  • You have to have an MBA to be an investment banker, correct?

  • If you want a realistic and inside look at a banking career, the lifestyle, challenges and opportunities then Google and read "The Banker Who Saved His Soul"

  • @EdifiedBeatz epic fail

  • This is a sales pitch guys.

  • hmmm...if math is not your strong subject, why would he go into banking?!

  • @nicolle833 Banking does not require strong mathematical skills, only Accounting jobs require numerical skills (mathematical).

  • the black bitch is hot

  • Michael ! is adorable :)

  • Capitalism for the win!

  • Good god,her lips are Huge.

  • A mate of my brother works at the investment banking HQ of a major UK bank (owned by the taxpayer) and has just been awarded a £500k bonus for 2010, despite doing nothing all year.

That’s literally nothing. His department was cut back to the extent that his function pretty much disappeared, but he was kept on to ‘manage’ some funds- & these grew massively this year simply due to market recovery. All he does is go into his office each day & read the paper…

  • @SuperTruth77 That's the life

  • Video resumes are great because it saves you time. For instance, if they don't like you, you are done. Looks are very important when it comes to making decisions per some recruiters.

  • Rahul meant 13 years ago.

  • No ivy league school = no job , Sorry. Good luck being a janitor bud,

  • @10243406 Patrick??? Patrick Bateman??? Is that you???

  • well good luck in this economy

  • Hi everyone, I'm a economics major and stuck on choosing a minor. Should I minor in finance or banking?? thank you!!

  • @MrJT181 depends which avenue you wish to pursue.

If you have a desire to enter the public sector, then economics is certainly

a good major to facilitate this. As for a minor, have you thought about

accounting, (if possible at your university)? I am completing a double

major commerce degree, specialising in accounting and finance.

Finance and banking fall within the same spectrum. I recommend consulting

people within the industry you wish to enter.

    Good Luck

  • @Kiwidawg23 , Thanks mate, for your advice. I dont like Accounting because I'm just not good at it. I enjoy economics more than any of the business majors. Is it true that economics grad can realistically attain roles similar to finance. Because half of the subjects in my major are the same as Finance?

  • @MrJT181 Your welcome. Again, your best bet it to speak with

people in the industry, and with any relevant people at your university.

There is always going to be some element of cross-over subjects, and yes

there will be employers that hire grads from both majors. In fact some employers hire graduates with science degress for investment analayst roles!

  • Oh God! I love the first guy!

  • Rahul has lived in America for only 3 years and sounds 100% American...hmmmn I suspect he made it up to sound exotic!

  • @funkymamadee11 No, most middle class Indians have a more american like accent, only Indians from a lower class of Indian society would have a typical iIndian accent and its usually the lower class Indians who feel the need to move to the US or someplace similar.

  • @funkymamadee11 He has an accent.

  • @funkymamadee11 Hahaha

  • @funkymamadee11 he couldve also been learning english in india since young..

  • @bahriboy The point is his accent sounds quite American for one who has only lived in the US for 3 years.

  • @funkymamadee11..as i said...if he was learning since young then 3 years's not much at all..considering he's been taught by americans etc (as is the case in mid east) ..theres plenty of ppl i know who've never been to america but speak with the accent because of that..yes it might not be exactly like an american..but if you go & live there for years ala this guy..then of course it'll sound natural..

  • @bahriboy, from an American? English is just the language. English has many accents and dialects just like Spanish.

  • @funkymamadee11

You're an idiot. Most successful people in India speak English. (One of India's gifts from the British Empire)

  • @graememccallum34 Why are you so daft? I said he has an American accent which is rather obvious and distinctively different to a Indian/English accent...What makes you think I am not Indian myself? Please if you cannot comprehend the mere meaning of a simple comment then dont waste space on this page! hiss!

  • @graememccallum34 and @bahriboy American is not a language...English is! I said he sounds American and not Indian i.e accents and not language

  • @graememccallum34

thats why companies from english-speaking countries have call centres and support in India ... problem is ... those poor people in India have problems calculating time, are hard pressed by their superiors and have no cultural and social awareness of things they talk about or want to sell...

  • @funkymamadee11 lol i agree

  • @funkymamadee11

Hahaha "im from like...India, yeah" *3rd gen NYer*

  • I am studying for a BSc is Physics and I was wondering what step I would need to take to become an Investment Banker?

  • Lots of advice on the web. Google "Mergers and Inquisitions." You don't have to be a finance major to get into IB but you do need to be very interested in the field.

Subscribe to some magazines and newspapers. I read the Australian Financial Review and The Economist. Subscriptions are pricey but think of it as an investment. Also look out for student discounts.

  • Read as much as you can about the field... Try to figure out what part of investment banking you would like to go into. Interviewers like to see passion in the applicant.

