  • Sylvester Stallone is a living legend, he's my inspiration in life!!

  • Sly now, could beat Chuck in Chuck's prime.

  • I DONT RECALL CHUCK WEPNER SAYING "YO ADRIAN I DID IT"! #ROCKYOVERCHUCK

  • @dogwhisper54 Chuck is/was a bum! CHUCK NEVER WON THE TITLE, HE NEVER MARRIED ADRAIN! HE NEVER WENT TO RUSSIA TO FIGHT IVAN DRAGO! HE AND ALI WERENT FRIENDS! AND HE DIDNT HAVE A CHUCK JR! WHOS LIFE WAS ALL THAT? ROCKY! So before you comment on a STALLONE VIDEO, GET SOME BUTTFUCKING EVIDENCE!

  • @dogwhisper54 Look here asshole, first off, HE STOLE CHUCK WEPNER's life?? ROCKY HAD A TOTALLY DIFFERENT LIFE! Chuck didnt win a heavyweight belt, he didnt marry Adrian, he and Ali were not friends, he didnt have a Chuck Jr, he didnt go to Russia to fight Ivan Drago, THAT WAS ALL ROCKY STALLONE! And another thing, SYLVESTER IS INDUCTED! ITS NOT CHANGING! So if you cant learn to live with it, I feel bad for you!

  • Wtf what a faggot sylvester stole he never got into a fight in the boxing ring all he did was stole chuck wepner life and made it into a movie chuck wepner should be in the hof not this faggot

  • @toby099 if youve seen Rocky Balboa, that was all real fighting, no special cams or angles, they filmed it like a HBO fight, and Antonio Tarver said Sly is really a hard hitter, he went home with ice packs.... And if youve seen him really hitting the bag, hes not horrible, I mean, he only got inducted until the Boxing Hall of Fame cuz that last fight was REAL SHIT! But your entitled to your opinion. Have a blessed day.

PS Tell Adrian he did it.

  • "yo adrian, i did it ! " :))

  • @incazca is the actor that played adrian still alive?

  • @jbk66500 she is

  • Stallone wasn't much of a boxer himself, but I agree the rocky movies did alot for boxing and also fitness.

  • Rocky is just the ultimate inspiration. The acting, the songs, the heart all that was shown or displayed in each movie was emulated by alot of people. The songs especially they really capture the emotion and give you a boost because you remember rocky lifting the sleigh in rocky 4...rocky running with hundreds of kids on the strets of philly in rocky 2 or even an old beat up boxer earning back his respect the hard way in rocky balboa. This movie has had huge impac t on ppls lives stallone>epic

  • ITS NOT HOW HARD YOU HIT, IT'S HOW HARD YOU GET HIT, AND KEEP MOVINGG!!! WOW VERY PROFOUND...

  • @Gossage Google images of this event..That's Jake alright

  • @Gossage54 That's not Jake la motta in the dark jacket and blue shirt sitting behind?..Well it certainly looks like Jake..so who is it?

  • @james24mc i agree with you 100% homes rocky aint shit

  • He really did deserve this. Without his movies, boxing would be a lot loss popular in my opinion. Watching Rocky movies even inspired to me to start boxing. Just seeing a low profile boxer making to the top makes you really believe that anything is possible. Congratz to Rocky and... YO ADRIAN! WE DID IT!!!

  • @ClutchLikeMeIo a low profile boxer making to the top? name one you cant cuz this only happens in the movies

  • My goodness, well spoken and true. So inspirational...

  • where the hell is adrian when you need her?

  • Notice Jake la motta sitting behind Stallone..He doesn't clap at all..Raging Bull in my opinion is the best boxing film of all time.

  • @MaxDemboNo1 That's not Jake

  • @MaxDemboNo1

    well hes pretty damn old

mabye he felt tired or had sore legs or something, or mabye he just didnt know where the hell he was

i find it hard to believe he would bother making some statement by sitting down

  • HOW CAN ANYONE CALL THEMSELVES A REAL CHAMPION WHEN THERE ARE AT LEAST 10 SANCTIONING BODIES WITH THERE OWN INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONS ONLY IN BOXING WILL FANS PUT UP WITH SUCH BULLSHIT THIS SPORT IS A JOKE

  • Great speech Rocky and a well deserved recognition.

  • stallone is a legend

  • Yo Adrian !

