Haha sorry... You get the idea though

  • @lolkid457 you must be really retarded, if you find that funny.

  • @lolkid457 O_o

  • Sweet, it looks like a mini Mac Pro haha nice stuff bro!

  • Haha Thanks Man that is why I choose it! :)

  • Mac Alley is how you would say it FYI lol. Another great video!

  • Ya I know lol thanks man...

    -Dan

  • great video man! I liked that electronicguineapig intro! haha