There are many parts to an I-bank. Trading, research, analysts, M&A, IPOs, etc.. Figure out which one best fits your talents and your interest.

  • This is soo true.

  • @LogInForPaper be greedy and squeeze other people money. U r investment banker :)

  • I am greedy and motivated by money. Yes, I'm pure evil! Would that suit investment banking?

  • My tips:

M&A : Know your valuations inside out and have a very good knowledge of the markets

  • the title should´ve been video interview experience for IB

  • I got a job in Securities and Trading!? the future of banking...

  • that clock shit is so stupid any elementary chump could've figure it out

  • SHEEP SHEEP AND ANOTHER SHEEP.

"The sound you hear is my daddy spitting on what the bankers had done."

  • I worked in investment banking (sales / trading) for 5 years covering the biggest hedge funds in the world.

Please believe me that these losers are the reason the world has collapsed. I urge every potential employee to reconsider, and do something positive with their life - I can answer any question you want me to about the real world of investment banking.

ON a side note the vault is one of the most ridiculous network of greedy losers I have ever EVER come across.

  • You are correct. These are a bunch of eager nerds who love to feel superior to compensate for a certain deficit...

  • what do you recommend doing instead of this, I'm about to start my freshman year of college and my mind is pretty much set about doing this, in all honestly it is for the money but only because I'm a product of the world i was raised in. Any suggestions that you could make would be greatly appreciated.

  • hi!! I am doing a Banking, finance and management degree, I was wondering about how could I get into an investment bank as well as wat was ur experience as an investment banker

  • Why did you leave the sector?

  • Hello johnneo12345,

What are you doing right now? Selling IB or buying HF ?

  • there back at home with there parents lol

  • Guarentee these putoso's are laid off now!!

Only Person you should go out of the way for is yourself,

  • wow i know khadija. Can't believe i suddenly see her in a video on youtube randomly!

  • Yo Khadija, love from a fellow Kenyan. Keep up the good work.

  • Wow.. I'm 16 and could work out that question in my head in 10seconds -.-

  • I think most can, if they're not completely empty up there - under pressure, though, it's a totally different matter.

  • Yeah you wish. The answer wasn't 90 degrees dumbass

  • @sabdow Yeah don't question my mathematical ability if you know nothing about me you ignorant fuck.

  • @man4hire ROFL you're Jesse Wellens? You were the biggest loser in High School and you still are hahahahahahaha

  • @sabdow Someones got security issues

  • there are 30 degrees/hour (360/12). 3 hours difference between 1 and 4 (1:20) so that's 90 degrees. but because the hour hand is slightly past the 1, the actual degree is less than 90 for 1:20. because 20 minutes is 1/3 of 60 minutes and each slice of the clock pie is 30 degrees, 30 degrees times 1/3 equals 10 degrees. 90 degrees minus ten degrees equals 80 total degrees.

  • The exact answer is 80 degrees. Position of the hour hand: 5 minutes + fraction with fraction: 1/3 (=20 minutes) * 5 minutes (=total distance of the hour hand in 1 hour) =1.666 --->5+1.666=6.666 min Position of the minutes hand: 20 minutes Difference: 20-6.666= 13.333 Proportinally: 13.333 min / 60 min = 22.223% Applied to degrees: 22.223% * 360 degrees (1 cercle) = 80
  • You don't have a fucking calculator douche bag you're in an interview.

  • Umm do you know how to read a clock zeroaffinity? 1:20 means the hour hand is past 1:00 a little bit and minute hand is at 4:00. That means the angle is a little bit less than 90 degrees.

  • so they all got the job?

  • i love clocks.

  • In your(zeroaffinity) case if there was one hand .. you are right. The answer would be 40.

  • Another way to explain this would be since it is 1:20 for the hr mark.1:20 in terms of hrs can be written as (1 + 20min/60 * 30)= 4/3 * 30(which is the degrees per hour), this makes it 40 deg.Considering the minute being at 20 and the calc being 6 deg per minute it would be 120.the difference being 80 deg.

  • Lame.... h85 degrees is closer

  • The question is what is the angle between the hour and minute hand at 1:20. The answer is 80 degrees. At 1:20 the minute hand is at 4 and hour hand is slightly past 1. Assuming 1 is the 30 degree mark and 4 is at 120 degree mark makes the answer approximately 90 degrees (120-30=90). However since it is 1:20 and not 1:00 the hour hand has moved to the 40 degree mark (40=30+((30/12)*4)). Correct answer is 80 degrees (120-40=80).

  • actually the angle is 78 degrees because each 5 min is 6 degrees on the clock, and the angle between 1 and 4 at 1:20 has 13 of the 5 mins. so 13*6=78.

  • each of the 5 min = 5 degrees

    72 x 5 min marks = 360 (degrees)

at 1:20, the hour hand is exactly 2 5min marks from the 1, which makes the angle 80, not 78