  • sly ES Nº1

  • rocky inspired many boxers to become boxers

  • @hatah4 once again hatah4 and how many of those boxers got knock the fuck out thinking they could do something they say in a movie

  • @hatah4 hatah4 what he inspired was a lot of boxers to get a beat down thinking they could do something they saw in a movie

  • nobody delivers an inspirational speech like the Sly

  • They do realize that Adrian was not a real person right, I dunno it just seem kinda of funny to me.......................man I might get some hate

  • @PoopFart57 sounds like you want some hate

  • @number2055 On Mayweather ducking Pacquiao, part of me thinks that he's afraid of losing the undefeated record--that if he does lose, he won't have the same luster anymore. Another part of me believes that it was a calculated business decision to make the most possible money from the fight (Bye-bye, Pretty boy. Hello "Money" May.) Whatever the case, it's shameful.

  • @Ange1234 how do you feel about the champ fighting someone he picked and not the number one contender and do you think the money has changed the sport in a negative way back in the ali era the best fought the best now it seems like who ever you can make the most money with you fight or someone you think you can beat

  • @number2055 I'm sure most boxing fans know Sergio Mora for beating the late Vernon Forrest, and maybe for the woeful performance he had against Shane Mosley. Not saying that many boxing fans would like him, but I'm sure that most know who he is. Also, Peter Manfredo has gotten some respect from boxing fans. Alphonso Gomez was pretty popular amongst Mexican boxing fans. They get decent fights because of their time on Contender.

  • @number2055 As for my case of Stallone being deserving. I believe in the influence of fiction. I believe that boxing has very novelistic qualities to it and should be celebrated in literary and theatrical ways because it can attract moviegoers and readers to the sport I love. I think that drawing fans by this means has never been rivaled in any way close to Stallone's Rocky series.

  • @Ange1234 with your belief in the influence of fiction do you think anthony quinn should also get in for requiem for a heavyweight or robert de niro for raging bull these are two of the best boxing movies ever made

  • @number2055 You bring up a lot of points and I might not be able to answer them all. First off, thanks for the respect--I respect any debate involved with boxing. As boxing fans, it's our duty to debate, because it's a sport that predicates argument.

  • EYE OF THE TIGER.

  • The point is that the Hall of Fame is flexible to more aspects of Boxing than the fighters. There are MANY people inducted that are less worthy than Stallone in my opinion *EHEM* Jose Sulaiman *EHEM*

  • @Ange1234 if they are going to let actors in then why should the president of the wbc not be in what type of qualifications do you have to have to get in

  • @number2055 Granted, the movie did stray from realism a little bit, but many fighters have continued fighting with poor eye sight. He switched to orthodox to make up for that problem. For purposes of making more movies, they decided to "forget" he had eyesight problems--oh well. As for boxers that had poor eyesight yet continue fighting, Iran Barkley comes to mind and Joe Frazier had a bad eye and it's rumored that he fought with it his whole career.

  • @Ange1234 how do you forget he had a eyesight problem that would be like neo being able to see in the next matrix movie with no mention of him being blind in the third movie is rocky science fiction now i respect your knowledge of boxing but as they say on monday night football pregame show COME ON MAN

  • @number2055 As for writers, wikipedia "Boxing Hall of Fame." Off the top of my head, I know that Budd Schulberg was inducted and he was a famed journalist and wrote a biography on Mike Jacobs (Boxing Promoter), and I'm pretty sure that Bert Sugar has been inducted, but you might have to double check.

  • @number2055 Well, he hasn't promoted one fight, but he promoted the sport through the Rocky movies, and later promoted the first season of the Contender series, which gave those fighters much more acclaim than they would have had otherwise. I follow the sport religiously and have heard several mentions to the Rocky movies over the years from boxers, commentators, and journalists. It doesn't showcase the technical aspects of the sport, but highlights the pride in legacy that champions fight for.

  • @Ange1234 you do know a lot about boxing much respect. we just disagree on if stallone should be in the hall how do you feel about the champion not fighting the number one contender but someone he has picked and how do you feel about mayweather ducking pacman

  • @Ange1234 name one fighter from the contender that a boxing fan would know by name anyone who is in the sports game dose it for pride and legacy so you can not put that only on boxers what was said by these boxers commentators and journalist was it as you said the movies did stray from realism

  • Sylvester Stallone was a lock. Looking at Sly as a promoter of boxing, he has done tremendous things. The hall is all about recognition of everybody affiliated with boxing (Boxers, Trainers, Officials, Writers, Promoters, etc.) If you don't recognize Stallone's influence on the sport, you've been under a rock for the last three decades. Watch Rocky I and II and tell me you don't feel something for that character--that he doesn't make you believe that it's possible to overcome the odds.

