  • Hello and again welcome to the Aperture Science computer aided enrichment center.

  • Makes the room sized computers of the 1950's look like a phone.

  • but can it run crysis?

  • want!!!

  • Hey cool an actual 'factory tour' instead of calling a seminar a 'tour' =)

  • I bet this can run Crysis on high.

  • "Google-provided Personal Transportation Device" - Just call it a fucking scooter!

  • I wish I had a GPPTD!

  • google advanced technologies.... video uploaded on 480p !

    /facepalm!

  • Google Provided Personal Transportation Device A.K.A scooter

  • My DataCenter is Very good, thiis is trash

  • I bet this can run BF3, on ultra, with like 9001 FPS?

Come on, the whole of google runs on this container shit

  • its gotta take lots o space with all of chrome's user tracking

  • Comment removed

  • I guess nerds are ruling the world after all

  • You guys are lucky you don't have to clean mussels and seaweed from that plate and frame heat exchanger.

  • thanks google...because of you, i do well in college lol

  • We were using container data centers in the 90s in the military, we could pickup the dc and have it across the world in 2 weeks. We used the TAVB as the ship of choice to deploy.

  • Imagine the amount of porn you could store in this data center.

  • No matter how powerful your computing equipment is. You shall always need zip ties.

  • Lol facebook had a bigger server :'D

  • @foxgott16 no actually google does, facebook only has 1 floor for its server. google has 3, google also has more servers per floor

  • @foxgott16 google owns facebook ¬¬

  • @xmaxfactorx If Google owns Facebook, why did they make Google +?

  • @xmaxfactorx

no but both owned by Jews.

  • Millions of peoples lives living in containers! Whats next?

  • @Poster4U no wonder why there is so much to search for on Google..

  • The transportation device is a joke lol

  • HIppy this hippy that.... Show me some fuckin' power PEOPLE!

  • why in containers ? maybe they plan to move those servers fast in case of emergency !

  • @saknk1 - They are more secure because that's allot of personal data stored inside

  • @saknk1 because this way it is easier to get transported on large container-carrying trucks from their source, with no need to assemble\connect anything but electricity and ethernet.

  • Why cant they just say This thingy makes you able to search stuff, and this controls this and that!>??

  • Gay ass data center.

  • @TheWardog569 I'd like to see you build a data centre *try's to hold in laugh*

  • It would be a lagg free Minecraft server with these!

  • holy balls

  • Facebook has a much nicer set up

  • @thereddog223 This is one of many data centres Google owns. Googles processes enormous data quantities (gmail, google+, etc...).

  • Why the fuck would they need to contain any data at all of typical citizens of the world? As if the elite gave a fuck of our well being.

  • "Google transportation device" ? is this a joke ?

  • Lol @ 3:48 ? Last place I would expect to see graffiti.

  • well i can bend to your needs

  • From hot air from electronics between cold air outside you can produce additional electricity

  • Nerdgasm!

  • 5:34 EMO???? ¬¬' não é possível, eu não vi isso... kkkkkkk

  • I also want a Google Provided Personal Transportation Device. :(

  • 1 Problem:

If everyone on the planet can upload unlimited videos on youtube for free, and everyday the disk space used is growing exponentially, for how many years do you think you can go with this process?

Because you are turning Youtube like a regular TV (with forced ads) and people HATE ads, I believe the advertising program will not cover your investments anymore, one day or another this system will crash.

I am sure Google is looking for ideas!

  • @AnasTangi there's a limit to the global demand for videos, and google deletes them if they haven't been watched at all for a while...

  • @AnasTangi it's not just the ads, it's how you see the ads. google has a thing called ad sense and it tracks your searches and preferences and then uses that info to give you the best add

this is something tv cant do and advertisers pay allot for it

  • @AnasTangi You make a good point, but this is technology we are talking about, google moore's law. As time goes by new technologies are invented which make storage, computing and technology less expensive. So in effect, Google is banking their business that. Ten years back, 1GB was a lot of storage space. Now you can purchase a PC with 2000GB for half the amount of money. It is not heading for failure, the costs are reducing and google is very efficient.

  • lol @3:47 Google taggings.........

  • This is the 21st century version of the film strips kids had to watch in the 50's.

  • fuck i wonder how many bots will take it down

  • pues que tienes muchos ordenadores , instalaciones de informatica

  • I like how there is graffiti in a a Google database.

