Anyone with LE training knows that where you find one gun you will probably find two. It was apparent this man was not ok and a threat with or without a gun. I feel the officers showed extreme restraint and professionalism. He was placed in custody with out injury and officers went home safe also. He is now in the right place for what he needs. The police did far more than what they should have and showed restraint way beyond what was called for. Their patience and acceptance of the risk the soldier was imposing on them was heroic. Keep in mind he pointed a gun at a persons head and put hundreds of peoples lives at risk with his high speed run. When he was distracted they used non-lethal force to ensure he wouldn't draw a weapon or harm himself or the police. Well done officers, I salute you.

He was a mentally unstable man who left his house with multiple weapons. He could have had another gun in his jacket or pants, and could have fired on the officers at any moment. Tasing him was the best option for the officers safety. Think things through.

Anyone with LE training knows that where you find one gun you will probably find two. It was apparent this man was not ok and a threat with or without a gun. I feel the officers showed extreme restraint and professionalism. He was placed in custody with out injury and officers went home safe also. He is now in the right place for what he needs. The only thing I could see that may need addressed is the female police officer letting her guard down . Never let your feelings in the way..go home safe