  • @Ange1234 educate me ange1234 name me one fight stallone has promoted and one(writer) in the boxing hall of fame how did he influence the sport the fight scenes do not show what really happens in the ring how did he keep on wining fights when he was half blinded in his right eye in rocky 2 remember the scene at the top of the stairs with mickey

  • @sanjaysreloaded6 yeah I know but he´s still not a real Boxer.

I watched about 100 Times any of his Rambo movies and I almost memorized any sentence he said but he´s still not a rel Boxer. I like Rambo but it is what it is.

  • @sanjaysreloaded6 the only thing he gave inspiration to is a lot of people who got there asses beat cuz they thought they could do something they saw in a movie

  • Rocky is fake !!!

Why is he in Hall of Fame ??

  • This Stallone can claim he's not a real fighter all he wants but I bet if you got him mad enough he could knock the average man out.. You don't learn the movements of boxing for 5 movies and not be able to be a little dangerous.

  • @grownman455 do you really think stallone could knock out mr t in a real fight back in 1982

  • @number2055 Mr. T that's a hard one but Mr. T is not your average day guy back in 1982.. I doubt Mr. T could just throw one punch and Stallone would be out cold.. I was saying i think Stallone could knock the average man out.. Mr. T i don't think was ever average . haha I pitty the Fool that got in his face.

  • @grownman455 let me rephrase do you really think rocky could knock out clubber lang cuz clubber said he trained even harder for the second fight and rocky did not start to train until ardrian had that talk with him on the beach and any athletic man and there are a lot of them out there could knock out the average man cuz the athletic man is keeping his self in shape and the average man is sitting around doing nothing stallone gets no credit for that

  • @number2055 anyday

  • @hatah4 anyday you will have a comment? anyday you will make sence? anyday you will wake up from your dream? i have heard of monday tuesday wednesday thursday friday saturday and sunday my week has seven days but i guess yours has eight you got a anyday. so is anyday like a birthday or a holiday.i know anyday is the daydream you are having when you think stallone should be in the hall of fame

  • @hatah4 hatah4 MR T was a bodyguard and bouncer back in 1982 woopin ass all day everyday stallone saw him at the americas toughest bouncer contest that MR T won and but him in his movie and you think stallone an actor could could knock out a man whos job it is give out beat downs for a living could win a fight with him then you do not know nothing about fighting

  • @grownman455 did you say( this stallone) can claim he is not a real fighter all he wants? so it (this stallone)

not (another stallone).so what stallone was in the movie rambo was it( this stallone) the( other stallone) or was it rocky

  • @grownman455 stallone says himself he dose not have the skills of a boxer and the movements of boxing he learned in 5 movies is called acting sean connery made 7 james bond movies so do you also think he can be a real international spy

  • You are my hero, Sly!

  • As a long time boxing fan I thoroughly enjoyed the Rocky films. As Stallone said, it wasn't so much about the fights as it was about the struggles. Well done Rocky you earned your place.

  • It;s actually because the boxing commission love Judge Dredd.

  • Sly has done a lot for the sport, how many hundreds of thousands of young men became boxers because of the Rocky Films? Countless!! I fought in a handful of amatuer bouts after being inspired by Rocky as a child. Long Live SLY STALLONE.

  • @GCB1982 and how many of those hundreds of thousands of young men got knock the fuck out thinking they can do the samething they saw in a movie

  • @number2055

Just can't help but put a negative spin on it right. Van damme inspired many to get into karate...weather they were decent at it or not. thats what out heros do. inspire.

  • @GCB1982 i did not put a negative spin on nothing i told the truth what is it about what i said is not true

  • @GCB1982 van damme inspired a lot of people to catch a beat down also the fighting in stallone and van dammes movies are not real and some people think they can do what they see in a movie and will get a big surprise when they try those things in the real world

  • @number2055

Ask 10 top rated boxers why they started, I'm willing to bet at least half say that Rocky was an inspiration. Because of those films I fought in a handful of amatuer boxing matches and made it to a Golden gloves semi final match, was never hurt. And I"ve also trained in Kickboxing and Karate for self defense, and guess what....nothing negative ever came from any of it. I got in top shape because of it.

  • @GCB1982 a few will make it but the majority of people who think they can fight like van damme and rocky will end up getting knocked out inspiration is one thing but you still have to have some skills and with no skills even stallone who says (he dose not possess the skills of a boxer) would get knocked out if he got in the ring with a real boxer and if hundreds of thousands young men get into the ring a lot of them would get knocked out and you know this is true inspiration with no skills = ko

  • Stallone is LEGENDDDD

  • Respects to SLY from Albania.