  • Google provided personal transportation device - scooter

  • 3:38

    Google Provided Personal Transportation Device?!!

    Whaat?! Hahahaaaaa

  • Someone must make a CS map!

  • @wonkus871 chalange accepted

  • Más de 30 ordenadores

  • transportation device wtf

  • They got all this money from ADS !!!!!?

  • @megadoudatron ahahahahaha

  • @megadoudatron Not just any ads... interest based, location based, targeted ads! Its big business

  • @megadoudatron it's a publicly owned company with millions of investors... the investors pay for the equipment the ads payback the investors. learn to play dude.

  • @megadoudatron But they never really asked you for any money....so it's all good.

  • 5:38 - Google is EMO (//_.)

  • so... why containers? it seems to be quite an inefficient use of space....

I'm sure there must be a reason but I just can't see it

  • @karrotop Reason one : packaging and handling costs are much less. Shipping container method : build 1000 servers, install in shipping container, test the system, ship the container. Rack method : build 1000 servers, pack in 1000 boxes, load 1000 boxes into shipping container, ship container, remove and unpack 1000 boxes, fit to racks and test. Reason two, cooling system - don't have to cool the whole building. Reason three, more resistant to fire, flood, earthquake etc.

  • Is there no radiation or something with all those big computer things ?

  • @MinecraftSkill Really..?

  • So yeah.. but can it run crysis?

  • @kofodsen well I think they can process 45000 crysis at the same time..but unfortunately, not a single one have graphics...LOL

  • how much memory has one of this containers?

P.S. how many of these containers has google?

  • Does YouTube have its own data centre? Or is it shared with Google now?

  • Why is there graffiti inside the container?!?!?

  • Really cool

  • hiya Lets rock baby

  • "Google provided transportation device" IT'S A SCOOTER STUPID!

p.s. If you google google you basically get a list of their services.

  • Interesting video Google I myself have 2 servers running a private network in my house for family basically it's 2 servers that are running a login client (Novel) not sure if you heard of it probably have but that's what I'm using. Nice work btw guys keep it up.

  • @xGetSmartx consolidate into virtual! Much better, and cheaper to run. Personally I don't like Novell (not novel) but to each his own. Plus running a domain at home really doesn't have much benefit unless you break the 10 node mark.

  • So here's my question...do you think there are over a million viewers interested in data centers? or is it because it's google? I'm hoping for the interest in data centers because then my youtube video on my data center comics will stand a chance :)

  • Awesome.......!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gmail SWAT TEAM!!! hahahah

  • @tomaspruzina i dont think you understand my question you seem to be talking about activists and not what this data center is. perhaps you're being sarcastic

  • What is this complex for? (Computer beginner talker)

  • What is this complex for? (Computer beginner talker)

  • 3:47 Good to see Google has it's fair share of tagging.

  • But... Will it blend? That is the question

  • Very nice! Google is your friend.

  • what are you going to do when it becomes self aware... what then.

  • transportation device.. hahhahaha!

  • Comment removed

  • Hiding my porn there sounds like a good idea =D

  • not sure what the advantage of using a shipping container instead of just filling that warehouse with racks.

  • @Armornone more efficient use of cooling

  • @deadbolt9019 Just air condition the room. The heat will naturally raise and the cold will naturally fall. No need for these shipping containers.

  • @Armornone I work with a lot of datacenters and the idea of open data centers is a dying idea since you have to cool a much larger space instead of just the devices. This in turn requires more cooling power. Also if you have ever been in a large datacenter you would know that there are always areas were heat builds up and cool air lingers. Every large datacenter with the open floor plan runs into this problem.

  • @deadbolt9019 You need some large ventilation fans on the ceiling to pull out the hot air. I don't think the shipping container idea will catch on. Majority of data centers do not do this and they seem to be doing just fine.

  • I want that guys shirt :D "gmail swat team"

  • Google should deinterlace this video then repost it. Nice tour though.

  • interesting...

  • I'm jellaus of people working @ Google, they all have these awesome shirts

    :o

  • If somebody crazy make explote this instalation google work it????

  • Then google reveals that this is one of thousands...

  • Hack google? CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!

  • gv

  • i want push the red BUTTON xD

  • That guys a stoner.

  • Fucking interlacing

  • Looks like a Mirror's Edge level, with the red pipes and stuff :D

  • Google can't Gymkhana.

  • its a ps4

  • Show us the internet connection!!!!

  • I found the glitch in why I can't get an invite to Google+. It's on aisle 5, rack 4, slot 1. It has a burned out card, water must have leaked in. :-q

  • Wish i worked there looks hard and challenging. Where do they keep the monkeys?

  • @WarcraftHermit Didn't you see the one on the scooter?

  • @WarcraftHermit the staff room?

  • Rollerblading inside doesn't seem so safe, 3:30.

  • I knew all those ads had to come from somewhere.

  • enjoyed the video... its amazing and i'l like to be a part of it

  • 03:47 even google can't prevent tight kids leaving their tags

  • Cannot get much better than that...good job.

  • Why is the camera quality so crappy?

  • it's nice to know google have their own taggers (graffiti the doors).

  • cool

  • one clip of a cable and there goes a chunk of youtube... "what do you mean this account no longer exists? i just make it yesterday! wtf?!" now that would suck!

  • Google Data center rocks.

  • very good job google, i work on the D-ALIX project and we have done some things like that, but most of the power is generated by wind

  • Where do the google aliens live?

  • @MrHillDo im a google alien, i live in your mama's house.

  • YEY i work there IN YOUR FACE

  • A question to Google: Can i loan your cooling plant just for 1 hour, so i can overclock my Intel Celeron to 50GHz ??

  • @TheYaXeL I don't think you can do that with water-cooling. The people who took a processor to 6.5 GHz had to use liquid nitrogen to cool it. To go upto 50 GHz, I guess even Liquid Helium won't be enough.

  • @icosahedronman yeah but we will run out of helium! and it cost allot more!

  • Stupid long hair Hippie. How dare you not buy expensive HP servers from CDW. You are stealing from them by not giving CDW million of dollars. Freaking computer pirates. If you want to play, you must play. You are cheating the system by getting this computing HP without paying the proper people. No one will take you seriously if you don't have the most expensive brand name equipment purchased from CDW!!!! Damn you all

  • Google couldn't even figure out how to deinterlace the video.

  • all the pipes are in google colors lol

  • These containers remind me of the mobile ADP container vans that housed the UNIVAC 1500 data-processing systems I used to maintain in the Marines back in the 70's. We could tear down and redeploy the entire system via airlift to anywhere in the world within three days.

  • How the hell...

  • LOL Transportation device- it's a scooter.

  • schön daten

  • nice work.................

  • "Google. Best in everything at the World"

  • google can't even properly deinterlace their videos? lame

  • "here we show our idea of google nightlife" LoL

  • at 1:58 some one is thinking they're famous

  • um..... great build for the biggest porn site

  • That google provided personal transportation device looks like a scooter to me. Damn Google in their advance technology

  • 1:55 a series of tubes indeed!

  • 2:24 that is probably not a leak, more likely condensation, happens ALL the time.

  • and if one were to sabotage this facility?.....

  • Google for President 2012!!!!!

  • @eyekantreed Good idea. Then we can have a beta version of the Presidency for the first 2 years of its term!

  • i want to live/work/die in one of this containers.

  • wow, that's a billion of dollar investment...

  • hmmm doesnt look so fancy

  • "google provided personal transportation device" hahah

  • @PunkBoy755 Which is 99.5% power efficient, lol.

  • @PunkBoy755

Did you know there is transportation device is already on cars. These are google cameras that what they use for google maps satlite image.

  • @PunkBoy755 ahahahahahahahaha

  • 5:38 i knew google was always emo... -_- \m/

  • Dear Google, starting today when you forced everyone who wants to participate in Youtube commenting to have a Gmail account, I will hate you until the day that I die. Just to prove how many people hate you so much right now, I am considering getting people together to send floods of vicious hate mail personally to the people in charge of linking Youtube to Gmail. You have no idea what you're getting into. This is just the beginning.

  • @wiseidiot5763

Well unfortunately spam filter counters your plan.

  • @wiseidiot5763 Its because google owns Youtube. If you owned youtube and a mail service, why don't you be willing to unify the accounts? It simplifies things a lot.

  • Comment removed

  • @wiseidiot5763 ppfftt, good luck. do you know how many people already do that? they can easily IP ban you and also can get the law into it if need be. Not that im taking sides, but just FYI.