  • it is a sad state for boxing when a actor pretending to be a boxer gets in the hall of fame the sport has be come a joke i remember when the champ fought the number one contender not someone he picked

  • @number2055 Well he was one of the many reasons boxing started to go mainstream but that is with any sport. Some movie comes out about a sport which usually leads to new fans of the sport.. I doubt anybody that makes money off of boxing has a problem with this guy.. Without guys like this and some of the more entertaining boxers the sport would only have 10 people watching two guys beating the hell out of each other.. Nobody would make money then haha

  • @grownman455 a movie about a fake boxer with unrealistic seens made boxing go mainstream? i thought it was muhammad ali and don king who mainstreamed boxing if people think the boxing seens in rock are real they have false idea of boxing rocky is enterainment it is not real boxing! the money has ruined boxing cuz the champ picks who he fights and will not fight someone he knows he can not beat like mayweather ducking pacquiao

  • @grownman455 how would you feel if hussian bolt would refused to race carl lewis or jimmie johnson refused to race jeff gordon or who ever won the superbowl the world series the nba finals or the stanly cup refused to play another team beacause they thought they could not win you would not except this but you will except a boxing champ picking who he will fight boxing is the only sport where this happens and even if the payday is big they still do not fight mayweather ducking pacquiao

  • Legend

  • What does he mean he "never pretended to be a boxer?" That's exactly what he did.

  • @fortunechild in real life.

  • He even sounds like a prize fighter!

  • Sly deserved to be inducted.

  • He does deserve it, he's done a lot for the sport. Rocky has gotten people watching (I always liked boxing but after watching Rocky for the first time I became a bigger fan of the sport) and has obviously been an inspiration for at least a few boxers.

  • @AgentSmithClan name one fighter who was inspired by rocky

  • Love this man x

  • Pretty impressive speech!!

  • Quality, Sly's looking good!!! YO ADRIAN, I DID IT!!

  • Sly Rocks!!

  • I can't stand boxing, but Rocky is easily one of the greatest sports movies of all time, and I've seen it numerous times. Like others said, Sly Stallone is a reason why quite a few people watch, and even more, connect with the sport in a genuine way.

There's a stature in Philly for him for goodness sake, and the steps outside the Philly Museum of Art are named for Rocky Balboa.

  • why?wtf did he did? come one get hit with wath? a steroid shot?

  • i do think he earns the hof ...but i don't think he earned the statue in philly....frazier should have gotten it ..

  • @coolmartcola He didn't "earn" the statue in Philly. It was a prop from the film Rocky III that was donated to the city of Philadelphia after the movie wrapped up.

  • Rocky is probably the sole reason many people started watching boxing in the first place.

  • @DaddyKyan the sole reason many people started watching boxing is muhammad ali learn your history

  • This guy did a hell of a lot for boxing. He deserved the recognition.

  • @longrob the only thing he did for boxing is make a movie with unrealistic boxing seens he half ass trained in number 2 and 3 still beat apollo and clubber come on now they were good movies but you know that was some bullshit

  • @number2055 You're an idiot. It doesn't matter if the scenes were unrealistic. It gave boxing recognition, and made Sly famous. Half ass trained in 2 and 3? What in the hell does that even mean?

  • @longrob longrob did you say it dose not matter if the scenes were unrealistic? how dose a false representation of fighting give boxing recognition the only thing he did was show his fantasy of what is like in the ring in rocky2 he spent most of his time in the hospital with adrain and still beat apollo who trained hard in rocky3 he gave no effort in training until adrian talk to him on the beach and still beat clubber who trained hard but lost cause he was breathing hard now that is bullshit

  • @longrob if you know anything about boxing you would know if you have a fight you have to train hard for at least for 3months straight even if you got the heart if you do not train you will not win watch rocky 2 and3 what he did in thebegining of his training for the fights is what people who know boxing is half ass training and still won that dose not happen in a real boxing ring so the recognition he gave was a false representation of what happens in the ring

  • @longrob longrob you are confusing a boxing movie with what really happens in a ring if you think the fight scenes should not be realistic then you must think toby mcguire really is spiderman too

  • @longrob agreed, not to mention that he sits ringside at every major fight which requires a large portion of his wallet to get those tickets

  • @adrian14643 with your logic jack nicholson should get into the nba hall of fame

  • @adrian14643 stallone sits ringside at every major fight which requires a large portion of his wallet to get those tickets jack nicholson sits on the court at every home game of the lakers which requires a large portion of his wallet to get those tickets dose that mean jack should get into the nba hall of fame

  • aww thats messed up how they didnt stand up for him lol
